Reader's end license agreement?

I am trying to run a pdf report on my banks website, but when Safari (Version 8.0) opens the new page I get message saying "Before proceeding you must first launch Adobe Acrobat and accept the End User License Agreement".
I don't have Acrobat installed just the reader (Version XI 11.0.09), I have tried checking for updates but it says I am up to date.  The messages started happening after upgrading to Yosemite.  I tried launching the reader but I'm not asked to accept any EUL's?
Suggestions?

With Reader closed, you can try going to your Applications folder, double clicking on the Adobe Reader icon, and accepting the license.

  • I have a mac/downloaded latest adobe reader & cannot find to accept end license agreement

I have a mac/downloaded latest adobe reader & cannot find to accept end license agreement.  It says downloaded successful.  I go to use it and it won't work.  Said to close.  I've opened adobe reader again and brings me back to install which I hit again and it says already installed.

I am having this same issue, which is frustrating.  How does Adobe not have weekend tech support?  I keep getting told to just "open the program"  well, i have tried to open it, and it doesnt show as downloaded, so i will go to download it, and it says "you already have this installed"... well okay, then i go to find it, and it doesnt exist anywhere on my computer and tells me to download it again, and annoying triangle i keep going in.

  • Annoyed with End License Agreement

I keep getting te same message (I have a MAC) that I have to agree to the End User License - but I am never directed to any license

I've searched and searched and have been unable to find a way to manually open the EULA on a Mac. Most times, (not all but most) when this occurs, it's because the end user has installed a new version and opened a PDF in a browser window BEFORE opening the Reader App itself (outside of a browse)r. Usually (again not all the time) opening Reader outside the browser will also open the EULA to accept and then the message goes away.
If not, a "Full uninstall" and reinstall may be necessary:
Download the offline installer here: http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/get/flashplayer/current/licensing/mac/install_flash_playe r_11_osx.dmg
Download AppZapper (It's a free trial)
    Quit your browser
    Install and open AppZapper
Drag the Reader App to the AppZapper window
"Zap" all files to the trash
    Close AppZapper
    Go to Mac Hd/Library/Internet Plugins
Trash the AdobePDFViewer.plugin  and  AdobePDFViewerNPAPI.plugin files
    Go to Mac HD/Library/Application Support/Adobe
Trash the Reader folder from there
    Empty the Trash
Mount the DMG and reinstall Reader 11
    Reboot just for good measure
Launch your browser and open a PDF from a webpage

  • Email address to send the Reader Integration Key License Agreement form

    Hello,
sorry to post here but I filled the application form in order to start the process to obtain the key to integrate our plug-in into Acrobat Reader.
I sent the form to [email protected] but I received an error message : no such user.
Could you give me a valid email address ?
Thanks in advance for your help.

It is very unlikely that anyone in this forum will have the right
information. This is a user to user forum. I recommend that you e-mail
an ASN contact. You _could_ try the Acrobat SDK forum, occasionally an
    Adobe developer is found there.

  • Dreaded License Agreement question

I know this has probably been asked millions of times, all over the place but I just want to make 100% sure.
I downloaded Eclipse v3.3.2 which has the Crystal Reports for Eclipse version 1.0.6.v1371 plug-in.
I wish to find out about the license agreement and licence purchasing conditions.
The company I work for supplies its clients with a Property Management Software, designed by
ourselves. We now want to develop a few simple reports using Eclipse and CR4E, specific to each
client. These will be accessible via the web. Does this fall under the u201Cfreely distributed productu201D that I
keep finding on both Eclipse.org and on the SAP websites.
I have registered my Crystal Reports for Eclipse and removed the watermark, is this enough to be able
to supply our clients with reports? Do they just need to register the same way to be able to use the
    webapps developed by my company.
The u201CCrystal Report Web Projectsu201D will be held on a single server on the client site running Tomcat.
Under what conditions can these reports remain u201Cfreely distributed productsu201D and under what conditions
will a license need to be purchased. If a license is needed would my company have to purchase the
license, seeing as we are the ones developing the reports, or would our clients have to purchase the
    license for themselves?
Our clients will use the reports internally and will also use our webapp to produce invoices which will
then be posted or emailed to their clients.
I have read the BO License Agreement https://boc.sdn.sap.com/node/449, well atleast have tried to
understand it fully, point 3.6 says it can be installed on a single server which we will be doing, and then
point 4.9 says 1) its free 2) you have to pay if you want to remove the watermark, but then
https://boc.sdn.sap.com/node/431 says you just need to register to remove the watermark.
Does this breach the "free" conditions.
I have emailed BO/SAP directly but do not know how fast they are to reply as I have heard stories.
So if anyone could give me a definite answer that would be great.
Supplying some "understandable" official evidence would also help very much.
Eclipse and CR4E are such great products I would hate to miss out on using them.
    Regards
    Darren

