Real Player Music Store - Cannot Enable Player, a linksys issue?

Hello,
I have a WRV200 which I like quite a bit, and when I try to enable the Real Music Store, which requires a successful install of the helix drm software, the drm does not completely install. I can't access the test files on real.com either. Are there any settings I need to enter to configure the router to accept data from real? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks!
hselburn

You may need to open a port on the firewall. Check the RP site for instructions.
Alternatively, try to find a source not ridden with DRM garbage. You won't be able to move the files with DRM to your iPod, for instance.

  • Failure to access music store via ovi player!!

Has anyone any idea how i get this system back online. In the Ovi player I click the Ovi Music tab, but only get the following message now.

I'm sorry but I get this almost every time myself and the whole service can't be trusted, I'd recommend just not using it whatsoever as it just can't cope with demand, as I was unable to download two albums I purchased either and this was because of the same error and neither the PC or mobile software seems to be able to cope with downloading from the service and I think the servers aren't able to cope.

  • No search in new Ovi Player - Music Store tab

I like the new colors and the functionality of the new Ovi Player. It's faster than the old version, and the initial hiccup with the unstartable version is resolved, but it seems somebody in the development dep't got dazed by the new design and forgot about the functionality.
There's no Search box when you're in the Music Store tab, which means you can't search for music when you're on the store tab...
The browser verision has the search tools above the main store.
I seem to remember there was a search control in the old Nokia Music ver 1.3 above the store window, but I'm sure it's quite gone now

hello, first please go to ''firefox > addons > extensions'' & remove any suspicious entries (toolbars, things that you have not installed intentionally, don't know what purpose they serve, etc). also go to the windows control panel / programs and remove all toolbars or potentially unwanted software from there and do a full scan of your system with security tools like the [http://www.malwarebytes.org/products/malwarebytes_free free version of malwarebytes] & [http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/download/adwcleaner/ adwcleaner].
[[Remove a toolbar that has taken over your Firefox search or home page]]
[[Troubleshoot Firefox issues caused by malware]]
afterwards install the search reset addon - it will revert the most common customizations those adware programs do in firefox back to the default: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/searchreset/

  • My iTunes Music Store Won't Work

My iTunes music store won't work. Ever since I tried upgrading my iTunes, the music store cannot connect. I don't think it is the iTunes itself because I have talked to people and theirs is working fine. Mine worked until I tried to update it. I tried to re-upgrade it but it still won't work.

It's working for me now. If it's working for you too then ignore the next step else go ahead and give it a try.
I uninstalled quick time and then itunes.
Restarted the machine and re-installed the latest update.
    This works! Good luck.

  • ITunes can't connect to Music Store

Ever since upgrading to latest version of iTunes, I've been unable to connect to the Music Store. The message reads "iTunes could not connect to the Music Store. The network connection was refused. Make sure your network settings are correct and your network connection is active, then try again." I can connect to the Internet and have downloaded files from other sites, so the network connection is active. (However, I was not able to download Shockwave from a game site, nor could I use eMusic. Could downloading this latest version of iTunes created a problem affecting these also?) I even removed my virus scan (AVG) and tried to connect to the iTunes Music Store again, but that still did not work. I removed QuickTime and reinstalled it alone, that did not work. I have not removed iTunes and reinstalled it - will I lose my library if I do? It is not backed up because I have videos there and do not have a DVD burner yet. My computer has 42.9GB capacity and 34.6GB free space. Please help!

I downloaded the newest upgrade of iTunes and now my Music Store stuff won't work. I didn't change any login information, etc. What is going on????? Please email me at [email protected], if you'd like. Also, please feel free to answer this like I'm a total moron. I'm not good with technical terms, etc., so I won't be offended if you do. LOL.

'The network connection timed out' can have many causes.
iTunes can't connect to the Music Store after having tried for a number of times.
This document describes a number of possible causes and fixes:
iTunes Music Store: "Cannot connect to the Music Store" error
What happens if you try to connect to the Music Store from within Safari?
Go to this page http://www.apple.com/itunes/ and command-click on one of the songs in the 'Top 10 Songs' pane.
Safari will attempt to open the link in a new tab, but as it is a link to the Music Store, it will open iTunes and go to the Store.
If you use another browser, you can normaly control-click a link and choose to open it in a new tab or new window.

  • Music Store Issue - Blank

Have been in contact with online support, currently unable to sort out issue.   I can only see and download music from the front page of the music store that all shows.  The issue I have is when I want to buy something else not listed, I put the name of the artist/band in and enter, the screen is blank. nothing on it.  Thought it was a flash issue, updated flash, nothing.  Was told to download and run autoruns to find conflicts in some startup thing, but only found bonjour which is apples own, it found nothing else hidden.  I also was told to uninstall and reinstall ITunes, this also did nothing.  I am using Vista, 32 bit system.  I don't know what else to do to fix this problem now.  I think the only other option would be to phone for help, but will only resort to that if I have to.  Any help here would be great and thank you.

Perhaps try the iTunes Store loads partially or returns "Error 306" or "Error 10054" section in the Specific Conditions and Alert Messages: (Mac OS X / Windows) section of the following document:

  • Zen Nano Plus and Real Player Music St

Anyone know how to get .rax files purchased from the Real Music Store to load onto the Nano Plus?

