Readme file

When installing the trial on Windows, it will extract itself to an Adobe folder in "My Documents" and then offer to perform the installation. Do take a look at the Adobe folder, though, since there is a Readme file in there that contains a lot of value information. There is a section on migrating from the betas, as well as the following lists of known issues:
* Lightroom may be unable to see or import raw files directly from attached Canon cameras on Windows XP. Please visit Canons technical support web site for information on this known driver issue or use a dedicated card reader to import files captured with Canon cameras.
* Lightroom may experience decreased performance when virus software is monitoring Lightrooms disk or database activity.
* Lightroom may experience decreased performance when the preference to Update XMP Automatically is turned on in the preferences.
* Adobe applications must be updated with the Camera Raw 3.7 plug-in order to ensure compatibility with Lightroom 1.0 develop module settings. The following products will support the Camera Raw 3.7 plug-in: Photoshop CS2, Photoshop Elements 4.0, Photoshop Elements 5.0 and Premiere Elements 3.0.
* If the Convert to DNG command returns the error: An error occurred while converting file image.raw please check to make sure that the volume the image is located on is not locked or read-only.
* Transparent Identity Plates are not rendered properly when web galleries are previewed in Lightroom using Internet Explorer 6.
* The date format shown at the top of the import dialog may display English formatting in the Japanese version of Lightroom 1.0 for the Mac. Please note that the date format is set in the Format section of International settings. Date format is not linked to the current system language.(1465684)
* It is not possible to drag and drop TIFF, PSD or PDF files onto the Graphical Identity Plate area of the Lightroom 1.0 Windows Identity Plate window. PSD and PDF Identity plates are not currently supported in Lightroom on Windows and TIFF files must be selected using the Locate command. (1467022)
* Photoshop Lightroom User Guide Corrections
o Chapter 1, Page 79 Tone a grayscale photo. Correction of Item 3: Set the Balance slider to balance the effect between the Highlight and Shadow sliders. Positive values increase the effect of the Shadow sliders; negative values increase the effect of the Highlight sliders.
o Chapter 4, Page 30 Compare photos in the Library module. The selected icon has changed to include a cross line and more closely resembles an X.
o Chapter 4, Page 34 Set library view options for Loupe view . Show info overlay is not displayed by default
o Chapter 4, Page 37 Rotate photos in the Library module. The toolbar pop-up menu is not available in the Compare view.
o Chapter 4, Page 42 Update photos changed by another application. The behavior described in the referenced section only applies if the Lightroom preference is set to automatically write changes to XMP.
o Chapter 4, Page 47 Tips for working with stacks. The following statement is incorrect: Keyword tags applied to a collapsed stack are applied to all photos in the stack. Keyword tags applied to a collapsed stack only apply to the top photo.
o Chapter 4, Page 48 Expand and collapse stacks. The tip regarding navigation of a closed stack view is incorrect. Close stacks may not be navigated in the loupe view using the navigation arrows.

  • HOW DO I UNINSTALL WINDOWS 8.1 PREVIEW FROM MACBOOK PRO (SNOW LEOPARD)... CAN NOT FIND README FILE FOR WINDOWS PREVIEW. PLEASE HELP

how can i uninstall windows 8.1 preview from my macbook pro?? ive looked for over an hour for the readme file for the windows 8.1 preview and have had no luck. ive done almost everything i can think of at the moment and nothing is working. somebody please help, thanks

Windows 8.1 Preview cannot be uninstalled. However, if what you want is to remove Windows completely, start up in OS X, open Boot Camp Assistant (in /Applications/Utilities) and follow the steps to remove the Windows partition.
If what you want is to install the final Windows 8.1 version, read this Microsoft support article > http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-8/update-from-preview

  • I have downloaded Acrobat XI Pro as a 30 day free trial onto my iMac (Yosemite OS).  When I open the program using the Adobe icon, a screen appears showing a number of "ReadMe" files.  How do I proceed from here?