  • Windows XP Embedded and license agreement

    Hi all,
We are planning on installing the Adobe Flash Player 10.1 on one of our product. It is a ruggedized PC designed for the field operator. To train our operators, we have a dedicated set of Flash tutorials that they can load up in the field to help them out whenever they want. While it is a PC where people can install additional products, we are using Windows XP Embedded as the operating system.
As we are installing the Flash Player in a product, we read the distributor license agreement to see if we we're permitted to do so. You can read this license agreement at the bottom of this page:
    https://www.adobe.com/cfusion/mmform/index.cfm?name=distribution_form&pv=fp#EXHIBIT_A
We've only hit one issue that is restricting us from installing the Flash Player. Under point 2 - Definitions, it says:
For the avoidance of doubt, “Authorized Operating Systems” does not include embedded or device versions of such operating systems.
As you can see, the license agreement says that we cannot install the Flash Player on an embedded version of an operating system. As WIndows XP Embedded is the embedded version of XP, we feel that we do not respect the license agreement.
On the other hand, our device is a PC, not an embedded device like a smartphone or a personal video recorder for example. All the embedded devices listed in the license agreement (again, see point 2) do not include our device.
We were looking for some clarifications from Adobe on this matter. Calling tech support took me across the world from India to the U.S without even a piece of the answer. I was wondering if this forum would help us out at figuring out if we can distribute the Flash Player on Windows XP Embedded.
    Thank you,
    Louis-Philippe Carignan

    Dear Randy
forget the things the other ppl said.
I have done XP Embedded systems since some years now and they have to work 24h a day and 365 day a year.
If you have a good running system you can depend on it and LV will run propperly too.
Make sure your EWF manager works fine.
Most of the problems come from bad hardware.
I suggest to try prime95 on your XP Embedded system at least for 24 hours.
If it doesn't crash that your system ist stable.
The problem you have described may come from a bad RAM device. I have seen failures like this several times.
Another problem might be a memory leakage in your software.
Try to user the LabVIEW Desktop Execution Trace toolkit to find memory leakage.
If you use queues you have to check the usage of optain queue.
This may case a slow down of your programm because os a reference leak of this function.
You will see this using the LabVIEW Desktop Execution Trace toolkit too.
Mostly the problem is caused by bad hardware, high temperatur or a failure between the ears of the programmer.
Hope this may help you a little bit.
    Yours with kind regards

  • Open Sourcing an iPhone Application acceptable under the License Agreement?

I've read through the licensing agreement, but I'm still not convinced either way. I want to make my iPhone application's source code available on the internet and set up a project page and SVN repository on a site such as Google Code. I wouldn't be distributing my signing keys and would be the single source for submitting the app to iTunes. Is this allowed under the License Agreement?

