Reader 9.2 works not on Restricted users?

Hello.
In a user/pc if i logon with administrator account the Reader 9.2 works without any problem.
If i logon with a user account the reader comes with the error "Internal error".
This situation was the same with reader 8.1 , 9.0 and now with 9.2.
Other pc/users works fine,  only in on particular pc wont work.
Can someone tell me,  where is here the problem or how can i fix this?
Thanks.

Thanks Bernd!  Works just fine now. Am I that obtuse that I wasn't able to
figure this out on my own?

restrict live application, how to? not to restrict users but the publishers

    Hi,
So there are several things that you can do using Server side actionscript.
    1) You can restrict the number of publishers. You can keep a count of number of publishers via the application.onPublish() function and disconnect users after a particular count is reached. See more about the application class here : http://help.adobe.com/en_US/FlashMediaServer/3.5_SS_ASD/WS5b3ccc516d4fbf351e63e3d11a11afc9 5e-7edf.html
    2) You can restrict publishers based on the type of client using the clientObj.agent property. See more about the client class here : http://livedocs.adobe.com/flashmediaserver/3.0/hpdocs/help.html?content=00000258.html
    3) You can use combinations of these.
    Hope this helps.
    Thanks,
    Apurva

  • ARD does not see restricted 10.2.8 users

I have ARD installed and running well on my 10.4.4 and 10.3.9 users. It also works on 10.2.8 if the user is administrator. It also works if the administrator is logged out and the restricted user is logged in without a restart. It does not work if the restricted user is the first to login after a restart or cold start. The small binocular icon shows grayed out and no ARD communication is possible. A login to an administrator will immediately connect to ARD and all is well. A login back to the restricted user then works well also. Does anyone know why ARD under 10.2.8 would be acting like this? Help please.

    Hi
As far as I am aware you can’t archive and install OSX Server. Perhaps this is the root of the problem. Your friend has installed OSX Client thinking its the server. Perhaps also he is confused about group access as there is none on OSX Client.
Is this a possibility. Also it may be better if your friend posted the problem himself with as much information as possible other wise he is going to get patchy support at best.

  • Not able to restrict users from using SU01

    Hi ALL,
We are working on roles related to SECURITY ADMINISTRATOR.
The role has been given a transaction SU01D and not SU01.
But the users are able to enter into SU01 through SUIM.
I will illustrate this situation more:
SUIM->USERS->BY LOGON DATE AND PASSWORD CHANGE
Then I entered the user id.Executed.
From the result, I was able to enter into su01 .i.e was able to use the change button of su01.
Please tell me how do I restrict this situation.?
    Reagrds,
    Ajit.

Access to user administration is not only limited to SU01.
Most likely, the threads of this search term will explain why the users can access the transaction screens of user administration: https://forums.sdn.sap.com/search.jspa?objID=f208&dateRange=all&numResults=15&rankBy=10001&threadID=&q=SU01_NAV
Whether the user can complete the transaction is a different story... for that you need to use the application authorization objects (S_USER* objects are a good start - see transaction SU21 for more infos on the application security concept for these objects)
    Cheers,
    Julius
PS: A troublesom object is S_USER_GRP, because it is important. When the user ID does not have a user group assigned, then the effectivness of this authorization object is weak, which can impact your security (depending on the access of the user without an authorization group)...

  • Startx not working as a regular user.

    Hello
At start up slim is the one supposed to handle things and it raises failed to connect to X sever or something. Then I systemctl stop it and try startx.
I have troubles with startx which ends up with a black screen when I launch it with my user. With root it works fine (.xStuff are all the same for both).
It started today after I rebooted my computer for the first time after last update 4 days ago + today (previous update was about a month and a half ago).
So I suppose it is some permission related issue since root can do it. My startx attempts don't seem to produce any log file (nothing new appears in
/var/log or .local/share/xorg). I got the root output through 2&>, but doing so completely froze the terminal when normal user.
Here is the /var/log/Xorg.0.log generated at boot.

