  • My compatible ebook reader is not showing in ADE

I have downloaded epub books from the library onto a windows laptop ADE.
I connected my ebook reader to the computer before opening ADE but it does not show in the library
I have ADE authorization but cannot transfer my library books as the ebook reader is not showing.
I have previously transferred onto the same ebook reader but I have had to do a restore on the laptop and then delete my previous authorization and re-authorize.

I have had something the same, it's now sorted.  I don't know what I did but I now have my book on my reader.  Perhaps someone out there could tell us what to do as I am sure this is going to happen again.  I tend to just go at it without knowing what I'm about but it works for me.  I know that is not satisfactory but I have no skills in the technology field!  Good luck - to us both!

W520 Smart Card reader does not show up in Device Manager.
It was working before and now nothing.  Nothing happens when SD card plugges in.
Could my smart card reader stop working or is this a configuration issue?
    Any thoughts?

  • The side menu in iTunes is not showing up so therefore my ipad is not showing up.

The left hand side menu is not showing in iTunes so therefore Ipad is not showing. What to do?

You can also go to View>Show Sidebar in the iTunes menu at the top of the screen. The key command on a Mac is Option+Command+S.

  • Just got an iPad mini 3 and have not reset my iPad mini 3; is that why the photos from iCloud backup are not showing up in the new iPad?

Just got an iPad mini 3 and have not reset my iPad mini 3; is that why the photos from iCloud backup are not showing up in the new iPad?

Sorry, don't know what you are asking. You have an old iPad Mini 3 and a new iPad Mini 3?  How did you set up the new iPad? Did you restore it from a backup of the old iPad? What photos are you not seeing?

  • Unread and read mail not showing in Mail after upgrading to Yosemite

    Hi there,
    I recently upgraded to Yosemite.
In the Mail app, mail is not showing up properly. I have unread mail, which is not showing up, despite me refreshing or sorting by unread first, and even an email I read this morning on Chrome isn't showing up, as you can see by screenshots.
How do I fix this issue?

    Hi,
In Mail > Mailbox dropdown menu, try clicking on Rebuild at the bottom.

  • Images and graphics are not showing in certain emails when using Firefox. They show in Google Chrome.

Certain emails from f.chtah.com(image info) are not showing graphic or image content. This happens in both gmail and hotmail. If opened in Google Chrome, they show up.
I had my computer wiped clean last week and everything was showing up ok again until this morning. The same emails are having the problem that was going on for the previous month.
I make sure that all updates are installed.

I figured it out. Clear your cookies. The company that hosts the images and the stylesheets updated their domain name- i figured this out in Chrome, it was showing a different URL for the css- http://ebm.cheetahmail.com
After all the cookies (Privacy Tab in preferences) and reloading the pages the images and stylesheets started working again.
I hope this helps other folks.

  • Outlook 2010 name and company not showing in outlook emails

When someone emails me my name is not showing up at the top of the email - only my email address. Also in the same email some of the cc'd people's names are showing along with their email addresses, for some people you see their name and company and some
people you see only their email address. How do I get our names and company name to show up at the top of emails?
    Example:
Cc: Kevin Kxxxx ([email protected]); [email protected]; Rxxx, Pxxx ([email protected]); George H (S.Pxxxx Hxxxx) <[email protected]>

That's controlled by the sending copy of Outlook, and depends whether Outlook is aware of the name associated with the email address. For instance, if you send an email using a contact that includes the recipients name that Outlook will add that detail to
the message being sent, but if you manually enter the email address (and Outlook doesn't have the address and name in its autocomplete cache) then just the email address will be displayed.
Most likely, if you receive a message that only has the email address then it would indicate that the sender hasn't received an email from that address previously, and as such Outlook is unable to determine what the name is.
The crucial thing is that there's nothing you can do as the recipient to affect this, it's purely down to the senders Outlook. As the recipient you simply receive the email containing the information that their email client included when it was sent.

