Reading List Bug

I have been using the 'Reading List' as a default Bookmark list as I find it more accessible than the old Bookmark system in Safari. After recently updating Safari my reading list has developed a bug. Firstly my entire list had disappeared ( most annoying and inconvenient as I began rely on the list for my continuing study of important references in relation to my business) but I strangley I do get a multiple entry of my last used item. In fact the last time I opened up the list I had about ten duplications of the same bookmark. A recent example is below. My other references ( which incidently, courtesy of iCloud appear on my iPhone bookmarks) have disappeared.
Some advice here would be appreciated.

Safari Reading List Bug

I have twice had a problem where, while attempting to add a new page to the Reading List in Safari, almost all th existing items in the list vanish. In their place are multiple copies (like about a dozen each) of the last two or three items added to the list. There seems no way to recover the previous saved entries at this point. Obviously frustrating.
Has anyone else seen this? Or know of way to fix or prevent this from happening?

Deselect Bookmarks in System Preferences > iCloud then reselect then restart your Mac.

Adding a page to Reading List causes full screen "bug"

When I attempt to add a page to the Reading List in Safari 5.1.1 running in full screen, it appears to "bug out." The window slides to the Finder and causes the dock and menu bar to slide on top of the still full screen Safari window. When I pull up Mission Control, the Safari desktop is sitting empty with the Safari window on the desktop.

This is still an issue in Safari 5.1.2. Is anyone else experiencing this?

Why some pages are not available offline in Safari reading list?

From time to time I experience surprises that some web pages are not available offline in reading list of Safari - link is stored, but content - no.
I was thinking that I was closing Safari too fast before pages downloaded.
But I rechecked - I gave safari enough time and it still not downloaded.
When internet connection is available pages are readable, but not in offline.
And related to issue:
Should I open Safari to allow to download page, when I add page to reading list from other applications by selecting "Add to reading list"?

YEs, it's totally frustrating... I'll never again just go along with an upgrade. After upgrading to IOS8 the reading list feature no longer works.
I even tried the factory reset, clearing out everything and making my iPad 2 like it was originally. And I didn't restore from backup either, afraid whatever bug it is would come back. I even installed iCab Mobile, and Readability... nothing works!
I Really, really, regret upgrading. I want my fully functioning IOS7 back!!
IS there any way to get IOS7 back, 'coz this IOS8 is for the birds?!

How do i restore my reading list in 38.0b8

when i did the upgrade from38.0b7 to 38.0b8 my reading list went away. I'm running windows 7 ultimate and windows 10 tech preview build 10061

How do i restore my reading list on my mini?

I was fidiling around with it and then it sort of went stil and then safari exited by itself. I got some of the reding list back but does anyone know how I could restore the whole thing. Please

Show Reading List keyboard shortcut does not work

The Show Reading List keyboard shortcut (shift-command-L) does not work in Lion Safari 5.1.

Problem has been fixed. I reported the bug to Apple from the Safari menu. Also, I had a different application that used the same keyboard shortcut for one of their hotkey's which I disabled. Then it worked fine. Shift-Command-L now shows reading list in Lion.

Reading list stopped working

After storing bookmarks in iCloud Reading List no longer works at all. 100's of bookmarks lost!
Any help appreciated.

Thanks, Carolyn, for your reply. It was the Reading List that I lost, and it IS considered a bookmarks list and supported by iCloud syncing of bookmarks in general, as I have verified. Reading List was working fine until I turned on Bookmarks syncing in iCloud. Then it just vanished with hundreds of links. I tried what you suggested, reset the SMC, which helped a little on my MacBook, but not my MacBook Pro. For the Pro I finally tried removing com.apple.Safari and letting it rebuild. That brought back Reading List, but it's now full of bugs, works sometimes, deletes entries after viewing their pages, and other wonkiy behaviour. At least the entries are still there, but I can't find the database or any way to create a backup.
Hope this is helpful, and that Apple fixes it.

You should be able to swipe across the item in the reading list and a Delete button should appear on it - is that not happening ?

Is there a way to delete your offline files from your reading list, without having to remove the item from the list itself? In case you want to look something back up at a later time, like when you're trying to remember something you know that you read but can't put your finger on it, or whatever the reason.

How to delete THE WHOLE Reading List of Safari iOS 8 in one shot?

I know how to delete individual items one by one by sliding them to the left, I know how to clear their cache in Settings and I know how to clear Safari's history but nothing clears the whole Reading List in one stroke.
How do you do?

How to delete file names from Adobe Reader list

How can I delete file names from the Adobe Reader list? I have deleted the file & it's empty, but deleted file names remain in my list & it's very annoying. I can't seem to find an option anywhere to delete the file names.

I have set the amount to zero, & it seems if I want to put back valid files into my list I first need to find them in another file in my pc, such as documents, open them in Adobe Reader, & then then they will reappear in the Adobe Reader list. This seems to be the case, you need to restore each file you want in your list one by one by accessing them elsewhere on your pc, & then you must open them with Adobe Reader to have files reappear in your Adobe Reader list. However, this seems to be a tedious process if you only want to delete one obsolete file from your list by first emptying the list & rebuilding it file by file. It works, but I'm wondering if there is a more sensible & efficient way to do this?

I have huge lag with Safari's Reading List using a rMBP. I have probably 80 articles saved, which is likely the cause of the lag. Is there any way to export that list of articles so as to be able to delete them from Reading List but still have a record?

I'm currently dealing with this issue myself, except that my rMBP has NO articles in the reading list. It's a brand new rMBP too, purchased just this week, with the 2.6 Ghz Processor & 16GB of RAM.
Let's see what we can find. I may just take it back to the Apple Store.

SI since upgrading to ios8, Safari pages are very slow to load, Kindle crashes upon opening, and I can no longer read saved artices from my reading list when offline. Big disappointment. Is it possible to downgrade to previous ios?

I actually managed to fix it! But unfortunately I don't know what I was that I did that helped.
Anyways, this is kind of what I did.
1. I tried to reset form bakup via iTunes, no change.
2. I tried to reset as a new iPhone, problem still there and reading list also as bookmarks!? (several hundred)
3. Noticed that I could delete a bookmark, once in a while, the other times I got the 'Bookmarks are being synced. Please edit the bookmarks once syncing has completed.' message.
4. Because I figured that it was a memory problem, I thought it made sense to delete as many as possible, witch I did.
5. Noticed that it was more likely that I coould delete a bookmark if I restarted Safari.
6. Notice that it was even more likely that I could delete a bookmark if I turned the Safari sync with iCould off (with option detete information on iPhone) and then back on again.
7. When I was about half way through deleting the bookmark list I suddenly discovered that all but one of the items in my reading list was 'waiting' and one was downloading. I kind of was 'unstuck' now.
8. I started to delete items in my reading list, but every other time I got the 'Bookmarks are being synced. Please edit the bookmarks once syncing has completed.' message.
9. It took a while to delete all bookmarks and items in the reading list.
Hope you guys could use the info here to fix your problems too!
