Real live bugs in my monitor

I thought I was seeing things, but I got my daughter to confirm it. I currently have a real live bug in my monitor! Yes, a thunder fly on the inside of the glass - a tiny insect crawling around INSIDE THE COMPUTER.
I can only see it against a white background and it does not move with the window when I drag the window around the display. It is definitely live and moving. I kid you not.
What I want to know is - will it do any harm? If so, how can I get rid of it?

HI,
One would think it would die of natural causes considering no access to food and water.
Doubt it will do any harm.
thunder fly
I can't pass this up. Similar to a "lightning bug"?

I need a phone # to talk to a real live person about my new photoshop elements 13 PLease??????

I got this by going to adobe.com, searching for Photoshop Phone Support, and following the prompts. (I've never used it, so I have no idea whether it's any good.)
    Good luck.

  • Real Live person?

I have several questions but my main one is this:
I purchased CS5 several years ago for my MacBook Pro and iMac.  My MacBook Pro has been replaced with a new one (it was 4 years old).  Am I able to use the CS5 still?  I have the original packaging and serial numbers, just want to know if I can transfer the creative suite from my old computer to my new.
I would LOVE to talk with a real live person about this and several other questions....is forum my only option?

The forum is likely your only hope for getting real live people (yes, we are real and live) to talk to you though you can always try chat or telephone.  YOur product is likely to be hailed as no longer being supported by those resources though.
You can install the software on the new machine and use your serial number to activate it.  You are allowed to have two activated installations, so if you like you can retain the original machine as a backup.  If not, then you can just open one of the applications and choose Help -> Deactivate to free up the activation for other use sometime.  Do not try to transfer from one machine to the other, it will not work - you need to install.

  • Getting video to play real time in an NTSC monitor question?

I’m trying to get video in my NTSC preview monitor to play real time. It will send a picture to the preview monitor but will not play real time even when timeline is rendered. I’m coming out of the back of my video card (ATI Radeon 9600) through a DVI cable to my HDTV monitor. Do I need a Firewire digital to analog converter box in order to see video in real time? I don’t want to use my camera as a pass through. Does FCE support a second monitor at all during editing?
    Any info greatly appreciated!

Thank you so much for the reply! I just purchased a Firewire Datavideo DAC-6 DV to Analog Video Converter and it even has component out to the NTSC monitor. It will be here on Wednesday! Good to know I can run a preview monitor while editing. Thanks again for assisting me.

  • Launch Pad bug with Multi-Monitors in Mavericks...

I noticed something while trying to use a two monitor setup with Mavericks 10.9. After moving from the primary laptop monitor to the secondary monitor, I noticed that after clicking in the screen to make it the active screen that the LaunchPad gesture would not work. From there I proceeded to drag the pointer down to access the Dock. I noticed after touching the Dock in the secondary monitor, then LaunchPad gesture would work. If I try the LaunchPad gesture before touching the dock, the system brings up LaunchPad in the screen of the previously active monitor. I noticed the same senario when moving from the secondary monitor back to the primary monitor. So, in a nut shell:
1.) When moving from one active monitor screen to another, click in the inactive screen to make it the active screen.
2.) Move pointer to the Dock (wait for Dock to rise).
3.) After the first two steps, THEN the LaunchPad gesture can be used in the now active monitor.
Has anyone else noticed this? Now a big deal but it is an annoyance I cannot believe no one else has seen.

Thank you!  Your solution worked for me.
It seems to be a bug in multimonitors.

  • Proofing bug with multiple monitors (InDesign & Acrobat on Mac)

    Software:
    InDesign CS3 5.0.3 and Acrobat Professional 8.1.2 (Mac OS X Leopard 10.5.4)
Both application does not compensate the onscreen colors when moving document windows to another screen.
I have three monitors: Eizo ColorEdge CG220, 30-inch Apple Cinema Display and 17-inch Apple Studio Display.
The 30-inch Apple Cinema Display is my default monitor (with the menubar). But the Eizo ColorEdge is my color-proofing screen. To get correct onscreen colors on the ColorEdge I have to set it as the default monitor in System Settings. That's a hassle. I hope this bug will be fixed.
    Photoshop handles this perfectly.

    AlFerrari,
My Mac Pro has two graphics card. The 30-inch uses the first one, and the Eizo and 17-inch shares the second card. The graphic cards are identical.
    Gernot,
Photoshop refreshes the colors when releasing the mouse button after dragging a window from another screen. Acrobat and InDesign does not.

  • Interface Bug with 2 monitors in LP8

I use 2 monitors tiled vertically to display a large track layout - in 7.2 I'd have to open the screenset and drag the window across to the 2nd screen - once I did this it would stay in place (across the 2 monitors)
I LP 8 I tried the same thing - only when I select a track on the 1st montor the display reverts and redraws the window to only ONE screen - so for now v. 8 is useless -
Also - I find the legibility is MUCH WORSE with this haze of grey over everything - Looks Like I'll be hanging on to my xs usb keys for a while---
back to work, back to 7.2

I work with 2 monitors all the time - with very large arrangements it's a huge boon. Are you saying if for example you have a linked matrix editor open on the 2nd screen every time you change tracks it shhots onto screen 1?
This would be a disaster for my use of Logic so I hope this isn't the case or if it is it's a soon to be fixed bug!

