Reading attachments in the calendar

Hi, I have a question; I am working as an executive assistant and one of my duties is to organize a very busy calendar for the CEO.
I always put the attachments in his calendar for him to pick up to pre read etc, althoug they never show up in the iPhone or iPad!
Why is there a problem for the attachments to show up in the calendar? Best regards Eva

I can see that happening..Microsoft has a couple of best practices documents..one of the things they suggest is minimizing the number of delegates; it would be ideal if you could be the only delegate, but I know that is tough with vacations etc...here is a link to the best practices documents

I haven't read these for a while, but I think they say the best thing to do when deleting a meeting is to send out a cancellation rather than just deleting it from the calendar...Another thought, you might look at the Outlook.OST (the cache files) files on the various devices..sometimes they can get out of date...You can tell your CEO, that in looking at this, this is an issues that effects lots and lots of people, and it's not limited to iOS devices..same thing happens with WM devices and RIM devices..it's my belief is has to do with Outlook\Exchange not being particularly robust with the way it handles calendar reconciliation. Another thing we suggest is for end user to minimize the number of mail clients they run..so if the CEO has say, Outlook desktop running in two places and an iPhone and and iPad, he is asking for trouble...best to have just one Outlook fat client running, web access for other PC access, and a max of one mobile device if possible.

Is it possible to have the calendar "read back" the event created?

You can add an event to your calendar by recording or type in. I want the event to "speak back"
"read back" to me what it is at the time chosen on calendar.
This would be great for the blind also.
I have the alarm app that speaks back the time back to me at work, which is great.
Now I need the calendar to "announce" events to me
There should be a button to pick if you want that certain event to "speak out loud" , a choice , like the color tabs, reminder tabs, etc.
If we can speak to the phone, why can't we make it speak back at a certain time and day.

I wrote to the google webmaster to see if they can create such a response for their calendar. I don't need another calendar app. Just make this phone and calendar better.

This is not something that Verizon would handle or be able to change. It would be something that Google would have to change in the Android source code, or the OEMs in their device specific versions. Or you could just look for another app.

It will not show anywhere; it is simply your account pic so you know you're using that particular account in Mail (if there is more than one).

Question about using JavaMail API to read the calendar folder...

I've made an application that goes to the mail server, fetches all mails in the calendar folder and tells you the meetings you have in a particular day.
I'm using JavaMail API for this. My problem is that the application is very slow because I'm forced to fetch (one by one!) the contents of every message.
My question is: How can Outlook show so fast the mettings you have? Do they have a specific API that allows them to get the right info by only calling certain methods? Is there something similar in Java?

folder.fetch(allMessages, fetchProfile);howerver the fetchProfile class does not allow me to specfy that I want to dowload the contents of the message (you only can specify the content_info); specifying all headears does not help me either.

Clarification:
The VI you have posted will work as following:
1) The task will read 2 analog inputs (ai0, ai3).
2) The acquisition starts, oncece digital signal (trigger) is detected on PFI0
3) The sampling rate will be as specified in "rate" control - it is continuous analog input acquisition, which means that after trigger is received (point 2), the board will start to generate hardware clock with frequency you specify as "rate"
4) with each rising edge of that hardware clock, the measurement is taken, and stored into buffer of driver.
5) DAQmx read will try to read "number of samples per channel" number of samples each time is called - and if there is not enough measurement stored in buffer (step 4), then DAQmx read will wait until DAQ card will measure reaquested number of samples (or timeout occurs before requested number of samples has been acquired)
6) DAQmx read will be then called 1000 times - so totaly you will read 1000 * "number of samples per channel" number of samples.
You do not have to be worried about speed of the loop. In fact, if you need to read just 1000 samples, with 1kS/s, then you can remove for loop and you can change measurement mode from continuous to finite samples, and specify number of samples to read to be 1000. You will read them all properly. I recomend you to read User Manual for your DAQ device - lets say M Series User Manual.

Don't spend a lot of time trying to change it. It's an iCloud problem that's happened before, and when it happened in August it went back to the correct colors in a few days. Just be careful when you add new items to the calendar to use the right calendar (even if the color is wrong), otherwise you'll have things out of synch when the correct colors come back.

Its likely there but he pop up page isn't resizing properly.
Try a reset: Simulaneously hold down the On and Home buttons until the iPad shuts down. Ignore the off slider if it should appear. When shut down is complete, turn the iPad back on.

The calendar typeface is so dim, I can barely read it. Name of days and date, but not the items I put in. Apple says they have no fix. Anyone else have this problem? Any solutions?

What means "unable" - how do you try downloading attachments, and what exactly happens when you try?

Technically, the phone CAN be tracked using the "serial" number, but no one will do that for you. If your phone is offline, there's no way of reaching it. Most likely, it's already been restored and either put up for sale on eBay, or is being used by the theives themselves.
Sorry, but there's nothing else you can do other than report it to your carrier, the police, and change all your passwords to any account that might have been in use on the phone.

Re: attachments from Outlook calendar

I also synchronize my personal Blackberry 8830 phone manually. Any attachment to my Outlook calendar will not synchronize as a readable attachment on my Blackberry calendar. Is there software I can add that will allow me to open and view attachments (Word Docs, PDF, JPG, Excel) in my Outlook Calendar?

As stated above, Desktop To Go Premium Edition should let you read any non-email-attachment PDF file. The Standard Edition will already let you read .doc, .xls, etc...and .jpg is natively viewable on BB's. There are other PDF add-on's as well -- BeamReader? -- but I've not used them.

Attachments on iPhone Calendar Appointments?

I haven't been able to find much conclusive information about it, but it seems that the iPhone/iPad/iTouch cannot display attachments on calendar appointments? The invitation received by attendees, shows the attachment(s), but once accepted and the invitation is moved to trash, the appointment shows up on the calendar without the attachments. This is terribly inconvenient. Am i missing something or is this indeed (not possible) by design?

additional note:
All appointments are synchronizing from an account on my companies MS Exchange server.

iCal just shows the calendars you have created in your account(s). So if you are using iCloud just log into your iCloud account in a web browser and make as many new calendars as you wish to have. Then enable those in iCal.
If you use Google accounts or something else for the calendars, then create them as needed, and enable them in iCal.
I have several separate calendars all displayed in iCal - a couple linked through my Gmail accounts, and one through my iCloud account. Each uses a different default item color so they are distinct in iCal.

How can I alter a calendar script to place progressive dates on every day in the calendar year?

Is there an easy way either to alter the calendar script or create something that will allow for variable text in each day of the year?
I am creating a calendar for a cattle rancher, and he wants to include a gestation calendar in the design.
So...instead of the Julian date on every caledar day, he would like to include the date that a calf will be born if the cow had been bred on a particular day. For example: On the calendar date, January 1, in that box, another smaller date will appear - 10/9, On January 2 - 10/10 and so on. But, I need this progression to continue throughout the whole year.
I have attempted to manually enter each date in a separate table and super impose it over the calendar, but this is very slow and very tedious. There has to be a faster way.
I am comfortable looking at code and can often times figure out which fields to change, but I am a bit lost on this one. Where do I start?

That helped, but still did not solve the "continous scroll" question.
I did however discover that if you go to Search and type in a "common" letter like "s", a Continuous List view will appear.
Any further help on how to do this as a default view would be appreciated from any and all.
