I'm new to SAP and forums too. I'm extremely sorry if this is the wrong place to ask my queries.
I'm under going training in BO and would like to know what kind of projects generally handled. I mean as I have little knowledge in BI , In BI there are basically 3 kinds of projects or roles
End to End
Support and Maintenance
Migration or UPgradation projects.
In the same way I would like to know kind of projects in BO and day to day activities of the consultants.
Plz excuse me for my ignorance, I would also like to know if universe is designed based on real tym or dummy and what kind of reports are generated on day to day to basis depending on client or project

Roles vary depending upon which part of the BOBJ product stack you are using.
Basic reporting roles use Webi, Xcelsius and Crystal in varying combinations
Development roles will use CMC, Data Services, Designer and reporting tools in varying combinations
Administrator roles will use CMC, server admins skills, etc. in varying combinations
Those are three examples of roles with the BO world. The size of company you work for may also dictate the scope of your role - in a big organisation, you will more likely have a tighter role - just universe design perhaps, whereas in a smaller organisation you could be doing everything from gathering reporting requirements through to database development, ETL work and DBA tasks!
It's that variety that keeps the job interesting though.

I am new to XI, I have some doubts about real time xi project related activities.
1. Who will be responsible for preparing the minutes of meeting? (XI Developer/Team Lead/senior consultant etc)
2 In usual Dev->QA->Prod project cycle...
Where would the Configuration and Version Control come into picture?
Who is responsible for configuration process of the developed objects?
How the configuration process would be in real time XI project? Are we needed to use any external configuration/version control tools like VSS etc..?
3. I come across the terms like Legacy Systems, Third Party systems, SAP systems, Non-SAP systems, Web Systems.
In real time project, can you please answer with few names for each type of systems above I had mentioned? I know this depends on landscape of the project. But I would like to know how the names of these systems would be in real time.
Like .. for Legacy systems --> Mainframe/AS-400 etc (Pls correct me,if i am wrong).
These questions could be very basic questions for Experts. Please answer these questions.

In general , TL will prepare and rest of all seniors will approved/ signed if it is senior level meeting , Offcourse it depends upon the meeting .

Yes Configuration will be the developer or the senior for interface configuration / basis for SLD configuration

I recently purchased FaceTime from the Application Store. After approx. ±10 meg, the application resets and starts downloading again. I have tried to download it at different times of the day but with the same results. I have been in contact with Apple support and have tried different options with the same result. I cannot download a new Version because in my Purchased List the applicaiton (FaceTime) is still there, and because I have halted it it tells me to resume. I can’t, because the same thing is going to happen. I have tried all the various troubleshooting tips supplied by my ISP and also Apple Support with no luck. I am currently working on a IMac OS 10.6.7. Has anybody got any ideas? Any suggestion would help. Thanks

Not much consolation but even new products can have issues and might need a trip to a store to return/replace.
The reason i asked about the LED on the AppleTV is that occasionally it thinks it's paired with a specific remote and ignores others - the unpair keypress I described is quick and free.

Changing the default event time to all-day in Month View?

I updated to Mavericks today, and when I went to add an event to my Calendar, I discovered that all-day was not the default time. In Mountain Lion, when going to add an event in Month View, it was automatically set to all-day, which is perfect because all of my events are all-day events. Now, it's being set to 9:00 to 10:00, and I have to check the box to make it all-day. I know that this isn't much work, but when I'm adding dozens of events it starts to get a little annoying.
Calendar 7.0, OS X 10.9 (Mavericks).
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I don't think that it is possible, even using Terminal. If you want to change your workflow, "all day" events can easily be created in the Day/Week view, but as you stated the Month view poses a problem.

In Day or Week view, double-click in the “All-day” section at the top of the calendar.
An existing event last all day:
In Day, Week, or Month view, double-click the event, click the date, then select “All-day.”
A multiday event:
In Week view, drag from the start time to the end time. You can drag across multiple days.In Day or Month view, create an event. Then, enter the start and end dates and times.
An all-day event into a multiday event:
In Week view, drag the all-day event across multiple days.

My cell phone will not back up properly to my laptop. I have tried three times in two days as I knew I was getting my new phone today and wanted to save all my information. The problem is that it backed up very random things like things from my IPod from years ago, and did not back up all the information it should have from my "old" cell phone. Now I am missing almost everything. What happened and can i fix this?

First, make sure you are using the most current version of iTunes 11.1.3 (8). Second, what version of iOS 7 was your old phone running, i.e. 7.0, 7.0.1, 7.0.2? If your back-up was made with a version of iOS that is newer than the version on your new phone, it will not sync. For example, if your back-up was of a phone running iOS 7.0.4, and your new phone was running 7.0.2 out of the box, the back up will not sync to the new phone until it is updated to iOS 7.0.4.

How can I set a passcode that is only required at certain times of the day. Ie: my child needs access for school use, but don't want her playing iPad in the middle of the night. I cannot identify a way to have the iPad turn off or require a password

I cannot find a way to enable my child's iPad to require a passcode only at certain times of the day.
Yes I have used the clock/timer/ countdown - great to restrict how many minutes of iPad usage they get a day.
But as my child requires the iPad in school for class lessons the usage at school varies maybe 30 mins 1 day and a few hrs on other days
I want the ability to say set the iPad to not work between say 7pm and 7am, ( unless a passcode is entered) so my child isn't playing games on it in the middle of the night...
Apple I cannot see anything in the settings that performs this function

You can Remote Lock his iPad with Find My iPad using a computer at whatever time you like.