[size="2" face="Comic Sans MS">I have the Real Player Plus version of 0.5, so hopefully your player will have some of the same tools. First, highlight the track you want to convert in Real Player. At the top of the page of your Real Player, click on Tools and you will find Convert Media Format. Click to open? and it should show the track you are wanting to convert and another pane with your options. You will have to use wma or MP3 for your Creative Player. • Media Player & the Sprint Music Store

Is there anyway to listen to the music from the Sprint Music Store on the Media Player?
They are .koz files & I can only play them from the Sprint Player.  That would not be a problem but you cannot run any other apps while the Sprint Player is playing & my Motorola Bluetooth stereo headset looses most of its functions.  When you use the Media Player you can access other apps & all of the functions on the headset work properly.
    Thanks

Same problem here, except that it also happens when the screen security lock kicks in after a few minutes, so even if I wanted to listen to the Sprint Music Store I am limited to a few minutes unless I touch a key before the screen
    security lock kicks in.

  • Hello, Can anyone tell me...if I purchase a music album from the iTunes Music Store, can I download these onto an ordinary mp3 Player, or does it have to have the Apple OS system , i.e. the ipod?

    Hello,
Can anyone tell me....am I able to download music purchased from iTunes store onto a non-apple mp3 device, OR NOT?
I am relatively new to Apple , so am fairly new to the system!
    Thanks!

You can, but you will have to create a new version of the songs that you download from the store (they will be in .m4a format from the store which your MP3 player won't support).
After downloading a song, go into iTunes > Preferences (command-comma) and on the General tab click the 'Import Settings' button and on the next screen change the 'import using' to 'MP3 encoder' (or one of the other options if your MP3 player supports it). To create a MP3 version of your downloaded song(s), select/highlight them in the Music part of your iTunes library, control-click, and on the popup select 'create MP3 version' (the 'MP3' will change depending upon what you've selected as the type on 'import settings' options).
Creating a different version of songs : iTunes: How to convert a song to a different file format - Apple Support
You should then be able to copy the music to your MP3 player in the same way as you normally do.

  • MP3 player for music store

    Hi
We're building a music store for a record label and wondered if anyone could share experiences in getting MP3 to stream. We need something akin to the iTunes simplicity.
IE click a play button and hear x seconds of preview. Nothing more than that. No fancy displays or song titles etc needed.
    Fingers crossed.
    Cheers

  • Moving music from Windows Media Player to iTunes

    Hi
Apologies if this is repeating what others have asked many times in the past - I know what these forums can get like sometimes! I have had a look around though and couldn't find a definitive answer, so...
I have to date put all my music in Windows Media player on my PC. I am now going to buy an ipod so, obviously, I need my music in iTunes.
Is it simply a case of copying the folders from 'My Music' into the iTunes version of 'My Music'? If so, where is the iTunes version of 'My Music'..?!
    Thanks
    Percy

FIrst before I say anything else, As of now its only...6:30am here on the east coast USA (Which means its 3AM in California) so the event has not taken place yet. Apple is very secritive about what there doing, and anything you hear is rumor til apple comes out, says what there doing/announcing and makes it fact.
Now that said, there has been RUMORS (So far) apple MIGHT release some type of new nano and/or video ipod along with an announcement they have made deals with hollywood to start selling movies on there US store.
I just wanted to give you a heads up just incase you was buying today and the rumors turned out to be true. I would of utterly hated for you me or anyone to buy an ipod today, and then later in the afternoon, or tommorrow apple release a new ipod. If that happend to me... I would be Cursing up a storm (Southern slang meaning I would be REALLY UPSET LOL)
Theres alot of news about the event along with rumors that have be heard, just not confirmed by apple yet. One of them is here

  • After Updating to iTunes 7, cannot download from Music Store

Since updating to iTunes 7 I have had trouble downloading from the iTunes Store. At first all was well, I went into the store, bought some tracks, started downloading them and then my router died, cut my connection and halted my download. After sorting out the router and re-connecting to the internet iTunes has started reporting that the network has timed out and cannot connect to the music store.
I can still browse the music store but if I try to log in or download anything I get the error that the network timed out. I have tried multiple things to resolve this including restarting the laptop and router, uninstalling iTunes altogether and reinstalling it, running the Diagnostics in iTunes but to no avail.
In the diagnostics window the first two tests pass ok but the third test seems to fail when a secure connection needs to be made, which would explain why I can browse the store but not download anything or log in because this would require secure connections.

    Ok all is now well.
Basically I checked with BT and there were no problems on the network, the problem had to be somewhere between my router and iTunes. Next I checked if I could download anything from another computer using my internet connection and the same thing happened so that isolated the problem to router. I then checked the firmware on the router and this was up to date so I then wondered if there might be some dodgy registers within the router that maybe corrupted so I performed a factory reset of my BT Home Hub, but alas that didnt fix anything (unless your connection is running <200Kb/s then it fixes everything, but thats another story, if in doubt reset it!) Anyway, I was putting all my settings back in and realised the Home Hubs Firewall had been activated and as soon as this was disabled, hey presto! iTunes magic returns!
I have since realised that the reason the router may have randomly cut out in the first place was to upgrade the firmware of the Home Hub, hence the sudden blockage of iTunes by the reactivated firewall.
Since correcting this I have had no trouble using iTunes 7, no issues with music or connecting my 4Gb iPod Nano. To all those who are struggling with this I suggest you update your iPods firmware to the latest version to ensure it is compatible with iTunes 7.
Respond here if anyone else needs help.

  • TS3297 I recently purchased music form i tunes; the music downloaded to my computer into a file. I am unable to put this music into my media player on my computer. if I purchased this music why is it not mine?

I am unable to move file out of i tune to media player list, what must i do?

Are you using a Mac (as indicated in your profile information) or Windows (as in the forum in which you posted this)?
iTunes is a media player.  What other media player are you trying to use?  Nothing is stopping you from moving it unless you have unusual special settings on your computer or the player you are trying to use cannot play the file format (AAC) in which all iTunes music is supplied.
