Reading a yahoo group digest email no longer skips to numbered emails

Under r26.4 clicking on the numbered email headers did a skip directly to that email. Under r31 it asks to open the file with (in my case) Firefox. The same email was tested with both releases on a Win 7 machine and each has the same add-ins. Is there a new setting I can't find that controls this?

This is probably [https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=974857 bug 974857] bug 974857 - Anchor links not working when reading HTML e-mails (involving IMAP)

  • In firefox 8 I could not read my Yahoo group mails properly

THis is the second time I have gone back to FF 3.6. I had installed ff7, and now ff8, but have uninstalled and gone back to 3.6.
It is a weird problem. I am a member of many Yahoo groups and get their digests. The digests have a hyperlinked content section, where I can read all headings and only go to the ones I like. This works fine in FF3.6 - has always worked with all prior versions. I had the same problem with ff7, and now with ff8.
I had written to you about the ff7 too, but did not hear from you.
I am sorry but till this glitch is cleared , I am sticking with ff3.6.
If you want I can forward you one of my digests.

I registered so that I could help someone like me who is so frustrated with this new Firefox 12 for my iMac and all of the problems associated with trying to access my Yahoo mail. I too have NO problems with Yahoo mail using Safari.
I have found that when I can't get into my Yahoo mail for whatever reason, I close the Yahoo mail tab, I go to the Firefox pull down menu and I click on "preferences", then I click on the "Privacy" tab at the top of the new window, then I click on "Show Cookies". When the new window pops open I scroll down and click on "mail.yahoo.com" and select "Remove Cookies" I do not select "remove all cookies". Then I scroll down some more and find "yahoo.com" and select "remove cookies" and lastly I do the same for "yahoo.net". (BTW, what IS yahoo.net?)
Today I was using Firefox 12 and Yahoo mail had me accept a new privacy policy which stated,
"Before you can access Yahoo! Mail, we need your consent to our new Terms of Service and the Yahoo! Mail Privacy Policy. Learn more about how we protect your privacy."
I would click on "I Accept" numerous times but again NOTHING happened! So I closed the window and tossed my (Yahoo) cookies, opened up Yahoo mail. voila!

  • I had to revert back to 3.6 as hyperlinks were not working in yahoo group digests in version7.

I am using firefox for many years now. I upgraded to FF7 , but was having problems with my daily digests of yahoo groups.
They have a hyperlinked content section in the beginning and "back to top" after each posting. these were not working at all. I wrote to yahoo and tried various things to no avail. so now I am back to 3.6and they r working fine.
If you stop support to this I will be really sorry but would have to migrate to other browsers as there was no trouble either in IE or Chrome.

Try to repost you issue one of the iTunes forums. With any luck you'll achieve better results
    iTunes for Mac
    iTunes for Windows
    Hope that helps

  • Since I updated firefox to version 24.0 today, I can no longer read my email messages on my Yahoo or Verizon email websites.

I can get to the email websites for Yahoo and Verizon. But when I click on an email to read it, I get the error message "There appears to be a problem loading the email". This only started today when I updated to Firefox version 24.0. I'm still running Firefox version 22.0 on my work computer and I do not have any problems reading my email on my Yahoo and Verizon email websites from that computer.

Thank you! I cleared the cache and only deleted the cookies from the yahoo and verizon sites. This fixed my issue and I can read my email again now. Thank you so much Waka_Flocka_Flame and cor-el!

  • When I use Thunderbird with Yahoo Groups, Google groups, and other email lists, I don't get a copy of my own emails back from the list (I do with Mail.app)...?

When I use Thunderbird with Yahoo Groups, Google groups, and other email lists, I don't get a copy of my own emails back from the list. I *do* when I use Mail, so it seems like a Thunderbird thing. I'd really like to see my own emails come back to me in the conversation so that I know where my remarks fall in the discussion; it's very disorienting when you can't tell if your email has arrived at the list, or not. I can't seem to find the setting, and I've searched thru your help topics, etc., to no avail. Thanks.

