Reading and modifying data in a recursive node

Hi All,
I am using a TreeByNesting column in a table UI element of my component.
For this purpose I have created a node in the context - ('TREE') which contains a recursive node - ('RECURSIVE_TREE').
What would be the simplest way to read the data from this node ? And how do I go about changing a single line of information
within the node ?

What would be the simplest way to read the data from this node?
Reading data from a recursive node is no different to reading any normal node. It's just that you have a very simple way of holding the same structure.
Once you have a reference to the element of a node (a single line of data), then updating it is no different to updating a line of a table.
More issues are associated with making and setting lead selections for an element (all parent elements also need to be lead selected and no child elements). Searching through the hierarchy, etc.
Where I have used this functionality I have often set up search tables with the key data that I want to search in a flat table and a reference to the corresponding element - much easier to search then - without having to resort to recursive coding!
Could you elaborate a little on what exactly you are having an issue with?

Are they free ? Are they good ? Are there any other software programs out there ? I heard that some people have issues with Paragon.

Your best bet would be to take the drive to the oldest/compatible with that drive Windows PC and grab the files off, right click and format it exFAT (XP users can download exFAT from Microsoft) and then put the files back on.
Mac's can read and write all Windows files formats except write to NTFS (and in some cases not read) so if you can change the format of the drive to exFAT (all data has to be remove first) then you will have a drive that doesn't require paid third party NTFS software (a license fee goes to Microsoft) for updates.
Also it's one less hassle to deal with too.

Read and Modify NTUser.DAT file

Hello All,
I've to perform the uninstall operations of activesetup in a console application based in C#.
The tasks is to mount the NTUser.Dat file of all the users of system and search the HKLM and HKCU hives of each user and remove corresponding registry entries related to activesetup.
I've found the RegLoadKey method but couldn't found the read and modify methods to treat NTUser.dat for my requirement.
I've found one link:-

The Ntuser.dat file is a registry file. Each user's Ntuser.dat file contains the registry settings for their individual account. The Windows registry, as described by Microsoft, is a "central hierarchical database" that contains information about
the software, hardware and user profiles contained on a computer.
So about read that file, the.NET Framework supports a lot and in C# the RegistryKey class.
You can use the

Created and modified dates all the same

Clock is displaying the correct time but for all types of files the created and modified dates are all displaying the one date. Any suggestions?

Thanks for your input. I want to keep the files with a 1 or ~1 as it happens and delete the rest. I have written some scripts. I think I could write a script to delete all files with a 1, but of course that is not what I want. I guess
I need a script to delete all files except if they contain a 1. I haven't used a forum since way back in the PC mag days.
Whoops..........I just realized exactly what you were telling me and used your suggestion. I guess I was trying to do more work than I needed. I searched for all files with a 1 in the folder and then moved them to a different folder. Then

I want to display "modified by" and "modified date" on sharepoint wiki pages as a footer note.
I googled about it and I got the following code which I have inserted in my master page(Since I want to display on 2400 pages).

How can i Read and Delete data in Infocube

Can some help me how to read and delete data in infocube before loading data from direct DSO.
I should be able to read and delete condition with combination (0FISCPER, 0COMP_CODE).
Let us say we load JAN, comp _ code : 0001 (10 records )and JAN comp _ code :003 (30 records ) and JAN, comp _ code : 004 (20 records ) to infocube
second time if DSO gets data of JAN, comp _ code : 0001 (40 records ) it doent need to be 10 old + 30 new, it can be 9 old 21 new lay i need to delete 1 old rec which i dont need. so that is the reason i want delet all JAN, comp _ code : 0001 recods before loading.

You could use the selective deletion available with the cube to get the selective data for 0FISCPER, 0COMP_CODE combination deleted.
If you go in the manage of cube & Content tab, you would find the selective deletion option at the bottom of screen.
If you enter the option, you could give your selections for deleting the records and run the job.

When I try to create an external content type based on a view (AdventureWorks2012.vSalesPerson) - I can display the data in an external list. When I attempt to edit it, I get an error:
External List fails when attached to a SQL view
Sorry, something went wrong
Failed to update a list item for this external list based on the Entity (External Content Type) 'SalesForce' in EntityNamespace 'http://xxxxxxxx'. Details: The query against the database caused an error.
I can edit the view in SQL Manager, so it seems strange that it fails.
Any advice would be greatly GREATLY appreciated.

Have you already configured webcenter spaces so it can use content server?
Have you installed the content server seperatly from webcenter or as a part of the webcenter installation?
Check if you have the webcenter spaces component installed in content server because without i don't think it will work...
If you already have configured UCM to work with spaces it's quiet easy.
From your groupspace, open the settings page of your groupspace. Go to the services tab. In the left hand side you can enable the documents services. WHen you have done that, you are able to add the document services taskflows to your pages. Just go to a page in your pagegroup and edit it. Open the resource catalog and you will find some extra taskflows you can add.
If you haven't configured UCM and webcenter to work together, here some steps that will help you:
* Integrating UCM with Spaces
     * They both need to use the same LDAP store.
     * Since there is no LDAP server available, we choose for embedded WLS LDAP.
     * Integrating the ucm into apache
          * Stop UCM
          * In /oracle/product/wls10320/WebCenter/ucm/config/config.cfg, check the SocketHostAddressSecurityFilter to contain 127.0.0.1
          * Add the SocketHostAddressSecurityFilter to /oracle/product/wls10320/WebCenter/ucm/admin/bin/intradoc.cfg
          * Add to /oracle/product/wls10320/WebTier/instances/instance1/config/OHS/ohs1/httpd.conf
               include /oracle/product/wls10320/WebCenter/ucm/data/users/apache22/apache.conf
          * Change the mod_wl_ohs.conf file to

Get original file creation and modified date during upload - ONLY in explorerview ??

SharePoint and me are having a difficult time again ;-)
I have the customer requirement to retain the original file's creation date and modified date.
Please do not start replying by just pasting links that you might find while searching for the keywords "retain creation date".
In a nutshell I found out that the original dates are only available in SharePoint if the
explorerview has been used. I always thought that the explorerview is a bad thing, but only here - the original creation date is stored in a property called "vti_ct". In the itemupdated eventreceiver you can get the
value and work with it.

It is only available in the 2nd loop of the itemupdated event.
How the f*** can this happen??? The 2nd post states that when using the explorerview the file is being copied, while it is being re-created by using the SharePoint UI.
Has anyone a different approach for using the SharePoint UI?
I thought about different approaches for this issue. From my perspective it seems to be not solvable from the server-side. It seems only to be able to be set using a client application.

Newbie to SharePoint, learn quite a lot from the links you provided.
“I found out that the original dates are only available in SharePoint if the explorerview has been used”, this would make sense because the original creation time is generated
by the file system in the local machine.
However, when a file is uploaded to SharePoint library, it will be stored as binary data in the database, as well as the newly created time. It means that it will be a “new” file
in the SharePoint site regardless of where it comes from.
Per my knowledge, the only way I can suggest is that you will need to create a client desktop application for the file uploading, which will be a more general way not only for
uploading a file, but also when we need to migrate files between different systems.

I guess thats not possible in in Windows.
But if u r trying it on a unix machine.
You can use Runtime class to call exec on the command
ls -l filename
and then store the result in a file . And then take out the last modified time. But you cant get created time.
Thats a clumpsy way i believe.
