Reading list doesn't sync?

So I set up iCloud (correctly, I hope) and iOS 5. And I opened up Safari on my iPad, only to find that my dozens of Reading List items hadn't synced from my Macbook to my iPad. Is there some specific setting I have to turn on for this to happen? Or do I just..wait? Help is appreciated.

Restart your MacBook, resteart your iPad.
Then on your iPad open Safari, tap Bookmarks
See if the Reading List has synced.
If not, on your iPad, tap Settings / General / Reset / Reset Network Settings
Try again.
You can check iCloud System Status here.

I have an iMac on OS 10.9.5, and iPhone 4s and iPad3 on iOS 7.1.2...
My Safari setting on iCloud are on but the reading list and bookmarks do not sync in neither way...
The strange thing is that I can see that open tabs are syncing, on the iMac, when I search for smth, I can see it displays me the iClouds open tabs from the tablet and iphone... but that is all. no sync of bookmarks and reading list...
any suggestions ?

I have the exact same problem (and not only with Safari but with the notes app as well): The information is not synced at all. I've tried toggling the check marks for "safari" and "notes" within the iCloud settings on both sides (iPhone as well as iMac) but it doesn't do anything .... the information does not sync at all!
I had this problem using Mavericks and now still have it using Yosemite. On my iPhone 4 I have the latest iOS version possible, 7.1.2.
BTW: Resetting the devices doesn't solve the problem either ... I already did a complete "restore" of the iPhone yesterday and still the syncing does not work!
BTW2: It seems that nothing gets synced anymore to my iPhone. I just notice that a new contact, added on my iMac, isn't available on my iPhone.
Any help would be welcomed ......

IPad 4 with iOS 8 "read list" doesn't work

After updating to iOS 8, read list feature in Safari doesn't work animore!!!((( I can not read articles without the intertnet!
And also, Apple, come on, make iWork for free for rest of you costomers! It's ridicules to pay 30$ just only because that I bought the iPhone 4 and iPad 4 erlier...and even by highest price!

You indicate iOS 8.1.2 on iPhone 4
Either you have a 4S or you have iOS 7.x
But with that said
Can you please check Settings -- General -- Accessibility - scroll down to Interaction -- Call Audio Routing and see if Automatic is checked?

Reader list doesn't always work

Hi,
I like the reader list. It's like pocket.
The problem I have is that the icon doesn't always show up to allow me to mark an article. Like businessweek.com. Not sure why. On other sites, like IO9.com, no problem.
I have a Google Nexus 5 phone with 5.0 Lollipop.

Because base in my experience, the icon will appear when all the webpage is completely loaded .

Safari 5.1.1 Reading list is not syncing to my iPad and vice versa.

Running Lion 10.7.2, iOS5 on iPad, Safari 5.1.1, iCloud all setup propertly, everything is working except Reading list, it will not sync to the iPad or vice versa?
Any ideas? Are Apple servers just being overloaded?

What seems to have helped is "Turn iCloud Bookmarks off and back on"
I did that before, but without step 4: "Close System Preferences and wait about a minute."
Did that now, and it synchronized with the iOS devices.

Reading list doesn't work

I add some articles on my mac to the reading list, then I try to access them offline (they appear in safari) from my iPhone, but they are available only when online.
How can I read articles while offline?

Having same problem on my iPhone 3GS, iOS 5. I can save a page in Reading List but you still need internet access to reload the page.

TS2972 Home Sharing, Bookmark update & reading list all stopped syncing since software upgrade

After Apple TV, iTunes and phone update nothing will sync with my PC!!

Home Sharing is working perfectly fine for me, and I'm quite sure many others. I'm using Windows 7, a Linksys WRT54G router with WPA2 security enabled, and iTunes 10.1.2. It would help if you could answer a few questions:
1- Let's start with the obvious -- what version iTunes are you using? (you need 10.1 but didn't say)
2- Have you enabled Home Sharing on your computer and ATV?
3- What router make and model are you using? I don't know of specific issues here, but others may.
4- Is the ATV hooked up to your router via ethernet, or wireless? If wireless, try ethernet at least temporarily if you can, just to narrow down the problem as it may be a wireless configuration in your router's settings.
5- Using the Remote App on your iPhone, can you control the ATV? Or, can you only stream audio to ATV from your iPhone? If Remote works, can you get to YouTube, Netflix, or the iTunes store and successfully play any content?