CarID > I think I chose nividia driver because I had some issues with the open
source one at the time I installed everything. Maybe was it only that nvidia
worked fine on first shot and nouveau didn't. If I remember correctly, bumblebee
was unstable with the nouveau driver while nvidia behaved properly. I will try
nouveau again but I woudld like to understand why my system stopped working
    after last update first.
jasonwryan > I saw that, but honestly I don't really understand what it says and
what are the consequencies. Since it's from July and my system was working fine
in November I thought it was unrelated. What is this supposed to mean ? I
suppose the "redirecting stderr also breaks rootless login" explains that I
failed when I attempted to redirect startx output with 2&> as a user ?
rebootl > My laptop has NVIDIA Optimus, so when I got my it a year ago I tried to
follow the wiki about Bumblebee. I don't really remember how well I did and the
nvidia-settings in .xinitrc might well be superstition.  /etc/X11/xorg.conf
    exists and is empty.
When I startx as a user, I can't find any proper log
file. ~/.local/share/xorg/Xorg.0.log is created (correct date) but empty. I
get a black screen and the only way I found to get away is to killall Xorg.bin
from another tty. When I am back on the user tty after I killed Xorg.bin, I can
read something like that (not 100% accurate since I can only retype it so far...)

  • My macbook is loaded with microsoft work and every time I try and open the program I get an error reading and it will not open.  Powerpoint and the other applications still respond!

my macbook is loaded with microsoft word for macs and every time I try and open the program I get an error reading and it will not open. This is what it says:
The application Microsof Word quit eunexpectedly.  Powerpoint and the other applications still respond!

    The joys of Microsoft!
Maybe the preferences file is corrupted.  You should be able to find the Word preferences file in the folder:
    your user name/Library/Preferences
    Its name is com.microsoft.Word.plist
I suggest you drag this another folder and try Word again.
If that doesn't work then you might find clearing the cache files will fix the problem.  You can do this manually but I never bother. Instead I use a program like Snow Leopard Cache Cleaner (shareware) or Onyx (free). These programs do lots of other maintenance jobs so it's worth having at least one of them.

  • IChat not working with Open Directory users

I have a Mac Mini running Snow Leopard Server 10.6.1. It provides services like Address Book, iCal, iChat, Mobile Access, MySQL, Web, SMB, Push, etc... I named the server 'Alpha' with the hostname 'alpha.markhadjar.com'
I use DynDNS to help update my dynamic IP address with my ISP. They host my domain markhadjar.com. I created an 'A' record for markhadjar.com using my current IP. The DynDNS software client sends my current dynamic IP address and updates the record. I also created an alias for 'www'.
Airport Extreme port forwards the correct ports to the requested server providing those services.
All my users are listed in the Open Directory. My trouble is I can't seem to get iChat to work for the OD users. I get a connection error.
The jabber account i'm using is the [email protected] I use the server 'ichat.markhadjar.com' with port 5222 without SSL as I do not have a SSL certificate.
In the ichat settings of Server Admin, I specified ichat.markhadjar.com as the server name. I also created an alias in DynDNS for ichat.markhadjar.com - not sure if that was needed.
I cannot connect using iChat to the server. I even changed the server in the iChat preferences (client side) to just markhadjar.com with no luck.
    Any help is greatly appreciated!
    Thanks.

Mark, you mention that this server 'alpha' is running many things including Mobile Access Server. Do you also run Open Directory on the server? I am trying to figure out if Open Directory is required to be running on the server that runs Mobile Access for it to work in authenticating users and granting them appropriate access. I am hoping it is not required, because I'm having problems getting it to replicate from the Master OD server. It would be easier if it doesn't need to run OD at all. But then if it doesn't run OD, what do I need to do to "bind" it to the other internal origin server? I have read all the MObile Access doc's 50 times, and this is not clear to me. Just wondering how you are using Mobile Access. thanks man!

  • How to restrict users working on Windows 7 clients from accessing Windows Explorer and other systems in the network through Group Policy with a domain controller running on Windows Server 2008 r2

    Dear All,
We are having an infrastructure setup of around 500 client computers managed through group policy.
Recently the domain controllers have been migrated from Windows Server 2003 to Server 2008 R2.
Since this account requires extremely strict environment, we need to figure the solution for restricting the users from access anything locally.
It would be great if you can assist me with the following query.
How to restrict users logged on Windows 7 clients from accessing Windows Explorer and browsing other systems in the network through Group Policy with a domain controller running on Windows Server 2008 r2 ?
Can we disable Network Tab on the left hand pane ?
explorer.exe is blocked already, but users are able to enter the Windows Explorer by clicking on the name which is visible on the Start Menu.

    >   * explorer.exe is blocked already, but users are able to enter the

You cannot block explorer.exe when you do not replace the shell - the
desktop you see effectively IS explorer.exe...
Your requirement sounds like you need a custom shell:

  • AcroQTP works with Reader 10.1.1, not 10.1.2 nor 10.1.3

    Hi all,
I have a suite of AcroQTP scripts written against Reader 9 that I was keen on porting to Reader X. I've seen a lot of frustrated users complaining about AcroQTP not working with their version of Reader X.  I was going to add my voice to the frustration.  In my case, what I was seeing was:
    0. Unregister any previous AcroQTP and uninstall any previous Reader.
    1. Install Reader 10.1.3
    2. Register the AcroQTP plugin
    3. Start QTP
    4. Start Reader (manually)
    5. Open my form (manually)
Reader crashes!  (... and it would only crash if QTP were running.)
    (6. If I could, I would run QTP's Object Spy to see if it detects AcroField objects on my form.  But when your Reader crashes, you're not off to a good start.)
I tried many uninstalls and reinstalls to try to get this to work, with no success. Then on a whim, I downloaded the Reader 10.1.1 installer from a third-party archival website, since it was no longer available from Adobe.  I installed it, followed the same steps as above... and voila, Object Spy WORKED!
I've tried this on Win XP SP3 and Windows 7, and Object Spy worked in both cases.  After a little tweaking, my regression suite is now ticking along against Reader X.
So until Adobe addresses their issue, all you have to do is find a source for the Adobe Reader 10.1.1 installer that you trust.  Something like this, from http://www.filehippo.com/download_adobe_reader/tech/10591/
    Title:
    Adobe Reader 10.1.1
    Filename:
    AdbeRdr1011_en_US.exe
    File size:
    50.24MB (52,677,528 bytes)
    MD5 Checksum:
    72E7C5531A20556AAFA5F31978FA1105
    Happy trails,
    Brent

    Hi Brent
We have lately found that due to some of our changes in Reader 10.1.2 release, the plugins have broken.
They still continue to work with Adobe Reader 10.1.0 and 10.1.1 ON ANY ENVIRONMENT WITH ANY QTP VERSION.
For the time being, before Adobe roll out a fix, we would suggest you not to upgrade the Adobe Reader versions.
    Thanks and Regards

I have a Win7Pro SP1 PC locked down with a Group Policy as it is a public facing PC. PDF fillable forms cannot be completed when logged on as the restricted user. The forms work as a normal user. What are the user requirements/permissions needed to fill forms?

Well, try this (I was able to fix my with these steps):
    Go Utilities > Disk Utility
Select your Startup Disk, e.g. Macintosh HD
Then, under the First Aid Tab, click Verify Disk Permissions.
If there are errors, then click repair Disk Permissions.
After it is done, restart the computer and see if your problem is resolved.
    I hope this help.

Stick the below code in the Page Header > Javascript > Execute when Page Loads field.
    $('[input[name="f03"]').blur(function(){
      if ($('input[name="f03"][id!="'+$(this).attr('id')+'"]').val() == $(this).val()) {
         alert('Duplicate Entry.');
         var x = $(this).attr('id');
         setTimeout("(function(p){$('#'+p).focus();})('"+x+"')",100);
    })Note :
a.f03 is the "name" of your username column in the Tabular form.
    b. This validates only the displayed values . If your Tabular Form has multiple pages then all the rows not currently displayed will be ignored.

