Real Player - Nokia 5800

Hi all,
While watching Videos on the Nokia 5800, the three buttons/keys  and the  Media Key stays on "Light On".
Its rather irritation while watching movies when its dark.
Is there any way to turn them off. ? ? ?

  • Watching youtube in real player - Nokia 5730 smart...

does anyone know why i go to youtube in the internet browser and it opens up real player and says downloading 0% at the top of the screen and just sits there - until finally it says 'video not saved. save now?'  thanks.

Any ideas? Anybody has your favorite Nokia by design and performance? Do you think that other companies like HTC, MAC, BlackBeary, Samsung will bring down Nokia?

  • Flash player - nokia 5800 expressmusic

    Dear all,
Mind to ask, is there any place to download the flash player?  Im currently cant go the movie at one web site, which i need to stream the video.

    hi planetmike,
    Thanks for the replies.
I did check it it says all apps. are uptodate.
you got 5800xpressmusic too? could you check any of the above sites I mentioned above and how is it going to you?
I've tried my homebroker website at the morning from my phone. I's a really basic website, no flash on it at all, only javascripts, very simplistic and efficient website with real stockmarket data and stuff... It freezed down after a couple of clicks, when I tried to get some graphs out from my stocks. So guess the built-in browser just doesn't work well. I mean there are no settings that could be changed in the favor of downloading special data or apps or something, isn't it? I've pop ups blocked but everything else, like cookies and all content and java enabled. Nothing else I can set really.
Trying to free up some space on the phone memory also, moving my mailbox over to memory card. Nothing else I could move over the rest is all hidden files I dont wanna bug those. At the time of browsing I dont have any other apps open either so it couldn't be that not enough memory available.
In a couple of days hope I can figure out something because the broswer always quitting on me

  • Nokia 5800 Real Player Question

I noticed something weird. The real player is an application that is built to play rmvb files right? I mean rmvb is real media video sumthing right? The real player on my 5800 (installed upon purchase) plays the rmvb file's audio pretty nice, but the video pixelizes and lags behind all I can see are big unmoving squares despite the video being at 300+bitrate and 640x480 resolution! Now I'm currently using Xilisoft Video converter, but for some reason the audio doesnt come over when the vid is converted to mp4 and is played on my phone. it registers as 'no audio'.
    HELP???
If you find my post helpful please click the green star on the left under the avatar. Thanks.

Wow, it's incredible that RMVB of VGA resolution play at all. I've only had success at QVGA resolution (320x240) and 128 kbps or 256 kbps maximum.
I haven't found any reference anywhere as to what are the capabilities of the RealVideo decoder in the S60 v5 software but I'm pretty sure that what you're trying to play is well beyond the capabilities of the device unfortunately.
As to why Xilisoft doesn't encode the video, I don't know, you'll need to contact Xilisoft. Does the converted video have any audio at all, check the video properties on the PC?, maybe Xilisoft doesn't support the format of the video.
640K Should be enough for everybody

  • Bbc i player on nokia 5800

hi can any one help i have a nokia 5800 installed the bbc i player worked fine for a week then stoped working, when you press click to play button nothing happens.just stays on the same screen.i have installed the latest firm were still wont work.

Hi, iPlayer will only work with Vodafone, 3 and wifi. If you're having a problem, uninstall it and re-install the latest version from the BBC. I believe installing one app over the other doesn't work, and a clean install may solve your problem.
    Good Luck

  • Real player video sreaming setting of nokia 6681

    hi dear,
i hv a NOKIA 6681 mobile phone, every thing is okey except the REAL PLAYER video streaming, thats why im not able to play any internet video stream through my phone, so plz tell me about REAL PLAYER setting.
I vll be thanks full to u

Thanks we are not kids anymore & wiz for that matter! Most likely that video clip is not supported by your phone multimedia player. You have two option:
    1. Convert that video clip first to a format which the phone support before transfering to phone say the Nokia Media Converter(it converts some but not all video files to 3gp), or any free video converter available on the net(use your search engine(e.g. google, yahoo etc)).
    2. Install a 3rd party multimedia player for phone like the CorePlayer which support almost all format available.
    Hope it helps!

