Reader Crashes when I use the Find function

Hey All,
Everytime I try and search a document using the find box at the top of Reader, the entire program crashes. Anyone know how to fix this ? I have tried reinstalling. I am using Vista Ultimate.

Hi.. Welcome to the Palm forums. Yes a hard reset is what his necessary here. The cautionary part is that it will clear all your data of the device so you need to be sure you have synced and have a backup. Then do the hard reset, if you need info on how go to kb.palm.com solution id 887.

I posted this message a couple of weeks ago. Unfortunately, I was unable to perform the suggested fix and now the reply to my request for help is no longer available. I didn't know that messages drop off the system.
Whenever I tap on the Find icon, enter a search term, then tap OK, there is a flash of the screen changing then an immediate crash. I think the suggested fix was a hard reset, but there were some cautionary comments as well. I'd appreciate getting the help...again.

Acobe Acrobat 11 crashes everytime I use the commentary function.

My Acobe Acrobat 11 crashes everytime I use the commentary function. Both when looking at and adding comments. This happens with all documents.
I just updated my mac to 10.9. Nothing changed.
I have tried deleting some fonts. Arial and Tahoma. But no use.
I have an Imac 2,66 GHz Intel Core i5
Am I the only one with this really annoying problem?

I do not use iCloud because I have no wifi at home, limited data available for regularly backing up, and I have a 64GB phone and don't wish to pay to upgrade from the 5GB iCloud storage. Am I doing something wrong? It worked so seamlessly on my loaner phone that I am completely stumped as to why it will not restore those items to my original phone again.

The iphone is designed to be synced to your computer or cloud service. Your contacts should be in whatever program/service you have chosen to sync.
If you have failed to do this, then they are likely gone.

Photoshop crashes when I use the marquis tool.

Photoshop crashes when I use the marquee tool. As soon as I make a selection it crashes my computer (every time!) by either rendering the screen black or sometimes all white. I have to force shut down and restart. I'm using MacBook Pro OS 10.6.8 with Photoshop CS6. I am not in a position to update OS at this time. Is there anything I can do to work around this problem? It's extremely time-consuming and infuriating.

That is not an application crash - that is a kernel panic, which means there is a hardware defect, a bug in the OS or a bug in a low level driver (like parts of the video driver). Kernel panics are not caused by applications, but by defective hardware or bugs in the OS and drivers.
Resetting prefs may avoid the settings that triggered the crash - but the cause remains in the hardware, OS, or driver code.
Since Apple is not going to update the drivers in 10.6.8, your best bet is to update the OS when you can, and hope the new drivers are in better shape. Unfortunately, it is also possible that you just have a bad GPU or video RAM - and fixing that would require replacing the video card or system (in the case of laptops or all-in-one machines).

You'll need to give us more information. What OS, what Photoshop version, how much RAM, what is your video card, and what are your performance preferences, etc., etc. -- ??

Basic troubleshooting steps outlined in the user guide are restart, reset, restore from backup, restore as new device. Try each of these steps until your problem is solved. If these steps fail to solve your issue, then you'll need to bring your phone into Apple (or an authorized service provider in your area) for evaluation.

You can't do it directly on the iPad - the new album functionality basically only allows you to copy photos into those new albums, you can't move them. The way that I think of it as working is that you are just creating pointers to the photos in those new albums, so if you then delete the original photo on the iPad you therefore automatically delete all the pointers to it.
If you want to re-organise your albums then you will need to do it on your computer and then sync those albums over to the iPad

Using the "Find" function in RoboHelp 9.0.1.262

I'm using RoboHelp 9.0.1.262. Is it possible to use the "Find" function to find text in an entire project? I have only been able to use it to find text in individual topics within the project. This would be very inconvenient to have to go to each topic to do the search.

I'm not sure I would quite agree with saying the RH Find and Replace is lame or that FAR is just another text editor.
The RoboHelp Multi File Find and Replace has a serious limitation but it is one that is common. Most text editors do not search across multiple lines as I said.
FAR is not something I would regard as a text editor, more a compilation of authoring tools. Just today it save me a whole lot of work by being able to extract an HHC file from a CHM so that I could then get it into a RoboHelp project I had inherited with a wrecked TOC.

Hi,
have you tried to connect on the command line (instead of using R3trans) ?
db2 connect to AE1 user sapae1 using .....
If this works and you have verified that the DB2DB6EKEY is set properly, use dscdb6up to update the password in the password file dscbd6.conf.
Then try again to use R3trans to connect.

HT201493 When I use the find my friend app Its says ME

When I use the find my friend app to notify me when my wife has left her class it tells me that I have left (John Doe has left) instead of telling me that friend ABC has left. So if I am checking to see that everyone is on their way and I have Notify activated regardless who its reporting on it say I (John Doe) has left. In short It just tells me that I have left no matter who I’m checking on.

You state you configured your iCloud account on your iPhone 5 but the Find My iPhone app says it's not registered.
Did you actually enable Find My iPhone on the phone?
iCloud: Set up Find My iPhone
Set up an iOS device
On your device’s Home screen, tap Settings, then tap iCloud.
If you’re asked to sign in, enter your Apple ID or, if you don’t have one, tap Get a Free Apple ID, then follow the instructions.
If Find My iPhone (or Find My iPad or Find My iPod) is turned off, tap to turn it on.
Tip: For added security, set up a passcode that needs to be entered before anyone can access the apps and information on your device. To set up a passcode, go to Settings > Passcode or Touch ID & Passcode. If your device has iOS 5 or iOS 6, go to Settings > General > Passcode Lock.
Again, it's under Settings > iCloud > Find My iPhone (at the bottom).