How do you set a calendar alarm for a specific time on the day of the event without it being an all-day event

Does anyone know how to set a calendar alert at a specific time on the day of the event.
So that the alert date adjusts accordingly if you were to copy and past it to another date.
The custom alert function kind of does this, but because it is an absolute alert (not relative) it will still refer to the date you initially set it to when you copy and paste it to another date. So this creates more work where you would have to go and manually change all the custom alerts. I have potential

Greetings: Set the alarm to message you (on your screen) and then snooze it every day for 15 days, or, set 15 separate alarm messages. There is probably an AppleScript somewhere on the web too, try searching that way as well.

I use Week Cal on the iPod. I think it was only $1.99. It is a lot better and does a lot more than the one that came with the Palm Pilot.
As you know, unlike the Palm Pilot, the iPod does not come with a desktop application that you can sync your iPod calendar to. Since I don't use Outlook, I have to use a Cloud based calendar to sync with my PC. I use Hotmail's calendar for that. (If your computer is a MAC, you can use iCal)

Thru out the afternoon, I have been playing hide-and-go seek in Goggle and Apple Discussions. I am searching for an Apple "Day-Timer" "Day Runner" "Day Planner" type product. I use iCal and Address Book ... they don't offer the variety of features on several PC planners.
It would be wonderful to find an Apple application which I can use on my MacBook (#1 priority) and iTouch. Hope it is out there & someone can point me in the right direction.

What are those features? If you don't tell us, we can't give appropriate recommendations. (Especially since I'm not sure what a "day timer" and "day runner" are.) If iCal does not fit the bill, you will have to look to a third-party, as iCal is Apple's only entry in the calendar market.

Two problems, disconnecting and extremely slow internet at a certain time of the day.

My first problem started to occur since the beginning of this year, after I've upgraded from 1MB/s to 3MB/s. EVERYDAY at 2:39 PM EST or sometime around there, my internet would disconnect (most common at 2:39). It would take some 5-20 minutes to reconnect by itself. I go to 192.168.1.1 and go to broadband connection and press disconnect, then reconnect to get myself back on asap. It would take me a few tries disconnecting and connecting to get the internet back up. I probably do disconnect during other times of the day, such as night time but I don't notice it as much because I am not using the computer at the time.
My second problem is slow download speed at night. As I said, I have a 3000/667 kb/s connection. My internet connection speed is normal during the day time .. but when I ran a speed test during night time, I get around 333 kb/s download and 600 kb/s upload. So, my download speed drops significantly at night and my upload speed is normal.
I am using a D90-327W15-06 modem and I am not using a wireless connection.

P.S Sorry if this is a lot to read, I wanted it to be as much detailed as possible.

#1 Is wireless in the router enabled?
#2 If so, to question number one above: What level of wireless security is it set to ( WEP / WPA )?
#3 Did you try connecting your modem to the NID?

How do I schedule a task at a specific time of day, every day?

I am trying to use Timer and TimerTask to schedule an event at specific time of the day. It will basically stop all the logging archive the log file and start a new logfile.
I am just having trouble with scheduling it for every day at specific time (I am new to java and have not worked with date and time much). If someone can point me to some sample code or show me a brief example I would really appreciate it. I am about to pull my hair.

I assume you use the swing class. As you suggest, to schedule an event you have to use a timer. The delay of the timer can easy be calculated using GregorianCalendar objects. Create one for the current date/time by instantiating an object. Create a second and set the date to the next schedule date/time. Retrieve the milliseconds from both objects and calculate the differences.

Take your Mac to a location with a fast, relaible Internet connection that will be all yours during the duration of the download.
If you want to complain, PLEASE call Apple and do so.
Internet only downloads of OS X is completely stupid, it assumes everyone has reliable Internet everywhere and /or no data caps.

Time capsule? Firstly I want to know if you can update your back-ups on a day-to-day basis? And is it possible to update another/different MacBook everyday from that same back-up?

The situation is my parents have a business and each have a MacBook, they want a system where they share files with each other. BUT they want it to be done automatically on a day to day basis. For example if my dad creates a quotation for a client of his, and my mom wants to come home with the laptop to work on this file. What must happen is that before my dad leaves, he backs up his MacBook to the Time Capsule (only the new files get updated) and then my mom will then click a button and it will update the new files that my dad has backed up to the Time Capsule. BUT it should also work the other way around.
So in short they want a system where whatever new files they create on their MacBook will be saved on the other MacBook simultaneously.
They do not want to create a central server where they manually have to go and save and fetch new files, they want it to be automatic. They want to in layman's terms, work on one pc image with two actual computers.
Is this even possible?? I would really appreciate it if someone could help me in this matter before my dad goes and spends a lot of money on something that might not even be feasible.

I understand what you want.. but it is the wrong way to do it.
You will get into a mess with using TM this way. It is designed for backup of individual machines.. you are trying to use it for a file server.
They do not want to create a central server where they manually have to go and save and fetch new files, they want it to be automatic.
The ironic thing is you are trying to use Time Machine as a central server.. only it is not.
A central server is exactly the right way to do it. But it can be done automatically.. you just use some synchonisation software. (Central server means you all work on the same files and you have centralised backup)

Using some cloud method would be the other suggestion.. but I am not sure exactly how to do it. I have lousy internet so cloud is really too hard to use for storage.. but Apple do lots of stuff to help people with cloud to synchronize fies.

The Adobe auto updater is highly unreliable.
You need to look for and download the update yourself and then manually apply it as per the detailed instructions on the download page:
