Reader blocked

I now get Adobe Reader blocked for this website for many websites that I've used for years. What's up?

Hi,
Well, to begin, I am a computer user, with no special computer talents.  And ....
I thought this was a common problem since - (see the note below).
I have an iMac 27" G5 with Mac OS 10.8.5.  I am using Safari browser 6.1.  As far as I know I have the latest Adobe reader download - 11.04.
Recently whenI tried to open a PDF file that I received via email, as I had succesfully many times in the past,  It wouldn't open.  All I got was the message "Adobe Reader blocked from this site ".
NOTE:     I recently received the adobe warning about some personal information on your site being hacked.  I changed my password immediately.  After a day or so I changed again to a more complex password.  It has been since then that I have received the Blocked Message.
Well, I hope this gives you a better idea of what is happening.
Thank you.

  • "ERROR: Could not read block 64439 of relation 1663/16385/16658: Result too large"

    Hi,
I've already archived a lot of assets in my final cut server but since one week there is a message appearing when I click on an asset and choose "Archive". The pop-up says: "ERROR: Could not read block 64439 of relation 1663/16385/16658: Result too large"
Does anyone know what's the problem and/or have any suggestions to solve my problem?! I can't archive anymore since the first appearance of this message.
    What happened before?
-> I archived some assets via FCS and then transfered the original media to an offline storage media. That system worked fine for the last months and my normal server stays quit small in storage use. But now, after I added some more new productions and let FCS generate the assets, it doesn't work anymore...
It's not about the file size - I tried even the smallest file I found in some productions.
It's not a particular production - I tried some different productions.
It's not about the storage - there's a lot of storage left on my server.
So, if someone knows how get this server back on the road - let me know.
    THNX!
    Chris

I would really appreciate some advice re: recent FCS search errors.
We're having similar issues to C.P.CGN's 2 year old post, it's only developed for us in the last few weeks.
Our FCS machine is running 10.6.8 mac os and 1.5.2 final cut server with the latest
    OS 10.6.x updates.
FCS is still usable for 6 of 8 offliners, but on some machines, searching assets presents "ERROR: could not read block 74012 of relation1663/16385/16576: Input/output error."
Assuming the OS and/or data drives on the FCS machine were failing, I cloned the database drive today and will clone the OS drive tomorrow night, but after searching the forums and seeing similar error messages I'm not so sure.
FCS has been running fine for last 4 years, minus the recent Java security issues.
Thanks in advance, any ideas appreciated!

In last few days, when I click on link to a PDF document, I get a new tab, but a black message saying Adobe Reader blocked for the site. I've installed, and agreed end user; but nothing changes.

  • Adobe Reader Blocked in Safari

It's been a while, but ever since I upadated to Safari 7.0.1 (or maybe even the version earlier), I've been unable to open any PDF documents inside of Safari. When I click on a link on Google linked to a PDF document, a grey page shows up with the message "Adobe Reader blocked for this website" I tried clicking the message and a panel dropped down asking me whether I trust the website or not. But even after I clicked Trust and the page reloaded it self the PDF still doesn't show up.
Anyoen know how to get around this? I know Apple got rid of native support for many web applications because of security threat but there should be a way to put it back in right?

  • FCS "ERROR: could not read block 74012 of relation1663/16385/16576: Input/output error."

I would really appreciate some advice re: FInal Cut Server search errors.
FCS has been running well with our Linux based raid Editshare for 4 years, notwithstanding the recent Mac OS Java security issues.
Our FCS machine is running 10.6.8 mac os and 1.5.2 final cut server with the latest
OS 10.6.x updates, ancient I know.
FCS is still searchable for most of our offliners, audio, gfx and onliner machines running 10.7+, but in some cases, searching FCS assets results in "ERROR: could not read block 74012 of relation1663/16385/16576: Input/output error."
Initially assuming the OS and/or data drives on the FCS machine were failing, I ran disk utility's repair, verify. time machine, and cloned the database drive. I'll clone the OS drive tomorrow, but after checking the forums tonight and seeing similar error messages I'm not so sure it a degraded drive issue.
Thanks in advance, any ideas appreciated!

