Reader 8 and Presto PageManager

I am unable to load a scanned pdf file in Reader 8.0 through a program named Presto PageManager. The message returned is:
There was an error opening this document. The file cannot be found.
I recently had my workstation upgraded which necessitated the reinstallation of the software that came with my Canon LiDE70 scanner. This model can scan directly to pdf format. The scanning is initiated by a program named Canonscan Toolbox 5.0 and scan file is stored on the hard drive, a new folder being created for each day and all the files scanned on that day being saved therein. When scanning is completed the program Presto!PageManager runs and loads a thumbnail/shortcut to each scanned file. Along the bottom of the screen Pagemanager lists all the other applications that could load the scanned files. Adobe reader appears among these. The usual mode of operation is to select the scanned file (one left-click) and then the application into which you want it loaded (another left-click, in this case on the Adobe Reader icon). Since reinstallation I'm stuck with the message above. The only pertinent change I can think of is that previously I was running Adobe Reader 7(?). I suspect the underlying problem is simply a setting but I'm a bit stuck in finding anything likely in the Tools.Options or Files.Preferences menus.

Yes, uninstall both (using http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/acrobatcleaner.html), then reinstall the latest version.

Adobe Reader 9 and FileSite/Worksite plug

I am rolling out Adobe Reader 9 to my network, all pc's use XP Pro, SP2 or greater. The DM system is Interwoven's FileSite. I have the latest plug-in for Filesite / Reader 9
On 1 pc with XP SP3, I have installed Reader without any problems, but as soon as I copy the Interwoven plugin to the plugin folder and then try to open adobe reader 9, it produces an error.
All other computers with XP-sp2 or XP-sp3 have worked fine
I have unistalled all adobe products and cleaned the registry, deleted all adobe folders and rebooted the PC. Reinstalled Reader 9 and it worked fine and then when I inserted the FileSite plugin, hey presto error re-appears. I can only assume that there is a bug in the plug-in?
The error reads as follows
CreateOnlineAppModeWindow:Missing context item
ImanExt.AppMode.AppName

After speaking with Interwoven support, they can either send the DLL file (imanacrobatres.dll), OR you can just uninstall FileSite and then re-install with a custom installation and make sure to check the Adobe Acrobat support option. That too will put the file in place for you.

Hi, I recently saw an ad on TV promoting a free 6 month trial for Stan and Presto for customers with bundle packages. I rang telstra and enquired about it and they had very limited information about the presto and stan 6 month free trial. I was on the phone to them for almost 1 hour and although they were friendly I felt that I got nowhere with them and did not get any clarity about how I receive my 6 month free trial periods. I have a telstra bundle phone package which I joined in February this year. Can i expect an email or postal mail anytime soon? I have actually joined up to Presto and and clicked on the link "Are you a telstra customer" but then realised that I needed a promo code.... which I obviously didnt have. In the personal details section I provided my telstra email address, date of bith, address in the hope that this would recognise me as a telstra customer but when I checked the details of my subscription it says that my first payment is due to come out of my credit card in one months time. Can someone plese provide me with these promo codes so that I can access presto and stan free trials? According to the ad on TV I am entitled to have acccess to these freee 6 month trials.... Essentially, the current promotion with the 6 months offer only started on May 12, so if you connected in February then unfortunately you are not eligible for this current promotion. If you are using Safari as a web browser :-
Open Safari, go to Safari menu > Preferences > General, and put Google as the homepage. Then, choose Google as your default search engine.
If you are using Google Chrome as the web browser :-
Open Google Chrome.
In the top right corner of the page, click the Chrome menu Chrome menu > Settings.
In the "Search" section, select Google from the drop-down menu.

I have seen this issue fixed for some users by modifying the following registry key:
The key is "HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\Memory Management" MoveImages
Set the key to 1 instead of 0 then reboot the machine.
In case you still face the issue try the following registry key change:
The only thing you have to do is rename the following key at the REGEDIT, and everything will be fine !!
BEFORE:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Image File Execution Options\iexplore.exe
AFTER:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Image File Execution Options\iexplore.old

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.
It sounds like the function to reseize the Font in an iBook is not functioning properly.
I recommend a few things here. First close all the apps that are running in the background:
Double-click the Home button.
Swipe left or right until you have located the app you wish to close.
Swipe the app up to close it.

When you have done that, restart the phone, and try again.

2. Check for app updates
You can setup apps to update automatically in Settings > iTunes & App Store, but make sure that your apps are up to date:

3. Install another app from the App Store

4. Restart the app
If the issue affects only a single app, try closing just that app.
5. Restart your device
Turn the device off and on.
6. Reinstall the affected app
Remove the app from your device and reinstall it:
Tap and hold any app icon on the Home Screen until the icons start to wiggle and show a small "x" in the top-right corner of the app.
Tap the "x" in the corner of the app you want to delete.
Tap Delete to remove the app and all of its data from your device.
Press the Home button.
Go to the App Store.
Search for the app and then download it again.

My problem is how to use my BB 9800 software version 6.0.0.546 to read/view pdf files and microsoft office documents. I have also bought documents to go from online and have installed it on my phone, but whenever i try to open it I receive a message that it is incompactible. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Why not install a 3rd party PDF reader and Word Doc reader to help open and read pdf and micrsoft word (.doc) files or documents? You can google it and select one whose way of processing is simple and fast to help you with the related converting work. It will be better if it is totally manual and can be customized by users according to our own favors. Remember to check its free trial package first if possible. I hope you success. Good luck.

