Reader X not found after successful install

I have attempted to install Reader X, I simply run the default install package.
During the install I get this error:
Error 1327.Invalid Drive: Q:\
There is no Q drive on my system.
I hit Ok and I get Installation Complete and I'm directed to the Installation successful webpage.
However I can't find Reader X anywhere on my system. PDFs are instead still opened by PDF-XChange PDF Viewer (which I wanto get rid of but can't until I have another working PDF reader.)
I'm running Windows 7 Home Premium 32 bit.
Any thoughts?

You may want to try the following:
Run this fix from Microsoft: http://support.microsoft.com/mats/Program_Install_and_Uninstall
Uninstall Reader using Add/Remove Programs
If you want to reinstall Reader, download it from http://get.adobe.com/reader/direct/

[SOLVED]: gnutls not found after LXDE install attempt

After issuing the following command as root:
# pacman -S lxde
many console messages ensue, among them:
error: failed retrieving file 'gnutls-2.8.6-1-i686.pkg.tar.xz' from mirror.rit.edu : Not Found
This message is repeated for each of the other five mirrors in my list.
All the other packages seem to have been retrieved all right.
At the end of the process, the following messages appear:
warning: failed to retrieve some files from extra
error: failed to commit transaction (Not Found)
Errors occurred, no packages were upgraded.
I tried
# pacman -S gnutls
and got the same results as above, with the same version number in the error message, and the same three messages at the end.
I searched for gnutls in the package database, and found gnutls to be at version 2.10.4-1 .
I have searched the Arch wiki, forums, and beginner's guide for this issue, with no success, and have tried Googling the Web with various combinations of the words arch, lxde, gnutls, and "not found", also with no success.
This is my first attempt at installing Arch, but not my first experience with Linux. All has gone well up until now; the Arch CLI environment has been functioning well.

Sqlplus not found after db install on linux

Hi gurus,
i have installed oracle db 10gr2 on linux redhat 5, installation was successfull but when i run sqlplus /nolog at the terminal i get -bash: sqlplus: command not found.

Why is my external USB audio card not found after Lion install

Above says it all. Since installing Lion my external USB audio card is not recognized. This is a very plain vanilla card. I worked fine with Snow Leopard. No additional drivers required. But with Lion, nada. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It just happened to me. Exactly as Ritcho described. After install fine, after restart, gone. FYI for anyone with the same issue as I had. I was using a Diamond USB dongle to connect my external monitor to the iMac, it was legacy from when I was running a couple of external monitors from my MacBook Pro using them. I took the dongle out of the chain and replaced with a standard Apple DVI to Mini DVI adapter and plugged it into the mini dvi port in the iMac and I was golden. Now to sell the Diamond dongles.

NIC not found after first install

I have just installed SOL10, I have a 3com C905c-tx - however despite the device showing in the hardware scan post install, it does not appear to be working ( it was just fine with Fedora which I remvoed for the Solaris install) - as I am a newbie to Solaris (fair bit of Linux experience and others) I am a bit stumped at the processes to configure post install.... can anyone steer me on this? The elxl driver should work fine with that particular network card. I assume that you have a broadband connection since you are using that card. Did you choose " dhcp " during the initial installation ?
Did you click on " networked " when given the choice of " non-networked " or " networked " during the initial installation ?
These options were presented during the early installation phase of the OS. If the card was properly installed and connected to your network at the time of installation, you should have experienced a trouble-free network setup that would be operational after the installation was completed. ........ AdobeAIR - Not found after being installed

I installed AdobeAIR and can not find it in programs. When I click on the AdobeAIR installer icon on my desktop - it says it's already installed. Please help! I really need this program to open. What do I need to do? (I'm using a Windows 7 operating system)

The exact same thing has been happening to me. I've actually been looking
all over the place for someone with a similiar problem. I have a brand new
gateway laptop with windows vista ultimate and everything works fine except
for when i load itunes. The actual program (the latest release, ver 7.1)
works fine and my optical drive is there initially, but when i restart my
computer the optical drive is missing from "my computer" and there is a
yellow exclamation point in the device manager telling me that windows could
not start the device. Once i uninstall itunes it comes back and works fine
again. So obviously this is a problem with itunes...and a very annoying one
at that because i have an ipod and i want to load my songs and use itunes on
my new computer, but for now it appears i'm going to still have to use my old
laptop for that, which really bites. If anyone knows anything else about this
or how to fix it i'd really appreciate being informed.

Airport Extreme not found after Leopard install

I have internet, I can access my External drive connected to my Airport Extreme but when I run the Airport Utility, it can't "find" my Airport Extreme. The utility can only find my Express so I unplugged it and now it can't find anything. It's weird because everything works. I want to access the base station to make changes to ports. Can you help?

I used my Tiger-equipped iBook G4 and checked the Airport Utility from there. Sure enough, there was an available update. After I updated, everything worked just fine. Except, for some reason, I can get my Airport Drive to load on Leopard's desktop. I can live with that.

HT1926 My itunes won't open because it says "This application has failed to start because MSVCR80.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem" Can someone help? I don't want to delete it altogether due to needing the phone backup

I was given notification to upload the latest version of itunes recently, so I clicked installed. However it has since corrupted my itunes and I get the error message:
"This application has failed to start because MSVCR80.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem".
In poor timing, I have also accidently damaged my phone and have a new one to restore it to an old back up.
It is because of this I am reluctant to completely delete itunes off my computer and start again for fear of losing my back ups.
Is there another way to fix iTunes so I can open it again?

Hey I finally got an older vesion of itunes to work!!! 10.7 x64 for windows 7
After uninstalling all apple products even quicktime
I had to delete everything from (program files, and program files x64, program data,)
And all downloads from apple, and I went in to search deleted other stuff from apple, and itunes
But definently not my itunes library and Playlist
Down loaded 10.7 x64 for windows 7, but checked (do not start when done)
Then I emptied my recycling bin and restarted my PC
I ran geek tech tool box same as reg cure pro, also PC Tools registry cleaner, and CC Cleaner
Then I emptied my recycling bin and restarted my PC
And wallah... It finally works, and I Love the older version anyways.
Easier to download and transfer music!!!!!

Nowhere during the installation does it give me the option to select the previous version I purchased! This is a new install on a new computer because my other computer no longer works. There is no option for me to select CS6 PS (NON EXTENDED) on the download from Adobe! When I install it only installs the extended version and tells me my serial number is valid but not for the extended. When you provided the link to the page that has the downloads, all that loads is the extended version. Can you please give me a link to the CS6 (not extended) so I can get back to work? I also was able to get the hard drive out of my computer that no longer works and put it on my new computer I'm trying to install CS6 on and the installer gave me NO OPTIONS to enter my old serial#.

Your suggestion was a good one and what I found was that to use this and any other printer I looked at is that I need to update the operating system to a later version. I have been reluctant in the past to do this after reading update horror stories and since this computer does what I need and very well. Was glad I moved over from windows and this is the first problem I have had. Thanks for your help and any other suggestions you may have.
