Goto tcode
PFCG
1.Create a Role and click the Third Tab Authorizations once you create the role
click the change icon.
2.EDIT->Insert Authorization->selection criteria
search for human resources and add..
3.in the tree navigate to HR master Data -->authorization Level as R
M (read with entry helps)
R (read),
S (write locked record; unlock if the last person to change the record is not the current user),
E (write locked record),
D (change lock indicator),
W (write data records)
(all operations).
Note:Use /nAuth to change the menu tree for authorization in left hand side .
If you have IDES copy the profile HR940_RESTRICTED to Z profile and modify accordingly.

Error : 'No object identification permitted for infotype 0582, subtype LTA'

Hi Experts,
               While executing the program 'HINUINFO_UPDATE'
i am getting an error 'No object identification permitted for infotype 0582, subtype LTA'.
               After the approval for LTA claim is done in ESS i have executed the program 'HINUINFO_UPDATE' to update he infotypes 15 and 582. Infotype 15 is getting created but while creating the infotype 582 system gives the above error message.
             In the detailed error log system gives the following message.
                "You attempted to access a data record with the object identification 1. However, according to the Customizing settings, object identifications cannot be used for subtype LTA of infotype 0582".
        Can anybody please assist me how to solve this problem. Helpful answers will be rewarded.

Position Budgeting and Control ->Automatic Commitment/Budget Creation ->Basic Settings ->Activate Recording of Financing Relevant Infotype Changes ->Define Relevant Object Types for Change Log
Here, you can define the object types for which you want to monitor the changes
Position Budgeting and Control ->Automatic Commitment/Budget Creation ->Basic Settings ->Activate Recording of Financing Relevant Infotype Changes ->Define Infotypes Relevant for Change Log
Here, you can define the infotypes that you want to monitor.
Finally, make sure the change log is activated at the below step
Position Budgeting and Control ->Automatic Commitment/Budget Creation ->Basic Settings ->Activate Recording of Financing Relevant Infotype Changes ->Activate Change Log for Infotypes

Problem using function module for infotype 21

hi
im uploading the infotype 21 (family details) through function module hr_infotype_operations. i found that infotype 0106 (family/related person)
is a secondary infotype and that a record is created for 0106 ,everytime you create a record in 21. so i upload the family data of an employee using the function module for infotype 21 initially. and then fetch the same record from the table pa0106 and modify the same record with other information.
for example : u have the address details of a dependent(father subtype 11) in infotype 21. this address data is stored in the table pa0106 . im not able to modify the record for infotype 0106 using the function module 0106.
i would like to know the reason for the same. Is it because that infotype 0106 is a secondary infotype and u cannot modify the record using the fn module..?/

Reading Texts from Infotype

Hi,
How can we read texts from the Infotype. There is this function module HR_ECM_READ_TEXT_INFOTYPE, but we need the Employee Number, Begin date and End Date as inputs.
I just want to check if a field with a particular value exists or not.
just like this works to check whether the field DAT35 with value 99991231 exits or not.
SELECT PERNR FROM PA0035 INTO V_PERNR WHERE DAT35 = '99991231'.
IF SY-SUBRC = 0.
ENDIF.
the same way for a text, but this text actually gets stored in a structure thats why we cannot use a select for infotype

What i am getting from ur explanation is that u are having a probelm in accessing a text field from the infotype, i.e: the value field in included in the infotype table (PA0035) but its text is in another table.
If this is the problem, u should first use select statement on PA0035 to get the required infotype record. Then use F1 help on the required text field on the infotype screen to get the table and field name. Then u can use select statement on that table by specifying the relavant value field from the previous select in the where clause.

Authorization for Infotype 0008

Dear Experts,
I am new for SAP HR module, and I am facing one authorization issue.
It is about the PA30 authorization for Infotype 0008, I want to restrict user ( ext_test) who can change Infotype 0008 for person ID 44000156, Employee group 1, Employee subgroup EP(ETXAT).
And I create the role for T-code PA30.
In the P_ORGINCON object, I configure the activity as following :
Authorization level            E, R, S                                                                      AUTHC
Infotype                           0008                                                                          INFTY
Personnel Area                *                                                                               PERSA
Employee Group              1                                                                               PERSG
Employee Subgroup         EP                                                                            PERSK

But when I execute PA30 with person ID 44000156, and want to change Infotype 0008, It shows that I miss the authorization.

I don't know why it asks the * authorization for Employee group and subgroup even I want to chagne the data which are fit my created authorizations.

Employee group is 1 (Direct), and subgroup is EP ( Expat).
I don't know if it is possible if I want to restrict the authority as following:
I have two person ID, one is 44000156, the other is 44000246.
44000156 has Employee group 1(Direct) and subgroup EP(Expat)
44000246 has Employee group 2(Indirect) and subgroup 3(Management)
I want to restrict the authority that end user can only change Infotype 0008 for the person which subgroup is EP ( No matter the Employee group is 1,2, or 3).That is , in this case, I can only change 44000156 basic pay but not 44000246.
So in the P_ORGINCON object, I restrict the Authorization level as "E,M,and R); Infotype as "0008"; and subgroup as "EP".
After that , I did the test with end user's accout. then SU53 shows that it need to have Employee subgroup = "*".
I don't know why it need the * authority for Employee subgroup. I should be able to change 44000156 since I granted the subgroup "EP" to end user account.

Objective of Features is to default based on certain conditions.
Infotype 1000 is to create an object and doesnt not make use of Any Feature...or in simple words, NO FEATURE EXISTS for Infotype 1000.

Problem in updating Data for infotype P0009 through BADI

we are facing a problem while trying to update value of Date field for infotype P0009 through PA30.
we have tried to update by using BADI hrpad00infty, we are providing value in new_innnn structure of method
AFTER_INPUT, but the value is not getting updated for that PARNR.
Can anyone help me regarding the same?

HRPAD00INFTY BADI methods don't allow to modify any values of the current record being processed, but there's a possible wworkaround accessing memory fields using field-symbols:

Problem in scrambling HR data for infotype 0021

i am working on hr data scrambling project.But i am facing problem in updating the table(master table) for infotype 0021.
i am using function module hr_infotype_operation. The error message it shows " EPG.... 009 NO DATA IS STORED FOR 0021

That simply means that you are trying to update non-existing data... which of course is not possible

How to skip authorisation for infotype when using dynamic selection ?

Hi folks,
I have a problem here.
When im using dynamic selection screen, i cannot skip authorisation for subtypes of an infotype. Eg. if my record for 0185 have records that do not have authorisation for the subtypes. Dynamic selection will filter away this record and will not get me into the Get Peras as id i use to run has authorisation configured. IT will skip out of Get Peras.
However, if im not using dynamic selection screen, i will use the normal pnpce fields, i will be able to get the record, as i do my authorisation check using function module in the get peras, and i did not declare 0185 in the infotypes.
May i know if there is any solution to this problem as dynamic selection screen is a standard...

however i cannot skip authorisation for the whole pernr as i need the authorisations for the processing reports.
Currently the case is like this..
i have a authorisations for infotype 0185. i have 2 subtypes records such as ZA and ZB. the user does not have authorisation to read ZB but has authorisation to read ZA.
However, when use dynamic selection, it will skip out the pernr.
If the pernr 0185 records has only ZA subtype but no ZB subtype, it will not skip this pernr when using dynamic selection.
Anymore idea how to overcome this?
