Reader X for iPad or similar - to Fill In Forms?

Is there Reader X for iPad or something similar? I need to fill in pre formatted PDF forms and save changes using a convenient device. I can do this on my Windows based PC (but that is not portable). I have already created the forms and now they may be useless if they cannot be used for typing in/on other environments. I don't think this basic function is a difficult request of mine if another platform already has the facility ... Can anyone provide the solution???

Are you in the US? Not all apps are available in all countries. There is no way to download anything from a website, like Kindle. If it's not in your App Store, you won't be able to have it.

The answer is always the same – Failure converting to PDF or Failure exporting to doc …. or error saving document.
I have re-installed reader quite a few times, I have reset my password on my account – with success – but this has not changed anything.
Help please – I have asubscription and a programme which I do use.
What must I do to get this use back.
Any chance on using the old version of Adobe Reader?

1. How big (size) are the files that you are trying to convert? KBs, MBs?
2. Have you tried signing out of the account and signing in again?
3. Are you getting this error for all files you are trying to convert or only for some files?

Having Reader be able to save a completed fill able form.

Is there any way to allow someone with Reader to have the ability to save the information added in on a fill able PDF form? I have tried several different things and it always says it can only save a blank document.
What about having the email submit button automatically email the person who is filling the information in? As in the email will vary based on which desktop it is being filled on.

Trust me, Acrobat Pro will allow you to both save the filled out PDF AND save the XML, separately. Reader WILL NOT allow you to do this, but if you have an email button. The point of reader extensions is to allow people without Acrobat to be able to save a filled out form, thus why reader is free. Reader extensions works on a form by form basis, so it can be portable. Acrobat Pro, which ISNT free, allows you to do all of this, which is why it isnt free. The point is that Adobe doesnt want anyone to have any save capability without having to pay for it first. If you have a form with an email submit button, you can open it in reader, click it, and email the xml with the values in it.

Currently, Adobe Reader for iOS does not offer the "Save As" option. But you can duplicate a PDF form before you fill it out.
To duplicate a local file (that is stored on your iPad/iPhone)
Go to the Reader home screen.
Tap Document.
Tap Edit in the upper right corner.
Select the file that you want to duplicate.
Tap the following icon in the bottom bar.
Select Duplicate.
To rename a file
Go to the Reader home screen.
Tap Document.
Tap Edit in the upper right corner.
Select the file that you want to rename.
Tap the following icon in the bottom bar.
Enter a new name.

Adobe reader glitch for iPad

Unfortunately, I don't understand what you mean when you say "hold shown on the screen". Can you please elaborate?

Read/Write Adobe Reader Capability for iPad

In my work, I need to be able to write, (make changes) to a PDF file. I use Adobe Reader for this. Does the iPad support use of a read/write version of Adobe Reader? Thank you.

The capability you are referring to is a function of Adobe Acrobat, not Adobe Reader. On a laptop/desktop Acrobat to convert any file in any native application on that machine (Web, Word, Excel, etc.) into PDF format by "printing" to the Adobe PDF "printer".
There is no such on the iPad. Previously created PDF documents may be transferred from your laptop to the iPad and viewed on it, and you can also annotate that transferred PDF document (using an app called iAnnotate), but in general you cannot CREATE a PDF document the way you did on your laptop. The only exceptions I can think of are the Apple apps (Pages, Numbers, and Keynote) which allow you to export their files in PDF format. But, as an example, if you want to view a web page and "print" it to a PDF file, no can do.

I wonder for the free Adobe Reader apps that I can found in Apps Store. Do its function are the same as those normal Adobe Reader, which is designed for using on PC / laptop? Any function in the free Adobe Reader apps will be missing due to the design? I wanna to know for the most important function in Adobe Reader for myself, the highlight pen function. Sometimes the GC's are mailed out. You don't always get them right in the store IIRC.

It IS a good functionality to have. Unfortunately, Reader IS NOT an editor and doesn't have it. Only Acrobat Professional can add bookmarks to a PDF.

I have OS 10.9.2 and have downloaded latest version of Reader 11. I can no longer fill in form or scroll using the side bar.

How do I get it to work? I am thinking of going back to an earlier version.

Well, I have tried filling up the same IRS Form 1040 on my Mac machine with Reader 11.0.07 installed and faced no such issue. I even downloaded the PDF to my machine and I was still able to fill-up the form.
How are downloading the PDF file? Hope you are using the Save as option from with in Reader plugin and not the Safari Saved as option. The detailed instructions for doing so are as follows:
Just click on any of the buttons highlighted in below screenshots to Save a pdf at any location on your machine.

To summarize the issue, if you had opened an Internet PDF in a browser plug-in, you must use the save feature in the plug-in, not the Safari File > PDF Export, or File > Save As...

Acrobat Reader for Ipad

I downloaded the acrobat reader app for iphone/ipad and tried to open a form from a website and was given the message that I needed a later version of the pdf viewer and given the following link, www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html . This does nothing, anyone else have this problem or a solution. When I say it does nothing I mean it just takes me back to the app store which say that it is installed and the latest version.

Bernd is correct, the Adobe Reader for ios does not support filling XFA forms (forms created by Livecycle Designer). If you create the form using the form eding features in Acrobat (or another tool that creates non-xfa acroforms), then you should be able to fill it in the mobile reader.