  • Restrict users from editing and deleting not owned items

    Hello guys.
I'm trying to restrict users from editing and deleting items created by other users. I know, that it can be achieved by using SPList.WriteSecurity parameter, but if I change its value to 2 or 4 - nothing happens...
May be there are some list permissions that can override this security setting? I tried to combine permissions in different ways but users either cannot modify any items or can edit/delete all of them...
By the way, setting ReadSecurity=2 works as it should work regardless of user permissions...
    Please help.

    Hi,
I understand that you want to change the write security for the document library. You can try the PowerShell script below:
    $web = Get-SPWeb http://serverURL
    $list = $web.Lists["Document library"]
    $list.ReadSecurity = 2
    $list.WriteSecurity =2
    $list.Update()
    $web.Dispose()
This setting will not affect the site collection administrator, he will always be able to edit the documents. You need to sue another account to have a test. If this still doesn't work, I think you need to manually edit the permission for each documents.
    Thanks,

Hi, I have a Indesign user who inherited a PC with Indesign installed. Indesign works with old PC user profile but not the new user. Any ideas how I can resolve this?

Question # 1 is what do you mean by "inherited"? Is this a case where the computer belonged to someone else? Your user would not be entitled to use a program licensed to someone else.

  • SMS relay not working with non-iMessage users?

One of the features I'm most looking forward to in Yosemite is the ability to text people without iPhones. I attempted to do this tonight, but the message failed to send and the person's name was in red. I got the standard "message failed" note, like I get on my iPhone when a message doesn't go through, but I thought it should have gone through just fine.
More info: the contact is in red, not blue or green, and when I type the phone number I get the "this contact is not registered with iMessage" error message. Of course it's not - the contact is not an Apple user!
My iPhone is an iPhone 6 running iOS 8.0.2 and my Mac is running Yosemite 10.10.
    What am I doing wrong?
    Thanks!
    Michael M

I am fortunate to report that it is, in fact, working for me, as evidenced by the fact that I sent and received an SMS to and from an Android user. There was a bit of a hiccup when I enabled SMS relay on my iPhone, as the code which was required popped up and then canceled itself. Once I canceled the entire process, and re-linked the two (Macbook Air and iPhone 6) the pairing and relay went off without a hitch.
Try this: start from the phone, then the iMac. Only input the code in Messages on your iMac after the link is established. I have a feeling it might not truly be synced yet.

  • SD photo card reader is not working; not recognized by PC (HP Envy 700-414) running Windows 8.1

My SD photo card reader suddenly stopped working - I get an error message to the effect that USB device not recognized.  How do I get this working again?

    Hello @mnskier,
I understand that your SD Card Reader has stopped working. I think you should do a backup and recovery of your computer to ensure that you do not have a hardware issue. The best way to do that is to replace the software so you have ruled out settings or a bad driver as possible causes. To backup your personal information and ensure that it is not lost I would like you to review and follow the steps set out in the HP Support document: Backing Up Your Files (Windows 8), which will ensure your personal files are up to date.
***WARNING!! If you want to keep any emails or bookmarks/favorites you will want to back those up as well as I do not believe they are backed up in the HP Backup process.
Next, I would like you to review and follow the steps set out in the HP Support document: Performing an HP System Recovery (Windows 8), which will you through recovering your computer back to factory settings.
*** IMPORTANT - Your personal files such as libraries, personalization settings, user accounts, and desktop themes are permanently removed. As well the computer settings are returned to the defaults (the way it was when it came from the factory). All apps and software that were installed on the computer when it came from the factory are reinstalled, and their settings are reset to the defaults. Additionally, software, apps, programs, and everything that you have installed or saved on the computer are permanently removed.
