Real Player 6760 slide

Hi all
I am having trouble with real player not supporting some files, and then supporting them again, obviously, not able to play back the files. Is there a way to get this fixed or get an update on the software, or another vidoe player?

Its not a bug, its limitations of the device hardware. Playing avi stream mp4's require a better processor and better graphics acceleration than what is available on the 5800. Using DivX s60 version on 5800 gives rather choppy playback on avi stream mp4 formats because of system and unit limitations.
If you find my post helpful please click the green star on the left under the avatar. Thanks.

  • Real Player N96

    Hi,
I have downloaded some videos from BBC Iplayer and I am wanting to play them back in Real Player rather than the Video Centre App as I cant switch it to full screen on the Video Centre App, any ideas if this can be done ?

Video Center automatically switches to FULL screen.
RealPlayer is in Applications-> Media so you can open RealPlayer there.
IF you open a video from Photos it's also a different UI so you may prefer that.
You can also open videos from File Manager.
Depending on what you use you need to either:
    - Change the orientation to landscape by opening the slide down. OR if you have auto-rotate enabled then just rotate the device.
    - Select Pause then Options -> Continue in Fullscreen
    - Hit the 2 key or the 5 key

    Thanks

    Ok, here we go again:
    THE LIST:
    - ImToo 3GP encoder
    - PSPVideo 9 (Use QVGA profile)
    - AnyVideoConverter, there's a free version and a pro version you can work with the free version
    - Super (as korngear said)
    - Quicktime Pro
    - RealProducer Plus (from real)
    - Nero Platnium
    - Roxio converter
    - Xilisoft
    Nokia tools:
    - Nokia Multimedia player (Choose Save As...) and select the type of video (this is installed with PC Suite so you may already have this)
    - Nokia Video Manager (very simple to use)
    - Nokia Multimedia Converter (you need to register to forum Nokia to use)
There are many, many more converters, but these should get you started.Message Edited by el_loco on 24-Sep-200705:34 PM

  • I have Real Player Plus and with it you are ment to be able to download videos with it from any site bit the download video icon does not appear despite having everything enabled what's going on?

I have got Real Player Plus and one of the features of it is being able to download any video.
Now to do that you mouse on thevideo and a download icon appears on the top right of the video.
Recently it has stopped working. I have all my Real Player plug-ins enabled and the feature enabled on Real Player Plus to recognise FX 3.6.17 but it doesn't work. Whats going on? I am having to use Internet Explorer to use that feature of Real Player.

Noticed some of the comments about the new Verizon tv guide. I concur with the crowd indicating displeasure with the guide. Lots of wasted space on the left side, top and bottom of the new guide. The original guide presented more channels and more times with each screen display. The original guide was quite useful for me, and functioned perfectly fine. I would like the opportunity to choose between the two guides. Change isn't always a good thing.

I have upgraded firefox 4 to firefox 5 but it does not work with real player record plugin 14.0.3......so I want to revert the upgrade to 4....please give me solution or firefox 4

Go to your actual realplayer (program), click the top right button (Realplayer with an downwards arrow) and update your software. Make sure Firefox is closed while you do this.

  • I have updated to Firefox 6 on OS Vista; since then I can't play YouTube videos, operate Skype or Real Player. How do I fix the problem successfully?

YouTube videos seem to load for approximately a second before stopping... and then there is no progress at all. After upgrading to Firefox 6, I received a message saying that it is not compatible with Skype and Real Player (?) and that certain updates could therefore not be performed.
With all due respect, what good is it to upgrade to the latest version of Firefox if popular applications like YouTube and Skype can't operate anymore? I desperately need to solve the problem - if there is no solution other than 'downgrading' to a previous version of Firefox, which version would that be?
Thank you for your time and dedication in sourcing a solution in this regard.
    Regards
    ValleyMan

Uninstall version 6, Google for a download site for version 5.1. Problem solved.

  • Does anyone know a video converter to convert Internet video recordings. Its in an IVR file, I can get it to work on real player on a widows but cant get it to work on my mac.

Does anyone know a video converter for a video file for internet video recordings. IVR file. I can get it to work on real player on my windows but can not open it on my mac.

Try downloading and using VLC. It is a very popular media player that plays just about every file format out there. That way you would not need to convert it.

