Reader version 9.4.4 update keeps coming up

I have Mac OSX 10.6.7 and Adobe Reader version 10.0.3 but I keep getting an update reminder for 9.4.4. I have updated this and I alays cancel but everytime there is an Adobe update this one also appears. What do I do?

Possibly that is the case re a previous version as in reader 9 but I unfortunately cannot recall what I have done as this has updater issue for 9.4.4 has been happening for quite awhile. Trash has been deleted ages ago. Is it still on my hard drive?

I have a rather strange problem.
I had updated my iPhoto on dec 14, to the latest version 9.5.1, AND the same update keeps coming up and asking me to install it again!
I am not quite sure how to get rid of the annoying update and what to do?

If iPhoto is working and you want to stop those annoying update notifications, go to
System Preferences > App Store
Untick Automatically check for updates. But be sure to occasionally look in App Store, or you might miss out on an important security update to your OS X.

"Device can not be read from or written to" error keeps coming up...

I have recently updated to the 3.1 firmware on my iPhone 3G (after a couple failed attempts).
The problems seemed to start there when the update froze midway through and I had to try a couple more times. After I did and restored my settings, iTunes said that my backup file didn't work. I tried a couple more times to restore from the backup but ended up having to restore as a new device.
Now, as I try to sync all of my, well, everything, I keep getting an error message.
It synced all of my contacts, apps, calendar, etc., but when it gets to my music and videos it will sync a bit of it before giving me the error messages:
"Cannot sync ___, the required disk is not found"
and immediately after,
"Device can not be read from or written to."
I've tried syncing my iPhone many times, and these errors keep coming up.
What should I do?

Make sure the iPhone is directly connected to a high-speed USB2 port on the PC, using the cable that came with it.

CC 2014 updates keep coming

I have update all my installed apps to CC 2014. The splash screens of these programs confirm the correct version. Nonetheless the CC App in my menu bar keeps suggesting that I should update all my apps to CC 2014. What is going on?

Same Firmware Update keeps coming to me

I just bought a blue tooth keyboard at the apple store; Apple update has told me 5 times to install the same firmware update.
I installed it the first timem.
Has anyone else had this problem?

I have the same problem, the window keeps popping up that I should install the firmware update, however when I start the update it says: "firmware up to date".
This problem only occurs on our iMac 20" running Leopard. On my MacBook running Tiger there is no problem.
I actually tried switching the keyboard, but keep getting the same error. Conclusion: the keyboard firmware is up to date, but somehow Leopard is not 'knowing' or 'remembering' this.

How can I change from using Adobe in fire fox to using only adobe app. I have checked in tools to use adobe reader but adobe in fire fox keeps coming up.

I know I was able to do this before. Under tools - options - applications - PDF files are listed to use Adobe reader but everytime I open a PDF it comes up using adobe in Firefox. I do not that. Want to be able to open the PDF right there.

My instruction should be:
Tools / Add-ons / Plug-in
and you should see Foxit Reader Plugin there. Click on the line and you'll see a "disable" option there.

Pro Applications Update keeps coming

After a clean install of Mavericks I reinstalled FCPX and (as I lerant from these Support Communities) also reinstalled DVD Studio Pro and Soundtrack Pro from the original FCP3 discs. As expected the FCPX Supplemental Content appeared in App Store Updates section, as did the Pro Applications Update 2010-02.
Strangely however, the latter reappears as if the installation hadn't any effect, allthough some things like the Apple QMaster is installed indeed. Is perhaps the installation not noted somewhere in the system?
Does someone knows how to prevent this recurring appearance of that Update?

Even though you've downloaded it did it actually get installed? Check your Applications->Utilities folder and see if the firmware is in there. You'll need to be running on A/C to run the firmware update. Software update will download the update but it needs to be run manually to actually install it.

TS1389 It keeps coming up with an Error message when I try to Authorize it.

First it wouldn't read the iPod. Now it keeps coming up with the -42408 error message when ever I try to authorize it. What is going on?

Please do a forum search. I and others have repeatedly answered this question a whole bunch of times recently.
Bottom line: the Adobe auto updater is utterly useless in CS5 and prior versions. You need to download the updates and apply them manually yourself.
I and others have even supplied the links for Mac and Win, which you haven't even bothered to specify.

Deleted emails in Mail keep coming back since 10.10.3 update

Mac Mail won't let me delete email or move email to other mailboxes since updating to 10.10.3. I delete messages or move them to other folders/mailboxes, and they keep coming back to my Inbox. Some messages come back almost instantly. Some come back after a few minutes. Other messages have come back that I deleted earlier in the day. There don't appear to be duplicates, since the messages I deleted aren't in the trash or in the folder/mailbox to which I moved them. Some messages have stayed in the trash, but when I try to permanently delete them, they reappear. The only way I've been able to permanently delete messages is by going online and deleting them in Gmail. I have used Gmail in combination with Mail for years without problems, and I had been using an earlier version of Yosemite without problems. My mail account is a Gmail account set up as IMAP. I have folders/mailboxes that are in Gmail and I have folders/mailboxes that are on my computer, but the messages I move won't stay in either type of mailbox. I tried rebuilding the mail envelop with Onyx which has helped with Mail quirks in the past, but this time it did nothing to solve the problem.

I have an android phone. If I read a message on my phone, it still shows up on my desktop.
One of the problems with deleting messages is that I when I delete messages from the main Inbox (the Inbox that includes all incoming messages from all accounts), some of those messages stay in the Inbox for the individual account as unread. A typical scenario is that after reading all of my new email and deleting messages, I notice that Mail shows that I still have unread mail. So I go to the Inbox for an individual email account, and there are a bunch messages that I deleted (sometimes half, sometimes all of what I deleted) that are in the Inbox of the individual account and show as unread. Then when I go back to the main Inbox, and all of the messages that I deleted are suddenly back in the that Inbox. There doesn't seem to be any pattern to which messages get stuck. Sometimes the messages go away on their own. Sometimes they won't ever go away. I delete them from the main Inbox; they come back. I delete them from the individual account Inbox; they come back. I go to the Trash, delete them before they've gone back the the Inboxes, and they come back. The only way I can get rid of these zombie messages is to access the account through a browser and delete those messages online.
Another problem I have, is that Mail is constantly asking me to re-enter the password for one of my email accounts. Fortunately, it's an account I use less frequently, but it's a real problem when I Mail asks me to re-setup up an account every time I open Mail.
The problem has doubled or tripled the time it takes for me to keep track of my email. I'm going through reviews and looking for a replacement for Mail. I will be the first time I've used something besides Mail since I used Eudora (during the time when it was the best program available and you had to buy it).