It's both gmail and mac.com email accounts, and it's all email lists -- including some privately hosted on servers, that are not Google groups, not Yahoo groups.
I'm not sure what you mean by "saving a copy of your messages yourself" in Mail -- if I email to the lists with Mail on my laptop or iPad, I can see it on my desktop computer too, right in line with other email messages in the thread, after the list resends the message I've submitted. It's only Thunderbird that this "invisible posts" behavior happens, and it didn't use to happen this way. I used to get my emails posting right in the thread.

  • Why can i not read my yahoo email?

why can i not read my yahoo email? after downloading fire fox 8.01 i can not read my e Mail in yahoo any more and some of my buttons do not work this has been going on for about two to three weeks. i am thinking about going back to fire fox 3.6 where i had every thing working right. you change things to often without working out all of the bugs. and add 10x more bugs. Open up Font Book (located in the Applications folder) and look for Helvetica Fractions. If you find it, delete it. Restart Safari and let us know what happens.

  • I cannot read my yahoo email from my iphone

i cannot read my yahoo email from my iphone but i send mail from iphone and also see bulk mail.
    what setting shoude do?

Did you get the Yahoo login page but then it was blank after you logged in?
When you have a problem with one particular site, a good "first thing to try" is clearing your Firefox cache and deleting your saved cookies for the site.
    1. Clear Firefox's Cache
orange Firefox button ''or'' Tools menu > Options > Advanced
On the Network mini-tab > Offline Storage : "Clear Now"
    2. If needed, delete the site's cookies here
While viewing a page on the site, right-click and choose View Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
Then try reloading the page. Does that help?

  • HELP ... Not receiving email messages from particular Yahoo Group

Ever since the evening of 3/26 every member of my Yahoo Group with an email address from Comcast.net has not been able to reliably receive messages from the group. Out of over 40 emails since then, we've received 4 (2 on 4/1 and 2 this morning). There are no error messages involved, there are just no emails in our inboxes. Yahoo does not indicate that any of the messages have "bounced". The messages are not in my spam folder (in fact, the first Comcast "helper" i worked with had me turn off the spam filter in Comcast, net) Oddly, I (and the others) can receive messages from other Yahoo Groups that we are members of, just not ours: SoundOfNewEngland I was on the phone with Comcast for 2.5 HOURS on 4/3 and was basically told that since I could receive a test message from Comcast that the error must be with Yahoo!   After contacting Yahoo, I was told that since others in the group can receive the messages, that the error must be with Comcast. <sigh> The last email I got from Yahoo said that Comcast would need to add Yahoo info into the Comcast whitelist. I told this to a Comcast technician during a help chat on 4/5 ... and she told me to fill out this form: http://www.comcastsupport.com/sdcxuser/asp/comcast_blockedprovider.asp I did that even tho the issue is that the Yahoo Group's messages were being blocked and I didn't have an IP address for those, but I could provide the domain name:  yahoogroups.com I tried to put the info that Yahoo Groups gave me for the whitelist, but the description is limited to 1024 characters  Needless to say, I have not received a resonse from Comcast within 24 hours of posting the form  Here is the info from Yahoo!: "Since you have already reviewed your settings, and confirmed that the emails are not landing in your spam folder, you will need to follow up with your email provider again, since it appears that they are dropping emails from the group. Email providers generally do this because they think a message is spam, and they are particularly likely to use this approach with bulk messages coming from an email list.
If you have not done so already, you can provide them with the following link:
    http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/ygmailadmin/
There, they can find a current list of all of our outgoing email servers for white listing.
They can also contact the owner of this official Yahoo! Group, for further assistance in troubleshooting this issue, by sending an email to:
[email protected]    However, if your email provider continues to fail to deliver your Yahoo! Group messages, we strongly suggest you consider changing your email provider to another provider who will. This doesn't necessarily mean you need to change your ISP. You can also use a free Web-based email service like Yahoo! Mail or Hotmail while retaining your current ISP." If it helps, the Yahoo incident # is: 120402-011733 It's not a big group, only 86 members. All together we generate maybe 100 messages a month ... not even close to being considered spam.  Most of the members are older and not comfortable with new technology. Asking them to create new emails is not an option.  This group is our primary means of communicating with each other, so the sooner we get this resolved, the less stress for my members! I'm sorry for the length of this message, i'm just trying to provide all the detail i can.  I hope you can help. Thanks,Carol

more info: I usually get my mail using Outlook, but the messages are not there when I view them directly on Comcast.net either ....  I'm using Chrome for a browser and have VISTA for my OS Here's a message header from the most recent email sent to the group that I did not receive (i will xxx out the email addresses) at my Comcast address but DID receive at my Yahoo address:

You are going to need to change the email address you use with your old ID. Once you have got access to your old account you will then log into both accounts at the same time on your Mac and transfer your data to a single account. We can do this later, but need you to get access to your old account first.

  • When I click on a contact in Yahoo mail to email them, I get a box with the message "Something unexpected just happened...." and the screen locks up.

This happens with Firefox 11.0, Yahoo! edition 1.9 on Mac OS/X 10.6. Also the "To" line in the Yahoo mail send screen no longer auto-fills.

There have been various issues with Yahoo based email and the Flash plugin. Your Flash plugin is pretty old. You should go to http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/plugincheck/ and update Flash and any others that are outdated and then see if the problem still happens.

  • From one of my yahoo groups all the messages come thru appearing from the same person. Why is this?

I belong to several yahoo groups and use the filters to send them to their respective folders. Lately with one group, all the messages appear to be from the same person, which I know is not true from looking internally. I've looked on my providers site at my email, at at the groups site, they are that way so it's happening when it comes into Thunderbird. Running version 24.6.0.
    Thanks Dwight from WI

They aren't in the address book. Anyway I went into the config editor and set something to false and it took care of the problem. Don't remember what it was. Something with "Show" in it.
    Thanks for your time!

  • Retrieving User groups and email for all users in a group

    Hi Everyone,
I need to create an ADF application to retrieve all the groups in OID, the user would select a group and it should list down all the email addresses in that group.
Can you suggest what is the best way to achieve this. My main concern is how to retrieve groups and email addresses from OID. I was unable to find APIs for it.
    Your suggestions are greately appreciated.
    Thanks,

In a multi-user environment, a user install a dreamweaver extension, but just the user who install the extension can use it.
Is there a way that administrator install the extension and make this extension available for other users in multi-user environment(e.g. the Windows 7)
Dreamweaver had this capability many releases ago, but it has been dropped, so it's no longer available.

  • Not showing recent messages in Yahoo Groups

I have noticed in the past week or so that messages to a couple of Yahoo Groups are not posting promptly. Right now Firefox is showing me no messages posted since 7:17 a.m. even though I can see in Internet Explorer that messages have been posted at 8:37 a.m. and 12:36 p.m. that have not yet shown up when I view the Yahoo Group in Firefox.+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Unless the email account supports push access for received email, push being on or off makes no difference.
Push is supported with a Yahoo account created with the Yahoo account preset, with an Apple iCloud account, and with an Exchange account?
If the account is a POP account, are you also accessing the account with an email client on your computer that remains launched and running actively checking the account for new messages which your iPhone is doing the same?
If yes, what is the account setting with the email client on your computer for removing messages from the server after being downloaded?

  • Digest emails .eml files weird

    Hi
I'm subscribing to a digest for an email list. The emails get put into 1 long scrolling email on Apple Mail but sometimes the body of someone's email is missing and just the signature is there. Also sometimes there are equals signs at the end of the lines of text, or even more garbled gunk. Funny thing is it's something with Mail, because the files look ok in the web mail application. (godaddy) There the digest email is a list of attachments with .eml. When I look at them they're ok.
What's going on and how can I fix it? Thanks for any help.

Does anybody have problems reading digests of email lists in Apple Mail or am I the only one? Is there a way to have the links to the various posts to a digest preserved in Apple Mail? In other words so I can click on the individual posts in the digest and not have to scroll through it all?
Does anyone have any info on the missing messages above the signatures?
    Thanks. Just bumping.
