Reader 9.0 - sticky notes

How do you print sticky notes. I found in knowledge base to set comment preferences but I cannot find preferences -> comments -> Print Notes And Pop-ups.

Try file>Print>Comments and forms>Document and markups.

  • Adobe Pdf Reader (Comments and Sticky Notes)

    Hi,
I have used Adobe Reader XI to review a document using comments/annotations.
After saving the file to pdf and following different edits a number of comments disappeared, leaving the file as follows:
    23rd April 2015 - Comments Present
    27th April 2015 - All Comments Lost
    28th April 2015 - All Comments Lost.
    29th April 2015 - Comments Present
    30th April 2015 - Comments Present
Is there a way that the lost comments could be recovered?
Many Thanks for any possible solution (if any).

friedbrains - this is the QuickOffice PDF reader, correct?  I installed it a week or two ago, but it's a 14-day trial and mine is about to expire.  A visit to Adobe.com takes me to the QuickOffice site for the acrobat reader so I don't think there's any other choice at the moment, is there?

  • Printing Comments (Sticky Notes) in Adobe Reader 9

    Hi,
I know this question has been asked several times before, but I haven't seen any resolution to this problem. Does anyone know if Adobe is working on a patch/ fix for this problem?
In any case, my question is this: how do I print comments (sticky notes) using Adobe Reader 9. The following are the responses I have already tried and that have not worked:
    1. Select "Document and Markups" in the print menu. I have already tried this. It makes no difference. The document still prints without the comments.
    2. Go to Edit > Preferences and choose the "Commenting" tab. There is no "Commenting" tab in Reader 9. You are probably thinking of Acrobat 9.
    3. Edit the registry key. Too risky, and since we are working on the client's machine, this is not really an option.
Any other ideas? Thanks in advance!

    Alas,
"Commenting" is not an available category in Adobe Reader's Preferences.

  • Reader 9.1 won't print Sticky Notes/Comments

I had recently updated my organization to version 9.1 of Adobe Acrobat Reader from 7. I had to perform the reg hack on 7 to be able to let my users print the Sticky notes, but that does not work in 9 and I don't see a setting. How do I get around this? We can view the notes just fine, via screen, but who would have thought, we actually need to print these comments on our proofs from our customers.
Anyway, hope someone has an answer so we can continue on 9 and don't have to roll back.
    Thanks.

I'm still getting emails relating to this issue, so I thought I would post an update here...
I've now created a tool for Reader that allows you to print the contents of sticky notes as a part of the original document, without needing the expensive File Attachment right. All you need are the standard Commenting rights, which can be added in Acrobat.

  • In Adobe Reader (11.0) the typing is very slow when I insert sticky notes.

I bought a new laptop and I just installed the latest version of Adobe Reader.
When I insert sticky notes, typing is very slow. This doesn't happen with the
other program. I've uninstalled and reinstalled. I still have the same problem.

This phenomenon can happen with PDF files that have errors in them.  Adobe Reader or Acrobat may be able to fix these errors, but if you close the application, it will ask to save the corrected file.  If you save it once, that should no longer occur when you open it again.
This is just one explanation, but it doesn't explain why that happens with every PDF you have.
Test: does it also happen with a PDF that is not supposed to contain any errors: http://helpx.adobe.com/pdf/adobe_reader_reference.pdf ?

  • Make Sticky Notes Read-Only After Creation?

    Hello,
I am wondering if there is a way to make sticky notes read only after someone has created one?
I have a form that we want people to add comments to but we don't want anyone to be able to remove those comments.  Possible?

Resolved it : in click event javascript

  • Created a PDF and added sticky notes, saved and emailed for review, recipient could not see or read the sticky notes.  What needs to be done for my sticky notes to be seen and read when emailed.  Thanks

I scanned a map and printed to create a PDF document, at that point I added sticky notes of different locations with notes of descriptions, saved and email to client for review.
Client received email but when he opened the attachment, all he could see was the map and none of my sticky notes.
What needs to be done so the recipient can see my sticky notes and read the descriptions for each sticky note?

    Hey roy,
Could you please tell me what is your Acrobat version?
Please ensure that recipient downloads the PDF and uses either Adobe Acrobat or Reader to open the sticky notes.