  • Potential bug with dual monitors running Maverick

When running dual display monitors on a MacMini I have found and can repeat where 2nd display open windows need to be dragged over to the primary display monitor to activate then dragged back before you can actively select or do anything in that window no matter what app you're using. Apple mail is the worst.
Second - primary screen has to be thunderbold monitor to HDMI with the title bars at the top of the primary screen only.
Mirroring has to be turned off, the menu bars can not be on both displays otherwise you can not access the app without dragging it back and forth to activate it. With mirroring turned off - most programs run. BUT Apple mail still does not.
I am using two HDMI ASUS 24 inch monitors running Maverick 10.9 (13A603) on a MacMini: Processor  2.6 GHz Intel Core i7, Memory  16 GB 1600 MHz DDR3, Graphics  Intel HD Graphics 4000 1024 MB.
any solutions? Bug or some setting I should change?

No, there is no way to set it up with two different interface (keyboard & mouse) setups.
Unfortunately, it sounds like your about to become a two or three computer family.

  • Live view on laptop monitor

I'm looking for Canon PowerShot and software that offer ability to conect with laptop, that I can see on monitor what camera lens see. No need for any additional function, just live view window. PowerShot with Vari-Angle LCD may not be helpful cause sometimes camera will be too far away for me to see. (3m is far away for me ) Help!

The Powershot N series allows that on either a tablet or smartphone. The N2 and the N100. You can control and view your camera via WiFi connections.
I think but I cant recall which models but there may be some other models that have live output via and AV or HDMI cable.
One call to Canon might get you the list of models quicker

  • FMS in the real live ?

    Hi there,
I read a lot of good writings about FMS3. I must say i am
very interested to use it for a consumer website.
However, i must say i found surprising not to find any
feedback on real case of FMS3 architecture (or even FMS2 by the
way) ? Is there a place to learn from others experiences ?

    check www.hulu.com (only in US)
    www.cbs.com
    BBC (in UK only)
    tv.adobe.com
www.yahoo.com (not all but at many places like videos in
finance section seems to be streamed)
    live.yahoo.com -for live content.
for more you can browse through many blogs/ sites like
flashcomguru.com etc. or FMS product page.

  • Live on-screen network monitor.

    Hi,
I wonder if anyone know of a network monitor where you can see your network activity live on-screen. What ip's you're connectiong to and which ports you're going through, and vice versa.
Doesn't matter if it is GUI or CLI based, as long as I can monitor my network.

The best i can come up with is NetworkStat
    http://widgetschmie.de/widgets/NetworkStat/
Not quite what your looking for but still useful for being able to email changes in IP address etc... Once you've downloaded it click on the symbols next to you network address's...
    Hope its remotely useful..

  • Is there in fact a real, live MOZILLA TECH SUPPORT PERSON who can respond??

Is there ANYONE out there who can identify and correct the problem causing intermittent non-functionality of my ATT/Yahoo email on FF? Evidently this is indeed a FF issue, as my email works fine with another browser on my Ipad. Does Mozilla in fact have in-house tech support people??
To re-iterate the problem as I described it in this forum a week ago--but to which I had no response--I can open the email page, but it does not refresh to load new emails; I cannot compose and send, cannot delete, and cannot open any folders.
I re-set FF, re-loaded an earlier version (that subsequently up-dated to v.22 on its own), tried System Restore. I spoke with ATT tech support then as well--at least they have live support, for free--and at the conclusion of nearly an hour the problem went away--until today, again--despite the tech's assertion that she did nothing, that perhaps an up-date had not completed loading?
Today I downloaded the FF "Troubleshooter" software--that didn't help, either.
I REALLY would appreciate an upper-level technician from Firefox/Mozilla responding to this--with a solution!
    Thank you!

This is Mozilla's tech support. Like most providers of free software, mozilla doesn't have a dedicated phone support system, but this site is manned by both staff (like me) and community members. You get support for ATT because you pay monthly to use their services.
You should make sure you update to Firefox 23 (22 is out of date and no longer supported), and try all the steps at your previous post ([https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/966272]). Specifically, try a new profile or Reset Firefox [[Reset Firefox – easily fix most problems]].
I'm going to lock this thread since it's a duplicate, and please follow up on your previous thread. Thank you!

  • Crop live-preview on 2nd monitor

isn't working anymore in LR4.2. In LR3 this was a very useful feature and I want it back - do I miss something or was the live-crop-preview removed from LR4?

Yep - when the navigator is on it does!
Nevertheless this is a workaround that shouldn't be neccesary using a pro-software.
Hope this will be fixed in the near furure ...

  • Dead bug behind iMac monitor..

I saw a bug crawl on my screen, so I tried to kill it.. Unfortunately it wasn't on my screen.. It was instead inside my screen. So behind the glass or whatever, there's a dead bug.. And I don't know what to do about it.. Any help? Thanks

you can try to remove the screen/front bezel (not easy) and remove the bug, or if you are unconfortable doing it, bring it somewhere to have a professional do it.
find your model here and see if it has instructions: http://www.ifixit.com/Device/iMac_Intel

  • Live 'Bug" inside my 17" Studio Display

Any reference on-line to opening the Studio Display to remove a tiny bug crawling around inside the clear 'plastic legs' on the Display?
    Thanks!
    ...John

Yes - you can lay the screen face down (on something soft) and take the (3) screws off the stand to remove the stand portion. Then take out all the screws around the edge of the acrylic. Pull off the back acrylic piece and clean and then put the screws back in. Very easy. I just did this with my 23" Display.