There should be a Library button on the top left. If not ap the middle of the screen to get it to appear.

How to read FLAC and Ogg Vorbis

actually it's not possible to read my flac files from iTunes, so I can't directly transfer these files to my Ipod. I'd wish my ipod classic to read natively flac format but I can't even recode to alac directly with iTunes.
Is there any other app to encode as alac which can read flac and transfer files to my ipod?

You are correct, iTunes cannot play or convert FLAC. There are plugins (Xiph) that allow iTunes to play FLAC, but they still will not transfer to the iPod.

For converting FLAC to ALAC, you can use dbPoweramp. If you wish to convert FLAC to AAC or MP3, there are several tools that can do so, such as Switch.
Add the converted files to your iTunes library, and then sync the iPod normally.

For example: I want to create a file of football in which there are many key words as: "football", "touch down", "quarterback", "ball", "linebacker", "coach", "player"...
Now i want to open to read, write one more word "head" ( synonym with "coach") and store it for using next time. How could i do that?

Running a mid 2009 iMac on 10.7.5, 3 gb memory, 320 gb hd.
Suddenly the computer stoped reading DVDs and the only time I can read a CD is if I restart. Quite often when I insert a CD it gets stuck and I cannot get it out until I restart and it shows up on the desktop where I can then eject it.
I have checked and double checked the finder prefs and all looks normal showing a check mark on CDs,DVDs etc. (the ones I want to show up on the desktop)
I have reset the PEAM, repaired permissions with both the disk utility on the computer and the disk utility when I start up in the Recovery Disk. I did notice that sometimes the permission repeat the same correction several times before it moves on, and sometimes it doesn’t. I have Windows installed on a partition but I keep it unmounted until it is needed for my wife’s work. The dock seems to be just fine and all the apps seems to run just fine. When I insert a photo CD iPhoto does not open but when I insert a music CD iTunes does open.
Also, most every time I open iPhoto it takes a long time(sometimes as long as 2 minutes) for it to load.
Sometimes my Mail (Mail 5.3) does not post new mail but most of the time it does.
Once and a while it seems like the computer slows way down but then it seems ok ten minutes later.
All of these ‘things’ seemed to have happen suddenly and I have not downloaded anything from the internet in some time.
Of course the warranty and extended warranty are both no longer in effect having had this computer for more than three years.
I am running Java and Adobe Player because some of the sites I go to a lot require both.

I believe that insufficient RAM may be the source of some of your problems. If you have a RAM of somewhere 4 to 8GB, you will experience smoother computing. 3GB doesn't seem right, so you might want to learn more by going to this site:

I don't know what know what's happening with your optical drive, but it seems you use your drive quite a bit. In that case, look into a lens cleaner for your machine. It's inexpensive, works quite well.

I had a problem a couple of months ago when iPhotos suddenly rearranged the order of my Events (Why won't iPhoto let me arrange my photos?) . I was told "Use albums not events - events are not a good way to organize - albums and folder are designed for organisation and are very flexible".
Haha! I should have paid attention and read between the lines! My iPhotos were highly organised groupings - not according to date but the way I wanted them - and it was so easy to do! I see now that if I had them all in albums, as per the Apple Apologist suggestion, I wouldn't have this unholy mess I have been left with just to make iPhone & iCloud users happy. I am now going through Photos and making Albums (of what used to be in my Events) ... maybe I'll get this finished before they do another non user friendly update!

Process Chain : Read PSA and Update Data Target in BI 7.0

In my Process Chain I have a variant Execute Infopackage to load the data only into PSA. then I have next variant as *Read PSA and Update Data Target*. my data target was a Master Data table Hierarchy
In the variant " Read PSA and Update Data Target". the selection Parameters were
PSA.Table : 0GLACCEXT_T011_HIER_BA1
Selection Object Type : same Infopackage in Varaint Execute Infopackage
the Error message was Variant doesnot contain a valid combination request/data target
I checked the PSA-Table using RSA1OLD Transaction then I find four PSA Tables:
0GLACCEXT_T011_HIER_BA1
0GLACCEXT_T011_HIER_BA2
0GLACCEXT_T011_HIER_BA3
0GLACCEXT_T011_HIER_BA4
All the requests are linked to PSA Table *0GLACCEXT_T011_HIER_BA4*.
I can't understand why there exists four PSA Tables?
I try to link the PSA-table 0GLACCEXT_T011_HIER_BA4 in the variant *Read PSA and Update Data Target and try to save it it raises short dump.
If I select 0GLACCEXT_T011_HIER_BA1 in the varaint I shouldn't face any problems.?
but the process chain raises an Error message Variant doesnot contain a valid combination request/data target with this variant.
How shall I handle this issue?
Please carify me the issues as soon as possible.

Hello,
In the Variant Read PSA and Update Data Target I have to select the PSA Tabelle Name from the preselection list in the System it shows me all the four PSA Tables that I mentioned.
I can select any one of them. So I trieed with all the four PSA Tables in the list but I can selct only the XXXX......BA1 table then only I can save and include it in the PC. If I select the remaining tables BA2, BA3, BA4.........while I try to save the Variant it raises short dump.
I checked the PSA using the Transaction RSA1OLD under PSA...... I find 4 PSA Tables( I don't know whether they are PSA Tables or not but in the Variant it states that they are PSA Tables) in which all the requests are attached to BA4. only.
I observed that ony for Hierarchies I find four PSA tables for remaining one only one PSA table was available.
I totally confused how to handle this situation. any suggestions......... please help me to resolve this problem.