  • Unable to keyin Chinese in Reader X sticky note

HelloI am currently using Reader X english version in Windows 7 Pro x64. I try to key in Chinese Traditional / Simplified word in the sticky note but unable to do so.
Is there any problem with supporting input language? As I need to prepare for me presentation iin 2 weeks times.
    Thank you

    For the record, Mac 10.6.5.
PDFs are the problem, I also see no link for a "possible" solution.  Every other application can print, including Firefox, Neo (OpenOffice for Mac), Preview, etc.
My workaround has been to close Acrobat Reader, then open the PDF in Preview and print from there.

  • Adobe Reader XI - Sticky Notes Inactive

I am using the Adobe Reader XI program. Every time I place a sticky note and save the pdf. and reopen the pdf, the sticky notes appear to be rotated and are inactive. Can someone help with this issue?

Can you please tell us following so that we can reproduce this at our end -
    a) Make sure you have updated Reader patch applied on XI. It should be 11.0.6 and if it is not, please update it then re-try.
    b) If you are already on 11.0.6, then is this problem started after updating to 11.0.6 or it was there earlier as well?
    c) Does this happen with particular file only or in general with all files?
    d) Can you please provide the snapshot of rotate and inactive sticky notes?
    Thanks,
    Vishal

  • Reader XI 11.0.01: Shapes yes; sticky notes yes; highlighter/other text NO. Please help. Thanks.

Reader XI 11.0.01: Shapes yes; sticky notes yes; highlighter/other text NO. Please help. Thanks.

    Thank you so much...
    2. [first] The problem is within the application; I wasn't trying while in a browser.
    3. There is no response upon clicking buttons, which prompted me to search for quite a long time in an attempt to find some "help," in case I was somehow performing the action incorrectly. [The Reader "Help" is in name only on this subject, but I can now see why...].
    1. [eureka] When I read your question #1 and began considering the possibility of corruption or something (the ever-lurking gremlins?) I realized that I was working with a PDF from a scan, and that that was probably the issue. I immediately opened one saved from a website and it worked perfectly and as expected. I opened a different scan-to-PDF and got the same original trouble.
I'm glad one can still draw circles and attach sticky notes....
    Thanks again!

  • Adobe reader X bug in sticky note tool

    Hi,
Just wanted to put it out there (unsure if this has been discussed, I don't have time to scour the forum), while useing the spelling auto correct (right click, drop down list of suggested words, left click on desired word) in the sticky note tool the corrected word always duplicates the last letter.
    IE,
    buss= busss
    book=bookk
    computer=computerr
    etc.
I have to backspace to delete the unwanted letter.
    Thanks

    *PUSH*
Please fix this. Its just ridiculus to provide a plugin like _THE_ Adobe Acrobat Reader and not be able to implement a proper scroll behavior. Come on it can't be _that_ hard .
    Thanks

  • How to move the sticky note in adobe touch reader?

The sticky note in adobe touch reader is automatically places right in the middle of the page. How can i move it ?
If it helps, im using windows surface rt
any help would be appreciated... thank you

When Adobe Reader Touch opens a sticky note, it places the open sticky note right in the middle of the screen like this.
(Click the image above to enlarge.)
But it does NOT mean that the sticky note itself has to be placed in the middle of a page.  You can move it to anywhere within a page.
To move a sticky note, select it with a mouse or your finger and start moving to where you want.  Please note that you cannot move a sticky note outside a page.
Once you select it, the sticky note icon becomes bigger with the blue border to indicate that it's ready to be moved.

  • Sticky notes in Acrobat Reader x

Unable to activate stcky notes to be able to use in Acrobat Reader X...
What needs to be done to make this happen?

For Reader X, sticky notes and highlighter type of annotations are by default available and can be added on any pdf unless that pdf is secured (or has some special permissions due to which commenting has been disabled.). If you wish to enable all the types of annotations then you need to do the following. Open the pdf in Acrobat (any version). Click Save As->Reader Extended Pdf->Enable Commenting and Measuring.
    Hope that helps.
    Thanks,
    Abhilasha

  • Why can't I read the Sticky Notes I put in my PDF?

I've made PDFs before and added sticky notes, which I can go back to and read later.  But this time around, when I added sticky notes and saved the document, later on when I went back the sticky note image was there, but I couldn't access any of the note itself.  I thought maybe it had to do with an expired trial of Adobe Pro, but I've since upgraded and still can't read them.

    Hi bscraver,
It could be that the opacity of the sticky note changed. Do the sticky notes appear if you choose Comments > Comments List? If so, try selecting one in the Comments List right-click and check the Properties. If the opacity is 0% increase it.
Please let us know how it goes.
    Best,
    Sara