(Disclaimer: IANAL, I'm just a smart guy who's worked on GPL projects.)
That isn't the relevant part of the iPhone license agreement. The GPLv2 (which is probably the most important open source license for this question, as it's both very popular and has restrictions on mixing with proprietary code) does not encompass headers and libraries that are part of the operating system. That's how people can write open source Windows and Mac applications--believe me, Microsoft would not be pleased if someone contacted them and said that since Gaim was open source, they had to release the source code to the Win32 API. So the GPLv2 would not attempt to "annex" anything provided by Apple, and thus it wouldn't violate that section.
What may be relevant is the iPhone license section concerning confidentiality. If the class, method, function and constant names are considered "Apple Confidential Information", you would be in violation of the contract if you distributed code that revealed them. I rather suspect that nothing in the Foundation or Core Foundation frameworks could be considered confidential, as information about them is freely available to anyone who has the Mac OS X Core Library, which is distributed with every copy of Leopard. UIKit, Core Location, etc. are another story; I personally think that the fact that the APIs are included in the free SDK ought to preclude considering them confidential, but Apple might think differently.
In other words: you're definitely safe using LGPLv2 libraries. If the code would also compile with the Mac OS X SDK, you're almost certainly safe releasing it under the GPLv2*. If the code uses UIKit or other frameworks documented in the free SDK, you may be safe releasing it under the GPLv2. If you release any code that uses APIs that only licensed developers have access to under the GPLv2, you're probably totally screwed.
The GPLv3 is much stricter, and so the story there might be different; for example, I think it may have key-releasing requirements that would conflict with the contract. I don't really know much about it, though.
\* Remember, the original copyright holder can create alternate licensing arrangements for specific people. So he can say "anyone can use this code under the GPL, and as a special exception, it can be linked against FooCorp's non-GPL software". But to use anyone else's GPL code, you'd have to get all of the authors of that code to agree to the same exception. Alternately, you can just release your own code under the LGPL instead and then it's all good.

  • How do I access the End User Licensing Agreement? I clicked on it and it gives me a message that I need to launch Adobe Reader, accept and close and reopen. Trouble is I can't get to an icon for file to launch. I am working on a Mac and have installed Mac

I am using a Mac and have installed Adobe Reader for Mac, latest version. I cannot access the End User Licensing Agreement. I clicked on it and it gives me a message that I must launch Adobe, check that I agree, close and reopen. The problem is I can't find any way to launch Adobe because it appears nowhere on my launch pad, nor in my document files or on the control panel. Because of this, I cannot print bank statements nor can I get into my insurance companies billing department to make a payment. HELP!

How about in your Applications folder?

I am getting this response when I am trying to open a file: Before viewing PDF documents in this browser you must launch Adobe Reader and accept the End User License Agreement, then Quit and relaunch the browser.”  What do I do?  I have opened this up in the past without a problem.

    Back up all data.
If Adobe Reader or Acrobat is installed, there should be a setting in its preferences such as Display PDF in Browser. I don't use those applications myself, so I can't be more precise. Deselect that setting, if it's selected. Otherwise do as follows.
Triple-click anywhere in the line of text below on this page to select it, the copy the selected text to the Clipboard (command-C):
    /Library/Internet Plug-ins
    In the Finder, select
    Go ▹ Go to Folder
from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-G. Paste into the text box that opens (command-V), then press return.
From the folder that opens, remove any items that have "Adobe" or “PDF” in the name. You may be prompted for your login password. Then quit and relaunch Safari, and test.
The "Silverlight" web plugin distributed by Microsoft can also interfere with PDF display in Safari, so you may need to remove it as well, if it's present. The same goes for a plugin called "iGetter," and perhaps others.
If you still have the issue, repeat with this line:
    ~/Library/Internet Plug-ins
If you don’t like the results of this procedure, restore the items from the backup you made before you started. Relaunch Safari again.

    Hi,
Go to 'Spotlight' at the top right corner of the Mac > Type Reader> Launch the 'Adobe Reader' application and then click on 'Accept' on the End User License Agreement.

Nothing to do with the download; you need to open Adobe Reader once after the install is complete, and accept the EULA.

  • Before viewing PDF documents in this browser you must first launch Adobe Reader and accept the End User License Agreement, then Quit and relaunch the browser.

Using Google Chrome, when attempting to open a PDF document, the following message appears:
Before viewing PDF documents in this browser you must first launch Adobe Reader and accept the End User License Agreement, then Quit and relaunch the browser.
On my Mac, there is no way to just open Adobe Reader and accept the ELUA.

    Hi Tbeirne,
If you just want to save a pdf opened in Safari to your machine use the save as option from within the Reader plugin window. Just click on any of the buttons highlighted in below screenshots to Save a pdf at any location on your machine.
    or
To summarize the issue, if you had opened an Internet PDF in a browser plug-in, you must use the save feature in the plug-in, not the Safari File > PDF Export, or File > Save As...
Please let us know if this solution works for you and you are able to save and view PDFs files locally.