  • Nokia N82 Real Player

Can I update Real Player in my Nokia N82?
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

no you can't. baseline updates to RealPlayer in older Symbian devices such as yours were only made possible by firmware updates. so you can check via Nokia suite if your phone is up to date and unfortunately, thats as good as you're going to get.

  • Nokia N91 --- Real Player

Hello to all . I have been configuring my phone for a week now to get the rtsp stream (rtsp://y101.mozcom.com/y101) but to no avail . Ive checked the stream with my pc and works fine . Ive got the default settings for my real player and I really dont know why i cannot get it when its a straightforward process. Ive tested both using the WIFI access and the O2 network . My phone works fine with http . If anyone can get a real player stream right , pls let me know and your real player settings pls . Thanks a lot .
    Earl

You need 3rd party application to run AVI video files.
    Available players are:
    1. Smartmovie with converter from www.lonelycatgames.com. It aint a freeware but with good quality.
    2. Divx Player from www.divx.com. It is freeware but quality is not bad.
Also there is a player called core codec core palyer that plays vast range of media files but it works bad in N91, it skips, hangs etc.
    It aint a freeware. www.corecodec.com
    ===============
    Your last information is wrong.
    N91/N91 8GB plays:
    MP4 with h.263, h.264, mpeg4 codec.
    3GP with h.263, mpeg4 codec.
    Real Media 8,9 and 10.
    =================
If you are bit angry why nokia did not put such important container in this phone than try this:
    Download SUPER from www.erightsoft.com
    It is a freeware.
This converter will allow you to play hi quality H.264/AVC format video file.
Or you can download ImTOO MPEG Encoderfrom www.ImTOO.COM
    This is a shareware.
    Settings:
    Video Container: MP4
    Video Codec: H.264
Resolution: 176*144 (Please note that N91 plays H.264 Hi quality videos with only QCIF resolution; so 176*144 is a must).
    Frame Rate: 14.985.
    BitRate: 768.
    Audio: AAC with 64 kbps.
    ================
Now you are ready to enjoy hi quality h.264 videos on your N91! Which is neva worse than AVI!!!
Loco, I will send you a video I made for my N91 with h.264.Message Edited by korngear on 27-Nov-200708:20 PM

  • Music player locked (Nokia 5800 XpressMusic)

Hello all. I've got a Nokia 5800 XpressMusic whose software I've just updated via Ovi Suite. The phone seems to work OK, but the media player (well, the music player to be exact) does not. My music library doesn't show up, and whenever I tell the phone to update the media library, it begins to work, and locks when it reaches 140 music files, everytime. Then it becomes unstable, sometimes I can close it but sometimes I must remove the battery for the phone to became usable again.
I'm using software V50.0.005,  custom version 50.0.005.201.13, language group 09, model 5800 XpressMusic, Type RM-356.
Any help there? Thanks in advance.
    Solved!

Well, I've searched deeper in the forums, and found how to solve this. All it needed was a hard reset, after a backup, of course. It is now working like a charm.

  • NOKIA N95 REAL PLAYER DOWNLOAD

    CAN ANYONE HELP.
I HAVE DOWLOADED MOVIE CLIPS FROM THE NET TO COMPUTOR,WHEN I TRANFER TO PHONE, I GET MESSEGE "FEATURE NOT SUPPORTED" BUT YET IT IS ON REAL PLAYER,WHICH I HAVE ON MY PHONE.
I AM REALLY A NOVICE ON THIS.
    CAN SOMEONE PLEASE HELP.
    AZIM

There are different variants of the "real media" format, and you may have gotten some that aren't compatible with the phone's player. Try converting them to some other format (MPEG4 etc) on PC and then transfer them to the phone.