  • I can't get the websites like youtube, facebook, etc to load. everything comes up as just text/words. i've downloaded adobe flash and real player on windows xp.

i have windows xp. i just got the computer and internet on it. i downloaded adobe flash and real player. but i still can't get sites like facebook and youtube to work. i always get popups that ask if its a trusted site and to add the exception, which i do. yahoo and msn work, i can see photos and pictures and images just fine, but facebook and youtube are still all just words and error messages. any suggestions besides what i've already tried? i'm not tech savvy so step by step is how i learn best!

Check the date and time and time zone in the clock on your computer: (double) click the clock icon on the Windows Taskbar.
Check out why the site is untrusted and click "Technical Details" to expand this section.
If the certificate is not trusted because no issuer chain was provided (sec_error_unknown_issuer) then see if you can install this intermediate certificate from another source.
You can retrieve the certificate and check details like who issued certificates and expiration dates of certificates.
*Click the link at the bottom of the error page: "I Understand the Risks"
Let Firefox retrieve the certificate: "Add Exception" -> "Get Certificate".
*Click the "View..." button and inspect the certificate and check who is the <b>issuer of the certificate</b>.
You can see more Details like intermediate certificates that are used in the Details pane.
If <b>"I Understand the Risks"</b> is missing then this page may be opened in an (i)frame and in that case try the right-click context menu and use "This Frame: Open Frame in New Tab".
*Note that some firewalls monitor (secure) connections and that programs like Sendori or FiddlerRoot can intercept connections and send their own certificate instead of the website's certificate.
*Note that it is not recommended to add a permanent exception in cases like this, so only use it to inspect the certificate.

  • Real player downloader on mac os x 10.5.8

Why I can't use my Real Player Downloader for MacBook 10.5.8, anyone please help me, thanks

If you want to run Windows applications, you need to have Windows installed.
As for Windows Media Player, try Flip4Mac WMV Player from http://www.telestream.net/flip4mac-wmv/overview.htm (Windows Media Player for the Mac is no longer supported, even by Microsoft).

  • Can't download real player file from link

I'm new to the mac world and I am trying to download a real player file (.rm) from a link that is on one of my course websites (I've tried Safari and Firefox). When I "right click" and select "Download File" it just downloads the actual html link, not the file. I'm able to download the file on my PC with no problems. Am I just missing something with the mac?

Are you running RealPlayer 11? That includes a downloader that tells you when a file is actually available for download.

  • I am trying to install Real Player onto my MacBook Pro

Reason is toaccess RTE Lyric FM radio station. I have not had success. if anyone has had similar problems and can offer installation assistance i would appreciate it. thank you.

The site makes it appear you can only use Windows Media Player or Real Player, but that's not entirely true as the stream isn't copy protected and they provide a download url to connect too with other players.
    http://www.rte.ie/radio/how_listen.html
Download the free VLC media player here (donate if you can)
    http://www.videolan.org/vlc/
    Now look on this page
See under the VLC player it says "play in stand alone player?"
If you click that it will download a small file like you see at the top of the picture (it will be in the Downlaods folder)
Now simply right click on that (after VLC is installed ) and open that file with VLC and the stream will play.
Else open it from in VLC via the Network connection.
Some other great free software for codecs you'll come across is
Perian and Flip For Mac, install these two (along with VLC) and your 99% of audio/video needs will be taken care off.
As long as the stream isn't copy protected you don't need Real Player or Windows Media Player, just a gimmick by that radio site. But deep down they want as many listeners as possible.

  • Real Player plugin in use - how to get rid of it?

I tried to play something someone sent me, it required realaudio, I downloaded for free Real player for mac, it didn't do the job, so I tried to trash it, but I keep getting the message above. Anyone knows what to do?
    Max

    Hey there,
Try logging out and in and then re-attempt to trash it or simply restart your Mac to kill any processes that are still using it. And again, re-attempt to trash the application. See if that helps.
You may want to find a third party utility to "uninstall" the application and trash any files on your Mac that are associated with it. I would recommend [AppTrap|http://konstochvanligasaker.se/apptrap> or [AppZapper|http://www.appzapper.com> to help you accomplish this task.

  • How do I convert rmvb (Real Player) files to MPEG?

    Hi,
I have a few .rmvb (Real Player) music video files I'd like to convert to MPEG so that I can watch them on my Apple TV. I've tried ffmpegX and HandBrake both both freeze when importing the rmvb files. Is there not a program that will convert these files?
    Thanks
    -Dean

you might be screwed then.... realplayer files are usually quite hard to re-encode due to the closed nature of the files.