  • Sign in to icloud... but it is not showing the correct email. It works on my computer but not on the phone

Its is showing the wrong email... I can sign in on my computer but not the phone

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
If it isn't showing up at all, it means that Find My Phone hasn't been activated.
If it's just the location that isn't showing up, it may well mean it isn't connected to a network at this time.

  • Time of email shows in Date Column, Date is not showing on new emails

Date is not showing in Date column. Only time is showing.
I just migrated from OE - Old emails show the time & Date.

If these are emails received today that is normal. Thunderbird assumes you know what day it is and only displays the time for messages received today. It will append the date to these messages at midnight tonight.

  • Apps option on the left pane not showing

The Apps button to view Apps on the left hand pane of Itunes is not showing? Does anyone know how to fix this?

    iTunes prefs General.
    Click Apps next to Show:

  • Outlook window moves off computer screen to right when I click to expand reading pane - can't reply to emails

Outlook 2010 opens fine.  When I click on the reading pane to expand it to full screen it moves off the right of the screen.
Can't reply to emails as pane is not available.  What do I need to do so pane comes up on the screen

    Hi Rick,
Can you post a screenshot here so we can better understand your situation?
For your issue, please follow the steps below to narrow down the root cause:
Try reset view settings for your Outlook. In Outlook 2010, switch to
View tab, click Reset View button in the
    Current View group.
Start Outlook with the command line Outlook.exe /resetnavpane, type the command line in the Run window and press Enter.
Start Outlook in safe mode to determine if it could be caused by the 3rd-party add-ins, to do so, type
Outlook.exe /safe in the Run window and press Enter. If the behavior won't occur in safe mode, try disable all the add-ins, and enable them one by one to find which one might cause this problem.

  • Sd card reader does not show up as a external hard drive any were on my mac

i have a sd card reader that is run through usb. i plug it in whit my card in it that has files on it but the driver does not show up any were not on the desktop not any were ive gone through the trouble shooting on apples sight but no luck. any one have a idea?
the weird part about it is that it worked a few weaks ago no problem like i would just plug it in and it would show up on my desktop

It seems that Intel Macs have problems seeing (the media in) some USB storage devices.
For example I have a Zynet CR-T1-U28 8-in-1 memory card reader. It works A-OK on an old Powerbook running 10.3.9, and on several PPC-based newer machines running 10.4.10. The cards I've tried in it mount immediately and show up on the desktop (and iPhoto starts automatically if appropriate).
However none of the FAT-formatted cards I've tried will mount on any Intel-based machine I've tried it on (all have been running 10.4.10).
Here's how it shows up on my Macbook:
    USB Storage Device:
    Version: 1.00
    Bus Power (mA): 500
    Speed: Up to 480 Mb/sec
    Manufacturer: Generic
    Product ID: 0x3260
    Serial Number: 20030903213338562
    Vendor ID: 0x0aec
And here's how it shows up on the old Powerbook:
    USB Storage Device:
    Capacity: 60.75 MB
    Removable Media: Yes
    Detachable Drive: Yes
    BSD Name: disk1
    Vendor Name: Generic
    OS9 Drivers: No
    Product ID: 12896 ($3260)
    Speed: Up to 12 Mb/sec
    Bus Power (mA): 500
    Serial Number: 20030903213338562
Interestingly one kind of card I've tried, a Sandisk M2 card, the 64 MB card shown on the powerbook, mounts A-OK when it's in my Z710i phone and is connected via USB to the macbook. At first I thought the card reader could be at fault, but given the number of (admittedly vague) reports I've seen here today about similar problems with other devices I'm more inclined to blame some driver or kernel problem on Intel macs.
The following showed up for the first time ever in the console log during today's test to get the System Profiler data:
    Jul 22 14:27:17 macweird kernel[0]: USBF: 773285.286 IOUSBCompositeDriver[0x60c0c80](USB Storage Device) GetFullConfigDescriptor(0) returned NULL
