Reader does not use or display the embedded fonts

I have an odd problem with both Reader X and XI. Neither one will use the embedded fonts when opened from an email. I can forward from that PC to any other PC and the fonts will display correctly. The HP is Windows 7 64 bit. I can view the document that was forwarded through it on XP, Win7 Win8 or Ipad and it displays correctly. The "use local fonts" is uncheck but it seems to ignor the change.

Portege 7200 does not use full display

Have loaded windows 98SE onto portege 7200 (model number PP720E-6390W-EN) and cannot get the display to use full screen.
I have downloaded display-win9x-650554022icd driver but there is no '.exe' file to initiate the installation. Any ideas?

what a kind of file was there? Maybe an *.inf file? If a such and *.inf file is existent then everything is alright. Just go to the device manager and to the graphics device,
go to install new driver and then when windows is asking for an driver, just define the folder where the drivers are as the driver destination.
Windows should take the driver and install it.

Hi, I'm developing with Adobe Flash Builder 4.5 and I have a problem that the mx components displaying wrong the embedded font which is embedded in a css-file. But spark components have no problems with displaying the embedded font.

A simple way is to flatten the form fields, which converts the field appearances to regular page contents. You can do this with JavaScript or PDF Optimizer (Advanced > PDF Optimizer > Discard Objects > Flatten form fields). Some external ones do not work with the Mac's although most do. There are some driver compadibility issues with Mavericks, so I would wait for an update.

I am currently using Adobe Reader version 9.1.3. When I open certain files, it displays the following message, "Cannot extract the embeded font 'KDGXKF+TTF5BC9A0t00'.Some characters may not display or print correctly". Some fonts are actually missing and will not display when printing. I have tried updating adobe but the problem still persists. BUT, does it say "embedded" or "embedded subset" next to the font name. If not, the font isn't included in the file and if you don't have it, it can't display or print it.
The file creator will need to embed the fonts properly although "some" fonts don't allow embedding. This could be one of them.

I have found a fix after doing additional research through this forum. Tech Note #328730 addresses this problem and it works for Photoshop Album 3.2 even though it was written for release 1.0.

When using this fix the Tech Note indicates:
"Imported image data and tags are lost when you re-create the My Catalog.psa file, so you need to reimport images and reapply any tags"
however it did retain the captions (at least it did for me).

My iPhone does not automatically switch off the display light when it is locked. Therefore, if I get an e-mail/text message/pop-up from other application, the light just stays on, which obviously drains my battery.
The problem just started yesterday, and it has been a couple of days since I updated the software, so I wouldn't think the software update is the problem.
I have tried restarting the phone (using home and lock button), but that did not work.
Something else that seems weird is that once in a while, a blue beam rolls over the screen from one side to the other. I don't know why it does this, and have no idea whether this is related to the display light issue.
I hope someone is able to help by telling me what to do in order to get my phone to act normal again.

Cannot extract the embedded font arial.Some char might not be displayed

              Our requirement is to generate the customer account statement for a set of cusomters during a particular period.
                     we use a script to generate the statement and convert it to pdf.This pdf is then stored in the application server and retrived using cg3y transaction.The transaction allows the statement to be generated for multiple customers and company code.
the problem that we face is that the first customer account statement is generated properly the rest of the statements are not displayed properly.When we open the customer account statement we get the error 'Cannot extract the embedded font arial.Some characters might not be displayed properly'.All the Headings that we of the font BOLD ARIAL were not displayed.
This error does not occur for the first pdf file generated.(say we have 3 customers for the 1st customer pdf is proper however for the next two error'.
                     When I checked the application server I found that the first file has font subtype as Type1 and then rest of the files have font subtype as Truetype.
This is working fine.I downloaded the file to pc using cg3y.the pdf looks fine.

Hi,
this can be related to the compression of the PDF file.
You can turn off the FlateDecode compression again via report RSTXPDF3 as described in Note #843480. It is a little confusing. The option 'FLATE_COMPR_OFF' needs to be set to 'On' to turn off the FlateDecode compression.
To set this please run as follows:
se38 -> RSTXPDF3 -> enter 'FLATE_COMPR_OFF' in the 'Name' field -> Select 'Change Settings' radio button
You will get a pop-up 'Do not use flat compression'.
Select the 'on' button.
After this check if the PDF is created correctly.

We are talking about the Mail app, right? In the Mail menubar, click on Window and then Previous Recipients:
That eliminates the previous recipients. If you are talking about the suggestions because there are 10 people with the name 'Steve' in your Contacts, then I do not know how to eliminate those unless you change the name slightly or wait until you type the last name or some other differentiator.

My table of contents does not use the entry style I select for words in the paragraph that have character styles applied to them in the chapter, so some of the letters are showing up as green, which is fine in the chapter but not in the TOC.
