Reader Download Problem

Downloaded latest Reader, but it displays error message when called up that seems to imply that I'm running Windown NT 5.1 when I'm actually running Windows XP Home Edition, SP3... HELP!

NT 5.1 is Windows XP's internal name. So far nothing wrong here. Beyond that we would need to know the exact error message. Quite possible you need to do something on your system because you are missing a critical Windows Update or whatever...

You don't need Adobe AIR to download or install Adobe Reader.
Try downloading the offline installer from http://get.adobe.com/reader/enterprise/

Adobe Reader download problem! Pls help!

I recently did a little 'housekeeping' on my Mac to clear up some space. But I must have deleted something I shouldn't have...When I go to open Adobe Reader an error message pops up. "Adobe Reader could not install correctly" then in subtext "Adobe Reader was unable to install and must quit."
I have never had problems before. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Can you open Adobe Reader by itself? If so, try to disable Protected Mode (Edit | Preferences | Security (Enhanced)).
If not, tell us your operating system and Reader version.

I was trying to figure why when downloading Reader to my windows XP Pro Sp 3 IE 8 desktop I was getting an error window saying a script error occurred on this page and it would ask if I wanted to continue. If I said yes it would hang for ever. So I was chasing the very sensible suggesstions and after about 1 hopur and half of my hair I spied a URL on the script error window that popped up originally and whenevr I retried the install/download. I went to the url and it offere me a download of something so i jumped on it. I tried to download/install reader again and it worked! So I am trying to get that info out there but dont really know how so here it is for anyother poor soul thats coming up MT trying everything else. So If someone knows how, please disseminate this info where it will help.

Hah. Yes it is a little rugged. I printed it but did not save so i found the discard, scanned it and there you are. The point I was trying to make was exchanging information that may help someone who encounters an obstacle such as this. In the moment that this was happening there was no such mention of what you are saying except for a Microsoft file search document that came up. That would involve either paying for an offline installer or getting a freebie that has catches and conditions that a neophyte considers stressful and causes consternation and runs around in a panic. Not everyone knows the benefits of forums. I do now after spending money I di not need to and bothering people to help me. That being said. I personally have never seen something like this that actually has the URL to access for the installer. See, its easy if you know how but, a different story if you are ignorant of the finer points of troubleshooting. Soooo, I just wanted to know where to put this info so somebody might possibly benefit from my experience. That is what I am trying to tell you.

Download Problems with K8N Neo4 Platinum Nvidia Ethernet Controller

Just to ask if there is some basic setup for Nvidia network drivers in Windows or in BIOS since I'm having download errors with a DSL connection when i use the Nvidia networking controller, not depending from the OS I'm booting (WinXP Pro SP2 or WinXP pro 64). When I download using the Marvell Yukon controller everything works fine in both operating systems. Additional specs:

Firefox downloads "failed". Have reset FF, been through "downloading problems" trouble doc, and uninstalled/reinstalled FF w/o luck. Safari is able to download.

Recently I am unable to download anything in FF. It briefly acts as if downloading, but the file is corrupted and the next to the file in the DL manager it just says "Failed".
I tried Resetting FF. No luck.
Then I tried all the steps in the "downloading problems" support doc. No luck.
I tried with all add-ons disabled. No luck.
In desperation, I searched for "Firefox" and moved two folders called Firefox, the application, and a .plist file to the trash (still there) and redownloaded Firefox and reinstalled. No luck.
If I click on a .pdf it will be be viewable, but it won't download. It's not just .pdfs that fail, it is any file I try and download.

I have the same problem and I also tried a lot of troubleshooting advices without any success.
The problem seems to be with OS X Parental Control turned on and using a other account than the one of the admin.
The user sl-nw found a short-term solutions (changing back to version 31, working like a charm or turning off Parental Control), yet a long-term solution is needed:

9iAS is still a few weeks away from release.

Eric Cosby which Adobe software or service are you referring too? Have you tried utilizing the Activity Monitor to verify that Safari is closed?

"Eingabe der Seriennummer zusätzlich eine "alte Seriennummer"" hört sich nach einer Updateversion. Falls keine Vorversion vorhanden ist, ist diese leider "Wertlos". Also nochmal genau auf die Box oder den Bestellvorgang schauen.
"Es kommt die Meldung: "Beim Extrahieren einiger Dateien ist ein Problem aufgetreten". Passiert manchmal beim Auspacken der Installationsdateien. Einfach mal 7-zip installieren und das Installationsprogramm auspacken. Da drinn gibt es einen 32bit und 64bit Ordner mit den eigendlichen Setups. Das korrekte Setup starten.
Die aktuell LR Version kann hier Adobe - Lightroom : For Windows : Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 5.7.1 heruntergeladen werden. Eine älteren LR5 Version muss vorher nicht installiert werden. Allerdings löst auch das nicht das Problem mit der "Update"-Lizenennummer.

I have downloaded oracle 9iDS using GETITRIGHT , unzipped it but SETUP.EXE from disk1 doesn't run !
Does any one have a clue?
