Reader Download for Off-Line Computer

I would like to download the newest reader for use on an off-line computer.  Choosing "save" from the download window copied to my flash drive, but when I went to install it on my remote computer it terminated and my installation file was erased.  Is there something I'm missing?

You can download the full installer for several versions of Reader from here:

Why doesn't iPod touch save articles in the Reading list for off line reading?

Because Apple did not set it up that way. Email the list to you. The Users Guide says:
View an article in Reader: Tap the Reader button, if it appears in the address field.
Adjust the font size: Tap .
    Share the article: Tap .
Note: When you email an article from Reader, the full text of the article is sent, in addition to the link.

  • Can I burn PSE 12 download for off line install?

If I buy the PSE 12 upgrade download from Adobe, does the download include all of the files that I need to burn to a DVD so I can do an off-line installation on another computer? I am concerned that the download will just be an installer that requires an Internet connection to perform the installation. Thanks.

Obviously I did not make myself clear. Sorry. I have PSE 11 installed and I have an Adobe Id. I assume that when I download the PSE 12 update I will get a new license key. If I have the installation files on a DVD or hard drive and I need to install without an Internet connection I should be able to do so and run in trial mode until I get connected. I do understand that if I have to reinstall on a different machine I will have to have an Internet connection to register the new machine.
Normally I would wait until early December when Costco has the boxed product. They always have a better price than any altenative I have found. Unfortunately, because I have a new Canon 70D and only PSE 12 supports the 70D I would like to get it now. I can use the DNG converter to edit images, however, there is no way to get the Canon 70D RAW files into the Organizer and that will become a larger and larger problem that I will have to fix when I finally do get PSE 12. Thanks to both yourself and John for your help.

Was wondering if I could store web pages on my Macbook for later reading. Tried the reading list feature but that only stores the link so when off-line you still can't read the pages.
I want to store several pages whilst online and then read them whilst off-line.
    All help appreciated.

If you're using the mobile reader, you can use the technique mentioned in this infographic titled How to work with files on the go using Adobe Reader for mobile. Or, now you can access Acrobat.com from the iPad just using a browser as mentioned in this blog Acrobat.com on iOS is a beautiful thing.

i used apple mail to access a go daddy email account, will all the data (folders, contacts, messages) be saved for off line use?

If it is saved to a local folder, then yes.
IMAP typically it stays on the server. POP typically you down load to your computer with the option of leaving it on the server.

How can I keep email to read later when off line please

I'm not sure how it works on your iPad, but once the email has been downloaded onto my iPad, I can read them even in Airplane mode with WiFi disabled. I don't see the images that are in the emails, but I can read the messages. I have one POP account and three IMAP accounts and it works for all four accounts.

  • Archive Web Page for Off Line Use

    Hi all,
I'm currently enrolled in an online music program where I have to review/study web pages for my course instruction. These pages contain standard HTML text, graphics, mp3s, multiple flash applications and quite often embedded quick time movies. To date to back these pages up I have physically printed each page and then discretely downloaded and saved all mp3s, flashes, and quick time movies. However, as I'm sure you can guess, this leads to a very disjointed "archive" of paper product, separate quick time movies, and flash applications. So here's the question:
Is anyone aware of an archive utility that will save a web page like above in it's entirety onto my mac for off line use? I have seen a few web archive tools like I'm looking for, but all appear to be for Windows or older versions of mac OS. So any direction would be much appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Rick.

    Hi
    Welcome to Apple Discussions
Give this utility a try. The way this works. After you install the app. in your Applications folder, open it. A panel appears.
Then go back to Safari. Open the web page you want to archive. File>Save As. When the panel opens make sure the drop down menu is set to "Web Archive". Then go to the location where you saved that page. Move the web archive file onto the Utility's panel. This will create a folder with the various web components for that web site.
Also, either update your tag to your current version of OS X Leopard, or if 10.5.2 is correct, consider upgrading to 10.5.5 via Software Update.

How do I save an on line newspaper article to read off line? Because of a recent update sent to me by Apple I'm unable to do this with my "Reading List". If not how do I get rid of the update so I can save my article

    Hi ...
    Reset the device:
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
If that doesn't help, tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings
No data is lost due to a reset.

  • Download Tutorials for Off-line Viewing

    Hi
I am new to Aperture 2 and keen to learn more. I have an hours journey in the morning on public transport and this would be a perfect time to watch tutorials (off line). Does anyone know whether there's a way of downloading Apple's Aperture tutorials so that I can do this?
    Many thanks
    Jim

Apple has made them available as podcasts.

  • How do I save files to my mobile device for off-line use?

I want to download my files to my iPad for reference when the device is off-line.  Can this be done through Adobe.com

OK, I just tested this out and it appears that once you open the file while on-line, it is downloaded automatically and available off-line from that point on.
Not sure if subsequent highlighting will sync, but I will give it a test run as well.
If anyone knows an easy way to open multiple files instead of doing each one individually, that would be great.
    Thank you in advance.

  • Cannot Read Kobo Books Off Line

After no problems with Kobo on my Playbook for six months, I discovered that I can no longer read my Kobo books off line. I deleted then reloaded the Kobo app, downloaded all my (current) books again and reset dog ears on my current read. However, when I turnoff wireless or don't have internet service I can't access my Playbook loaded books. All I get is a white screen, bookmark symbol and a continuous rotating "loading" symbol..
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

This has happened to me too, which is a real pain. I have found that if I open KOBO when online in the morning and leave it on my library page and put the playbook onto standby, then I can leave home and get the train and open the book I am reading. But it only seems to work for a finite time which I haven't yet determined. After that I just get the endless whirling circle if I try to open a book.
KOBO were very helpful and the reply I got was that the App used to work until Blackberry upgraded to OS2. If you have OS2 the Kobo app needs to be online. They acknowledge that this renders their app useless for commuting readers with no wifi and say they are working with Blackberry to solve it. Perhaps we should all lobby BB, if only I could find out how to send them a message...
