READ THIS: Verizon worker said this.....

Question

My cousin went in to verizon to buy the iphone, but basically told her not to get it and to wait for the droid thunderbolt.  Said it had everything that iphone had and was 4g.  WTH, why would he say this?  He basically almost talked her out of it and now she may wait for the thunderbolt.

I agree.  It is the sales reps job to inform consumers what their options are.  If people don't get informed, then they complain.  Now, someone informed someone and people are complaining.  Most of the reps I get don't know anything.....actually I had one rep tell me that the iPhone 4 was a 4G phone!  Of course I knew better, and called them out on it, but I am just using it to make the point that a lot of the reps know far less than we, as consumers do. 
So, I applaud the rep for doing that.  And, as someone said, what the rep said is all true.  I, personally, prefer the iOS much better than Android, and there is also no pricing announced for 4G, so it may cost you an arm and a leg, as I bet VZW will go to some sort of a tierd 4G data plan (they will not just let you add on $10/month, or something, like Sprint does, for 4G) and it is not available all over yet of course (although it is a pretty decent footprint already considering it just came up).
If your cousin wants the iPhone 4 then she should get it....period......no matter what the rep says.  If she is on the fence, then she should wait, again, no matter what the rep says.
