Ready-Made Playlists other than what comes with iTunes

Are there any good web sites that have ready-made playlists (just the names/artists/albums-not the actual mp3 files)?
I heard there was a book of playlists. Does anyone have the url for that book. Are there any other sites that list this kind of stuff?

No. The iMixes are created by users like you and me.
It's mixes they have created out of their own libraries.
Note that when an iMix is put up, any songs in it which are not available on iTMS, will not be shown in the iMix.

Yea you can. Open up your iDisk (if you don't keep it synchronized on your desktop, go to the Go menu in Finder, then iDisk, then Mount My iDisk). In your iDisk, you can put your site in the Sites folder, but not the Web folder; the Web folder is reserved only for iWeb and other Apple apps.
Any sites you put in your iDisk/Sites folder will live at homepage.mac.com/username/site. You won't be able to use .Mac's domain redirection.

When adding music other than what comes with the theme; can you choose a specific section of the music

I have added a song to replace the Revolution's theme music. Is ther a way to set a specific section of the song to play instead of the entire song?

Not with iTunes. If you want a specific part of a track you should edit a copy of the track with a 3rd party audio editor to leave just the portion you want. Then import that clip into iTunes and use in iDVD.

Among optional accessories to be purchased separately, the dock is one (for charging from the AC electricity socket and connecting to computer/hifi/speakers at the same time). More urgently you might want the USB Power Adaptor (connects electric socket to ipod's USB cable) so you can charge the ipod battery without a PC (e.g. when travelling).
I haven't got the dock yet. I hear yes and no answers re whether the sound output to a hifi or to desk speakers is better from a dock (using the wide port) than from the earbud jack (the 3.5mm hole). I have bought the Monster cable that just takes sound from the earbud 3.5mm and sends it to stereo line-in RCA Left and Right plugs, and the sound is pretty good (but not immediately very loud).

Using the battery level meter in this manner is comparable to using your car's fuel gauge to calculate miles per gallon. The only thing that matters is the total amount of operating time from full charge to auto-shutdown.
Use the wall-mount charger that came with the iPad and charge overnight. Do NOT use an iPod/iPhone charger. Do NOT use a computer's USB port. Then, operate it normally until auto shut-down (ignore any low level alerts that may appear). An irony is that doing that test to determine the total operating time is also the procedure necessary to calibrate the battery level meter.
I'm not claiming that you do not have a problem. I am stating, however, that we don't yet know. If the above test does, in fact, indicate a problem, read this.

For proper reporting of the battery’s state of charge, be sure to go through at least one charge cycle per month (charging the battery to 100% and then completely running it down).

Licensing information are not stored in the database but you can get list of components installed using the query below:
select COMP_NAME, VERSION, status from dba_registry;

You are basically limited to what Apple deigns to offer.
Try LibreOffice [free] which has a huge selection of languages.

So is this the way Apple works now? Not solving customers problems? I'm sure so many users have had this problem. I've had, and I reinstalled Mavericks 3 times. Works fine for some days and then several Apple Apps stop working. Is that a way to force us ti update to Yosemite? (I don't want to) and then pay to update some third party programs (i.e. Pro Tools). Also, there are so many 15" MacBooks Pro with graphic problems and of course the guys at the Apple Service Centers always say: "It's the logic board, you can have it replaced, but it's so expensive I would recommend a new Mac". I really, really miss Steve Jobs!
