my hp probook 4530s came with a reader that helps me read my pdf files but now is no more on it,can you help me install it back?

When this situation occurs, the Reader™ Digital Book will not appear in the software or the software may shut down when connecting the Reader Digital Book to the computer. Follow these steps to resolve this problem:
NOTE: Because each of these steps represents a possible solution to this problem, open the Reader software and connect the Reader Digital Book to the computer after completing each step.
Make sure you that you are using the Reader for PC or Reader for Mac software.
NOTE: These models are not compatible with the Reader Library software.
When you connect your Reader Digital Book to the computer, depending on your model, do the following:
PRS-T1: In the USB connected screen, make sure you tap the Data Transfer Mode icon so that your Reader goes into Data Transfer Mode.
PRS-T2: In the Do you want the computer to recognize this device screen, make sure you tap Yes so that your Reader is recognized correctly.
If the problem persists, close the software, re-open it, and then check the connection status again.
Verify that the Reader Digital Book battery has an adequate charge.
NOTE: If the battery is discharged, allow the battery to charge for at least one hour before attempting to connect the Reader Digital Book to the software.
Verify that the Reader Digital Book is turned on and is not locked.
Verify that the USB cable is properly and securely connected to the Reader Digital Book and the computer.
NOTE: The USB cable should be connected directly to the computer. Connecting the Reader Digital Book using a USB hub or extension cable is not supported.
Verify that the Reader Digital Book displays the USB connection indicator in the upper-right corner of the screen.
Remove any Memory Stick® media or SD media in the Reader Digital Book.
Disconnect any other USB Device except for your Keyboard, Mouse or Wireless USB transmitter.
With the Reader Digital Book connected to the computer, uninstall the USB driver.
After you uninstall the driver, disconnect and then reconnect the Reader Digital Book back to the computer, allow a few moments for the driver to reinstall and then check the status.
If the problem still happens, turn off your Reader digital book and do a Hard Reset.
IMPORTANT: After doing a Hard Reset, it will be necessary to authorize your unit again.
If possible, install the Reader software on a different computer and connect the Reader Digital Book to test.
The troubleshooting steps listed above should resolve your issue. If you have completed all of the steps and the issue is not resolved, service may be required.

Unable to read software component version from System Landscape Directory "

I've worked in past creating/importing SWCV, but this is new system PI7.0 and stuck.
A) Is my understanding on resolution correct?
Should I go and apply notes 940309 and create client copy of existing client 001
                                    OR
change role of client 001; SXMB_ADMIN -> 'Integration Engine Configuration' to 'Integration Server'
I have no problem in using client 001 as Integration server, all I want is import of SWCV to work. Thanks. Appreciate the help.
B) Here is what I have done and the error:
1) Followed weblog below and created product, software component, technical system, business sytem in SLD.

2) When I import the SWC from integration repository getting error
(Unable to read software component version from System Landscape Directory "server:5<system number>00").
C) Pointers used from the forum to debug the issue, but still no luck
Below are the points checked from the forum and all steps are correct, but still have issues with the import
1) check the RFCs SAPSLDAPI, LCRSAPRFC, connection test pass as the program ID registered with Jco
2) T-code SLDCHECK no errors (followed http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/de/78/20244134a56532e10000000a1550b0/content.htm)
3) T-code SLDAPICUST got user PIAPPLUSER, pwd is correct (reset the pwd)
4) logged using PIAPPLUSER http://server:port/sld and it works
5) One of the weblog SLD Check Failed (LCR_LIST_BUSINESS_SYSTEMS function doesn't work) referred to apply notes 940309

applied portion (PIPostInstallProcess) of OSS notes 940309 and it resolved.
Note:
I still retained client 001 and didn't do client copy as mentioned in the notes. The wizard based CTC tool helped. Here are the details if someone has similar issue and want to know further details:
A NetWeaver Process Integration (PI) Installation (ABAP+Java) has two parts: Installation and configuration. The former is done by the Installer, the latter by the 'Central Template Configuration' (CTC) Tool.

Unable to read software component versions from System Landscape

Dear all,
I have an ECC system with ABAP and Java installed.
I already configured so that SLDCheck, RFC destination configuration run successfully.
PIAPPLUSER is not locked and can logon.
However, when I import software component version in Integration Builder, the system return error message "Unable to read software component versions from System Landscape Directory "Server:50000".
Please tell me how to correct this error.

After downloading latest Reader software (11) on my Mac (OS10.7.5) I cannot print pdf files on either of my two printers. How do I uninstall and reinstall the software? Adobe's instructions are only for Window devices.

You can just drag the file to the trash. If you want you can remove the pdf plug-in from the internet-plug in folder, but that should not be necessary to correct your problem.

Ipod will not restore, corrupted, says it's cannot read software

My Ipod has been great, I plugged it in to charge the battery, now it says it is corrupted, needs to be restored, but I cannot restore it, will not read software. Hope someone can help. Thank you!

I just tried to restore it again, and it says an unexpected error has occurred. Don't know what to do from here.

Reader Software Sync Issue

Sony has received reports from a number of PRST1 owners that the Reader software has been causing bookmarks and notes to be duplicated with some of their books. Sony engineering is aware of the issue and is currently working on a solution which will be in the next release of the software.

When I open .PDF files, an error message says that Adobe Reader is out-of-date. If I try to download the latest Reader or Reader DC, installer says that I already have the up-to-date Reader software or a more advanced product.

