Read Signal Encoding from LDF file using XNET

Hi,
I'm trying to read the signal logical text table in a LDF file. The infomation should be marked under the section "Signal_encoding_types". It indicates what the value means for the signal. For instance, a siganl "W_FAILURE" (8 bit) has the following table: "0-No Failure", "1-Hardware failure".
Is it possible to get this out using XNET or any other LIN methods? The LDF file is attached.

Hello!
The XNET API in LabVIEW can open LDF files. They are referred to as Databses.
You will find the functions in the Functions pallette under Measurement I/O > XNET> Database
You will find some examples in the NI Example Finder under
Hardware Input and Output > LIN > NI-XNET > Databases

Hi guys i am exporting data from a sharepoint list using powershell which works fine. My problem is that some of the fields contain HTML mark up. Is there a way to remove all of the html mark up from the array before writing it to csv ?
I have tried playing about with System.Web.HttpUtility.HtmlDecode but with no luck the code runs but no html is removed.

Please note Iam using ECC5.0 and it is not allowing me to declare wl_# as x as in your code.
Also if Iam using text mode I should use extension encoding etc.( Where as not in your case).

Reading Design values from readback file

Hi All,
I am trying to understand the process of reading back design signal values from readback file.
I have both the .ll file and the readback.bin file
To get the readback file, I executed the below command:
% readback_hw_device [current_hw_device] -readback_file <filename.rbd> -bin_file <filename.bin>
Now, I want to know the command or process to read the design signal values from this .bin file? Is there any command provided by Xilinx or anything else that I can do to read the signal values?

The procedure for readback that I am following here is based on the ug908-vivado programming and debugging.
I first uploaded the image on FPGA and then I executed the following commands in Vivado Hardware Manager
% create_hw_bitstream -hw_device [current_hw_device] -mask fpga.msk fpga.bit
% verify_hw_devices [current_hw_device] #### For readback verify
readback_hw_device [current_hw_device] -readback_file <filename.rbd> -bin_file <filename.bin> #####for readback capture
This looks a little different from the one suggested in your document. Can you please confirm if my steps are correct?
Using the above procedure, I did not have to explicitly send readback commands to the FPGA using JTAG as mentioned in doc:

However the other doc http://www.xilinx.com/support/documentation/application_notes/xapp1230-configuration-readback-capture.pdf mentions sending commands to the device in order to be able to do a readback.

Reading long text from excel file to an internal table

Hi
Can any body tell me how to read long text from excel file to an internal table.
When i am using this FM KCD_EXCEL_OLE_TO_INT_CONVERT then it is reading only 32 characters from each cell.
But in my excel sheet in one of the cell has very long text which i need to upload into a internal table.
may i know which FM or what logic i need to use for this problem.

Here is an example program. It will upload an Excel file with two columns. You could also assign the Excel structure dynamically, but I wanted to keep the example simple. The main point is that the internal table (it_excel in this example) must match the Excel structure that you want to convert.
Remember, this is just an example to help you figure out how to properly use the technique. It will certainly need to be modified to fit your requirements, and as always there may be a better way to get the Excel converted... this is just one possibility that has worked for me in the past.

I am doing one program where i am reading contents from .csv file from oracle forms. I m using utl_file for reading the contents from .csv file.
But problem is i am having 5 sheets under .csv file and i want to read fifth sheet's data. how do i jump to particular sheet in csv file. please help me in this case. this is very urgent.

I'm not sure of the format of a CSV with sheets : I assume it's a spreadsheet with multiple sheets ?
I know that using Apache POI you can read (and write) native XLS or XLSX spreadsheets and then iterate through the sheets / rows cells. This requires java knowledge but works really well.

i have managed to save the content of a 2d array to a text file, but i am a bit stuck reading it back and placing the data back into a 2d array.
i have a Scanner object that can read the the integers from the file using nextInt(), but i am not sure how to place them back into the 2d array.
i need something like:

I am using Kinect sensor to do some research on biometrics. Since it is impossible to find people to collect some samples, I would like to use samples from the TUM - GAID database, where there exist Color View and Depth View (in .raw format) samples. Therefore,
I need to read these samples from the file and do a batch processing, instead of performing real-time collecting of samples (where I can take automatically the Skeleton view using the Kinect SDK). So, I need help on
1. Reading the data from the file (instead of activating the Kinect sensor) and give this data as an input for conversion to a skeleton
2. Read the .raw files

I am reading from a file using the readLine() method and assigning the value to a String. Now using readLine() i can read only a single line in the document. My file consists of several lines. how do i read from all the lines and assign it to a String? Please help.

Not able to extract performance data from .ETL file using xperf commands.
Xperf Commands:

Getting following error after executing above command:

I changed page size file but its does not work for me.
