Reader 10.1.2 won't print

Operating System XP SP3. Installed Reader 10.1.2 and now cannot print pdf's opened in IE8, nor pdf's opened directly in the reader. Printer (HP Laserjet 1020) "prints" a blank sheet, then displays error signal and has to be switched off and on again before it will print anything else, from any other source. Prints WORD 2003 documents perfectly - as always. When previous reader version was in use, there were no problems. It looks as though an urgent error fix is needed - am I right?

Following latest security update from Adobe for Acrobat Reader, I was unable to print anything anywhere (Reader crashing). Even reinstalling from scratch didn't change anything.
After I followed the workaround listed (Reader 10.1.2 does not print), I shared all the printers from my XP Virtual Machine, thus allowing me to print again.

Reader 10.1.3 won't print on Mac OS 10.7.3

Mac OS 10.7.3, Reader 10.1.3, PDF file, won't print, error msg says "no pages selected" but they are. Irritating to have to select "print as image" for EVERY print selection.

Does this happen with all pdf document? Could you send me any one pdf document with which you are facing this issue?

Adobe reader shows text but won't print all the text

I have a form used by many and it works with no problem. Today one came in you could see all the text, but when printed, only some of the text appeared.
I checked it on 3 machines, also one that has Acrobat 9 on it, same results.
On the print setup, under comments and forms, I have Documents and Markup set, but if I click on "form field only" I do get the missing text.
As said we have gotten many forms from other people, no problems, so it really not for lack of knowing how to print it correctly.
The only print preview I can see I have is when I go to print it, it appears on the right, and it is missing the text there.
I have removed all name and address from the form for privacy reason, I did add my name in a few blocks and then saved it but it won't print that also.
for some reason only the top row under CPR AED and SFA print, but as you can see, there are a bunch that don't, along with all the names I removed.

Tuesday--still working on this, I activited the voice part of my acrobat 9 and it reads all the text while in PDF form, just won't print it.

Restarted computer and seems to be working again.

Reader 10.1.4 won't print

HP 1080 printer used to print pdf docs from a win 7 64bit machine.
Still prints other docs have tried installing different versions of reader.
Reader print interface acts like it processes the doc but no jobs show in
the printer spooler interface.
Suggestions appreciated.

Do you have Print to File checked?
Can you try Print as Image?
Anyway, you should update to 10.1.8, the latest 10.x version, or 11.0.5

Adobe Reader 11.0.7 won't print on my MAC OS X 10.9.3 (internal error)

When I initially open documents, I get this type of error messages. If I reload the page, then the PDF or document usually opens but will not allow me to print. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the application 30+ times at this point, have talked to Apple, QuickBooks, Intuit, and Adobe on the phone, though Adobe doesnt offer support for Reader or Acrobat. I am mostly trying to use my QuickBooks and Intuit payroll system to help start my new business. These require the use of adobe and I cannot print out required forms or run payroll! Reader 9.3.1 won't print issue

I've got a strange issue:
With Reader 9.3.1 updated directly from Adobe's website, our custom application that batch prints PDF files works correctly. However, when our Client Support team built the installer with Adobe's tools to update our users, the same custom application does not print the files. I'm not able to trap any errors when I issue the print call. It essentially has the registered application for that file type print the file. My app thinks that it prints but the printer never appears in the System Tray and never prints.
My guess is that there is some difference in the registry entries when installed from Adobe's site versus using the Adobe installer. I haven't been able to detect which entry might be causing the problem.
We're a large corporation so manually installing the 9.3.1 version at each PC is not a good option.
Any thoughts?

Thanks. I was logged in as Admin. What helped was the age old proven solution for any Windows problem, a reboot. For some reason, some process was probably holding on to the lock. Some uninstaller forgot to ask me to reboot, or perhaps I forgot to reboot. Oh well.

Need help with reader 11.0.5 can't print

I can open the file in reader but it just won't print. No error messages. Print screen comes up and when I click print it does nothing. Printer works for all other printing

I changed the setting you suggested, did a restart of Reader, and ... still cannot print. Same error messages.

Two obvious troubleshooting techniques are to delete and re-install the printer driver (or updating printer driver) and fixing the installation of Acrobat. Have you given those a try?

PDF's won't print using Reader 9.4.6

Have windows Windows XP OS, Adobe Reader 9.4.6. PDF's won't print, but all other types of docs print fine. Get error message "Pages not selected", although I've selected pages. Tried different printer, same problem. Tried to upgrade to 9.5, but got error message after 96% downloaded.

Similar situation here. Have multiple users getting hung up after the progress bar for printing appears.
If forced to quit, prints do eventually appear sometimes. Here's my app event error:

I installed OS 10.6 and now 10.6.1. Acrobat Reader 8 wouldn't print. Installed Acrobat Reader 9. Won't print. Canon MP530 printer gives this error message: "Unable to open raster stream. No such file or directory." No problem previously, with 10.5 and Acrobat Reader 8.

Adobe Reader 9.0 views but won't print a graphic that prints in version 7.0

I have several pdf files that were created from Adobe InDesign. The files contain a photo that has text and another graphic layered on top of the photo. When I export the InDesign file to Adobe PDF, I can see the entire image (photo, text, and graphic), but when I try to print the PDF from Adobe Reader 9.0, the graphic image does not print. When I try to print the same pdf file from a computer that has Adobe Reader 7.0 installed, the file prints fine. Is there anything I can do to fix this problem? If not, is there any way I can get Adove Reader 7.0 reinstalled (I can't find it on the website). Thanks.

Try and print the PDF as an image.
Also when you send this to someone else are hey able to print without an issue?

HP3015dn and Reader 10: PDF won't print

I installed an HP3015dn. It prints MSWord documents in simplex and automatically in duplex. It will not print PDF files.
System: Windows 7, 32-bit.
Driver: P3010 Series PCL 6. The HP Universal PS driver also works for Word documents.
I upgraded Adobe from Reader 9.4 (?) to Reader X (10.0.1). No improvement.
Fix attempted: Adobe > File > Print > Advanced > Print as Image selected. No improvement.
Advice sincerely welcome. I have a wonderful new duplex printer yet can't print simple PDF's. Kinda miss my old HP1100. :-o

Wow. I didn't realize the Adobe failure to print was so widespread. A few other posts made it clear that many others are having the same problem.
I installed foxit reader but was still unable to print.
This is a global problem which really calls for a fix.
I'll keep searching for an answer, but I welcome any help you can give.

Adobe Reader won't print

I have been trying to print an information download from Apple's help web site with Adobe Reader 9 which I downloaded after Adobe Reader 7.0.7 would not print and I assumed it to be out of date. When the download of the Mac manual or information piece is completed a screen appears which asks me to select the Adobe product to open the download. When I select Adobe Reader, the application's image is muted and cannot be highlighted. I get the same results for Reader 7 and 9.
What could be wrong?

There was a recent security based update for Adobe Reader
and also their Flash player; not knowing what link you used
to get a version of the Reader for your OS, you may not have
gotten the most recent one. And you may have to look for a
suitable updated link to get the latest installer version.
The recent version I ended up having installed, is 9.3.1.
By default, my system is set to look for Preview; but I
do have some documents set to use Adobe Reader.

One may dare venture to hope the main download page now
has the corrected most recent update with security fix built-in.
You may have to remove & re-install the most recent version.
Not sure what the printing issue may be, though.