How do I proceed from a screen showing a number of "ReadMe" files in order to open the Acrobat XI Pro program?  I downloaded a 30 day free trial of the program onto my iMac (Yosemite OS).

What is the other file in that folder, not the Readme? Did you actually install the software yet? And did you read the Readme for instructions?

    Carey,
I have tried london1a1's workaround, and it has not made any difference.
It seems that london1a1 suggests changing the Camera.h file in this location:
              Users/london1a1/Documents/DW_NAF/PhoneGapLib/PhoneGapLib/Classes/Camera.h
Whereas you're saying to change the Camera.h file in this location:
              /Applications/Adobe Dreamweaver CS5.5/Configuration/NativeAppFramework/DWPhoneGap/iphone/PhoneGapLib/Classes/Camera.h
I've tried changing the Camera.h file in both locations.  Neither has made a difference.

  • Including a Readme File

My client wants to have a ReadMe file on their DVD (on disc not in the menu). I already included the file as a pdf. but they want to have it on text format. How can I include a file with text on a DVD??
    Thanks

You can add ROM content to your project in a separate folder. Collect all the files you want to include inside a folder in your drive. In the Disc properties in Inspector window you'll find the ROM Content check box. Select it and choose the folder with the files.
That files will be added to your DVD structure and can be reached by the users exploring the DVD as ROM.
    Hope it helps !

In case Jos's assistance doesn't resolve it, maybe this will: Using the example you gave
    for example: "c:\my file system"--->"first_sub_directory"--->second_sub_directory--->"HelloWorld.java"
and assuming that you aren't using a "package ..." statement in HelloWorld.java, and also assuming that the HelloWorld.class file is in second_sub_directory , then you need to mount second_sub_directory in the Explorer. You always mount the parent of the class - or if a package is specified, the parent of the package.

  • CS6 for Mac - Readme file location

Hi guys, i think something went wrong with the instalation of my CS6 on Mac. Where do i access the Readme file? The link to the Readme file provided at the installation does not work. Can anyne help me?
    Thanks

Kaja1983 which Read Me file are you referring to exactly?  What happens if you try to install CS6 on your Mac?

  • I download my acrobat x upgrade but I only get readme files on my mac

but I only get readme files on my mac

I assume you went to http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/product.jsp?product=1&platform=Macintosh. Each update has 2 steps to download and the download should then be automatic. Generally, the updates must be installed in order unless indicated otherwise. However, the downloads should be installation files (not sure about the extension or type for a MAC) and not a text or readme file. I found 2 pages, each with a download button for the downloads. The last one should start the download as I mentioned. If the MAC version of Acrobat is similar to Windows in the update sense, you may be able to do updates from the Help menu within Acrobat.

  • README file opens after every restart??

The hard drive in my iMac died and Apple replaced it under warranty. The new drive was loaded with OS X 10.6. I decided to migrate my user files, applications, settings from my cloned backup (SuperDuper) on my external drive rather than simply copying the backup using SD. I thought this might maintain a more pristine newly installed system. Everything seems to work well except for one aggravating phenomenon. After each restart I get an opened TextEdit "README" document that reads in part: "This README file is copied into the direcgory for GCC-only header files when fixincludes is run by the makefile for GCC.
Many of the files in this directory were automatically edited from the standard system header files by the fixincludes process............"
Why am I getting this message with startups and more importantly how do I fix this so the message does not appear?
    Thanks.
    John

    Neil,
Thanks for the help. I did find an entry for TextEdit in the User Login Items section. I don't know why or how it got there. I suppose it had something to do with using Migration Assistant to move files.

  • Doesn't even begin to install and can't read Readme file

I inserted the DVD in my Mac, but after some whirring, no installation screen came up.
I clicked on the DVD icon, which showed various versions of the Readme file, but when I clicked on the ReadMe, it just opened FIrefox to my home page.
I'm using an intel iMac 10.6.2.
    Thank you for any help!

Thanks! I thought I had tried that, but I also had expected that it would just install since that's what other products on the Mac seem to do.
Thank you again for your help!