Reading list won't sync between Safari on PC (Win. 8) and iPhone

Safari doesn't even show up as an option on my iCloud Control Panel (v3.0)!!! Anybody know how to fix this?

Make sure your iPhone is directly connected to your Mac and not plugged into a hub.
Try Resetting the Sync History in the iSync applications preferences.

Safari on my PC (5.1.7) the bookmarks and reading list no longer sync with my IOS7 devices?? Have Apple ended it?

Open the iCloud Panel on your PC. Deselect the box next to Booksmarks then reselect it.
On your iOS devices, tap Settings > iCloud
Switch Safari off then back on.
Give iCloud a few minutes to re sync the data.

Offline reading list doesn't work - Ipad 3/Iphone 4s

I have an iPad 3, iPhone 4s, and an iMac. Offline reading works on the Imac, but not the others. I just tried restoring the Ipad 3, without loading any other data, and using the offline reading feature. It claims to be downloading for offfline reading, but then won't load in airplane mode. Here is the error message;
"Safari cannot open the page. The error was: "The operation couldn't be completed. Operation not permitted".
All settings are default. iCloud has not been set up. I am currently using iOS 8 on both the iPad and iPhone, but the feature didn't work on iOS 7 either. It worked for a while, then quit.

I have iPhone 4s and also have the same problem. Had a nightmare of a time with support on the phone, where I waited to be put through to a senior tech person but they just hang up while I was in the queue, made worse with the fake apologies from the first line people. For what it's worth I left a bug report feedback describing the problem. it's a bug that Apple will just need to fix with an update. ps I factory restored my phone as well and still the same problem. Same problem on my other iPhone 5s also after a factory restore. No problem on a friends 4s which is still on ios7.

I've added a webpage to Safari's reading list on my Macbook. I then check it on my iPad and the page isn't there. I've also synced the iPad but the page still doesn't show up. Is Reading List supposed to sync across devices?

Yes it should.
Tap Settings > iCloud.
Make sure Bookmarks is switched ON.
Try resetting your iPad.
Hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button and the Home button down at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
Then tap the Bookmarks icon and see if the webpage has synced from the MacBook in the Reading List.
If that didn't help, on your MacBook open System Preferences > iCloud. Switch Bookmarks OFF then back ON again.

My reading list stopped syncing to my PC

My reading list will not sync anymore on my PC in Safari. the last time it synced was Saturday, September 21, 2013, 12:36:00 AM. I have W7 64bit Professional. I updated my iphone to ios7 the day after it came out.

For your PC, deslect the box next to Bookmarks in the Control Panel then reselect it.
On your iPhone, tap Settings > iCloud. Switch Safari off then back on.
Give iCloud a few minutest to re sync your Bookmarks.
When you go to the Control Panel on your PC, make sure your Safari selected. If not, click Options.

Reading list sync issue

have an iPhone 5s, iPad air, iMac and macbook air. All fully updated. I have a very odd and frustrating sync issue. Reading lists do not sync correctly. If I add something to the reading list on my phone it will sync with my iPad and vice-versa but not with the macs. The same issue with the macs. Reading list additions made on my iMac will sync with the macbook and vice-versa but not with iOS devices. Everything else syncs perfectly including bookmarks, open tabs, calendar entries, iCloud documents etc. Reading lists are the only issues. I have turned syncing on and off, deleted and recreated plists, started and restarted multiple times in various orders and even emptied my reading lists and started from scratch but nothing has helped. Has anyone any ideas?

Sync iOS Reading List with Safari without affecting Bookmarks

I read several news sources on my iPhone 4 and frequently want to read the same article on my Macbook Pro with Safari. Currently, I email the website link to myself from my iPhone but I think the Reading List feature that syncs over iCloud would be far more elegant. The problem is that I don't want to merge or interrelate my iPhone and Safari bookmarks.
Any suggestions?