  • How to read block of rows from database tables

I have created a Database Application in Java and display all the records in tabular format of one Table. This table have Millions of Rows, If I run Select * from Table, then my Machine not responding, so Now I wants to add paging of 1000 rows at one time.
Is there are any option to read block of rows at one time and then query again for next page ?
    Please let me know..
Database : SQL Server 2000/2005, Oracle and MYSQL
    Thanks in Advance
    Laxmilal

Refer to the SQL documentation of the database server how to query a subset of records.
This has certainly nothing to do with JDBC nor Java, but with SQL.

  • Message: "Adobe Reader blocked for this website"

When I try to open a pdf file a message appears "Adobe Reader blocked for this website". i then click the little arrow and another window pops up and it reads: "Do you want to trus the website www.........com to use the Adobe Reader plug in? And when I click "Trust" I can then move on to my PDF Download. This was never an issue before and wonder how I can rectify this? Does it have something to do with a 'plug in'?

    What browser?  On what OS?

  • Adobe reader blocked for this site

Since the transfer to OSX Mavericks it happens rather frequent that at opening a site page I get the message "adobe reader blocked for this site". I do not know if the installation of Adobe reader is required by Mavericks. I thought it is by default that Preview should take care of this. Or???????
So once I installed Adobe reader and found out that Adobe is the new default. I do not want that, so I eliminated Adobe reader.
Any suggestion on what is going on would be appreciated.

OK, found out how to restore Preview to be the default for opening PDF files. However, Safari 7.0 still refuses to use Preview as the default to open pages  that require a PDF reader. Anyone knows how to tackle this?

  • Adobe Reader blocks Windows Photoviewer

    Hi Guys,
we have several PDF with links to pictures on a Windows-Share.
Everytime we click on a link to open a picture Acrobat Reader blocks the Windows Photoviewer.dll.
When we disable the Protected Mode the Warning still pops up, but then there is a checkbox "Do not show this message again".
Is it possible to verify our Share as a secure area so the popup will not show again?
Sadly there is nothing about links in a PDF on the Arobat Reader Help sites.
    Thanks in advance,
    Andi
Edit: We use the latest Acrobat Reader 11.0.4

  • Abobe reader blocked from site

    Ok,
Adobe reader blocked from site -- message that appears after clicking on a pdf on the following sites. Does not occur on all sites but increasingly so.
    Tested on these sites:
    www.vmware.com
    www.uscis.gov -->http://www.uscis.gov/sites/default/files/files/form/n-400.pdf
    http://www.bsatroop321.org/BSATroop321/Troops_MB_files/Citizenship%20World%20Troop%20321.p df
    Symptoms
    1. Go to site
    2. Click on PDF found on a web page on the site
    3. Get 'black screen'
    4. Asked to trust or cancel. Also instructions to go to preferences and set trust or not for site
    5. Select 'trust'
    6. Go back to URL of PDF and all that appears is a solid black screen with no message.
    Running Mac OS 7.5.1
Replicated problem on both Chrome (latest version) and Safari 6.1.
Have tried 'allow', 'always allow' under Safari's security preferences for 11.0.4 in Safari's preferences menu. Doesn't help.
Have latest version of Reader, 11.0.4 or 11.4 installed (installed this 3 days ago). BTW, Adobe Reader v 7 was working fine!
A resolution to this would be great because I need certain PDFs for work or to train Boy Scouts in their merit badge class.

  • Acrobat reader blocked

For selected sites, black screen appears. Text appears: "Adobe Reader blocked".
Allows one to click on it to either trust or cancel. You expect Trust to allow you to see the PDF. Selecting trust results in no access to the PDF. Only see a black screen.
    Safari 6.1
    Adobe Reader 11.0.4
Going into Safari and Acrobat Reader preferences and turning off and on various settings does not seem to fix the problem.

    I tried Carolyn's solution.
Flash Player.plugin of 10/8/13 (mod date) was in the Internet Plug-in Folder. There was not Flash Player.plugin inside the Internet Plug-ins folder (disabled). In fact, there was not Internet Plug0ins folder disabled. There was also Flashplayer.xpt in the Internet Plug-Ins folder. Any other thoughts would be appreciated.