I can confirm that Chrome is showing the latest version of Adobe Acrobat Reader DC as out of date. We're working with them to get that indication corrected, but going forward, the Adobe Reader plugin will not be supported in Chrome. The Chromium team has decided to remove support for NPAPI plugins like Adobe Reader. On Windows, it is still possible to change the Chrome default PDF viewing behavior by configuring plugins (chrome://plugins). When doing that Adobe Acrobat Reader DC is showing as an out of date version. Enabling that configuration in current versions of Chrome will allow PDF files to open in the Adobe plugin, but that is not a supported configuration.
On Mac, that configuration is not supported. When doing that a message is shown that the EULA needs to be accepted before viewing, even if that is no longer required.
To view PDF files in Adobe Acrobat Reader DC, we recommend that you download the file in Chrome and open it from your desktop.

Is it legal to burn the adobe reader software if so how do i?

My grandfather has a computer but no internet access. He uses his computer solely for geneology, word processing, and organizational purposes. I recently found some historic public domain documents that i know that he would be very interested in; however, they are in pdf form and for him to view the documents he would have to have a pdf reader and as i said earlier he can't simply download the software. If anyone has any advice both my grandfather and myself would greatly appreciate. I only want to download and burn the reader software and possibly an older version because i am not sure his system can handle the specified requirements for 9.0.

What OS is he running?
You can get Reader 7 at ftp://ftp.adobe.com/pub/adobe/reader/win/7x/7.1.0/enu/AdbeRdr710_en_US.exe but if we know the OS, we can suggest the best version to run.
Oh and yes, for what you are using it for, it's legal.

Reader Software Distribution Upgrade

I have an Adobe Reader Software License Distribution Agreement for Reader 9.0. Does anyone know if there is a distribuatble for 9.1 and if so, how to upgrade to or download that version? When I click on the link in my Distibution Agreement Notification e-mail I just get 9.0.

Need help using adobe digital reader with screen reader software

I am helping my father, who is blind, and uses Window-eyes screen Reader software, which reads his computer screen to him in an audio voice. We just bought an ebook, downloaded adobe digital reader, but his window-eyes software will not read the book to him when we have it displayed on his computer screen. Is there a solution to this?

Sony Reader Software Issues

Hi Everyone,
I noticed that the Reader Library software is kinda similar to a music software library that I use (I'm sure you know which one I'm talking about). However, the Reader Software has some issues like the following:
1. I can't sort the my collections in the order that I want.
2. If I download a book from a website other than the reader library, I am unable to alter the author name or title so that the stories are organized correctly.
3. There is no option for me to sync my collections with the ereader automatically. So if I add an ebook to a collection, I have to manually add it to the Reader.
If you may know how to do any of the above with the software as it is now, please let me know as everything I have done has not worked.

1. sorting, there are collections, you use the little + at the bottom of the read to create new collections
2. you can download files from another website then import them (file -> import), though i do not know how you can fix the author name
3. if you look @ the reader library program, you have you library, then status, then your device, if you look @ the "sync" in your device, you can setup auto sync w/ folders on your PC
(all this is based on looking at the reader for a few hrs, so i hope i did not steer you in the wrong direction)

Re-installing reader software

I have a PRS650.
I have just replaced my old computer and want to install the softwre for the reader on it. I also want to de-authorise the old one. The old one has a dead HDD, so no hope of doing it from there.
I install, but as soon as I try to load a downloaded library book, it asks for my Adobe ID and password. I enter my perfectly valid Adobe ID - I can log onto the Adobe web site using it - but the Reader Library software simply sends me off to a "help" page on the Sony site which isn't at all helpful.
The original reader was installed before Adobe ID was fully integrated, and I vaguely recall there was a separate DRM Authorisation proccess, but cannot remember what userID/ password I may have used. I have tried all my regular ones to no avail.
Any ideas?
And No I have never used the Sony Reader eStore. I am pretty sure it did not exist back then

It’s impossible de-authorize a “dead” PC or other device by yourself. It’s only Adobe that can do it. You have to get in contact with Adobe, in order to reset the number (or devices ??? I’m not sure about devices!!!) of your authorizations. http://www.adobe.com/company/contact.html?promoid=JOPDO

Reader Software Sync Error

I have a reoccurring problem when syncing a reader to my library. The synch stalls at a certain book, and if I delete that book it just moves to the next one and stalls again. I had this problem first on a PRS-700 and a laptop running XP and now with a PRS-650 and a laptop running Windows 7 64-bit. I have de-installed and re-installed the latest 3.3.00.07130 program.
What am I doing wrong?

Here we are again.
Reader: PRS-600
Software: Reader Library 3.3.00.07130 on Windows XP SP3
Library: ePub (DRM, non-DRM), PDF
Long and short of it: Reader Library gets stuck syncing about halfway through. Initially the sync hung on a non-protected PDF (a magazine download). I deleted the PDF and sure enough the sync started failing on another book (non-DRM ePub). I tested all the usual suspects - Sony-provided USB cable, checked all 300 documents in the library and not one of them would not open in the software, nothing on a UNC path or removable drive. I have soft-reset the Reader, rebooted the computer, deleted all BBeB books from the library, but no luck. I have been waiting for nearly four hours in queue for a Sony chat support rep through chatsupport.sony.com, but clearly there is nobody available or willing to take the case. Using Calibre is not an option as I have about 50-60 books downloaded from Sony's store.
So...what can we do from here?
