  • Real time requirement of XI

can any one tell me the real time requirement of XI, and what r the buisness need in which the client will prefer to go for XI, and some real time scenarion or situation in which XI can is used .

    Hi Santhosh,
The XI comes in to picure depends on the business Requirements.
Let's take an example suppose a Company XXX it's having several branches in few areas..this company may be using SAP Systems and the comapny may be having different vendors..the vendors may be using different systems..let's assume the vendor is not having SAP systems their Landscape...eventhough the Comapny XXX want to communicate with the vendors...that time they cannot communicate each other...they can communicate each other their business process only by using XI.
Here Comapny XXX having SAP System their Landscape and the Vendor using a web application...in this scenarion the communication done by using any EAI tool.We are using XI EAI tool to communicate each other.
    Hope I am Clear.
Please let me know if you have queries?
    Thanks and Regards,
    Chandu.

  • Help required on ALE/IDocs

    Hi,
I am facing an issues related to IDocs, where in an Idoc is being sent from the sender to receiver system.
However, when I see the Idoc on the receiver system, I find that some fields in some of the segments are set to '/'.
The data that I can see in these fields in the sender system and are visible here and are set to '/'.
Could any one help out here and suggest where this could be happening?
(I checked the filtering and coversion rules and there's nothing happening there on these fields)

  • ALE IDOC's Real Time Scenarios

    Hi Friends,
Can anyone get me some real time scenarios in ALE IDoc's.
    Please help me out .
    Thank You.
    Patil

    HI Patil
You can try out any of the following
    Transfering Master Data like
    1.  Material Master
    2.  Customer Master
    3.  Vendor Master
                   etc..
For this You need to Activate the Change Pointer through IMG SALE...for the repective MESSAGE TYPE say Material Master MATMAS
    After That creat Material (MM01)
After that go to SE38 Run the Report programm <b>RBDCPMIG</b> to created Master IDOC and Communication IDOC...And if All Your ALE Settings are correct .. it will transfer the IDOC to Other Client....or R/3
    YOu can also try
Creation of purchase Order what has been explained in above reply..
You can also try out this scenario instructed in this Quick refrance Guide.....

  • Real time business functionality using SAP Xi and hardware included????

    Hi All,
I am quite new to sap-xi. i have practised some of the scenarios that can be done with xi.
I was just trying to visualise some of the real time business requirements where SAP XI is used.
    For example
Some may have used Sap XI to transform data between file server and SAP system or may a web serve asking for details from sap system to display datas or some times sap xi systems sits betweem an integration server (like biztalk etc) and sap system.
Can anyone of you can give me some of the real time requirements you have dealt with over the years
in terms of business functionality and servers involved in the whole system?
    Thanks

  • How do I generate a compiled app with a user interface running real-time?

    Hi everyone,
I've developed a simple application that uses a PXI chassis to run.  It toggles some discretes and does some simple things, but it doesn't really have any "real-time" requirements.  We're just using the PXI chassis because we have it and we need the discrete I/O.
My question is this - how can I convert this application to a compiled real-time app and yet maintain the front panel on the local PC.  LabView appears to simply do this for me.  I am connected to the real-time target via ethernet.  When I compiled the program, it puts it in the target's startup directory, but how do I run the front panel from the local PC?
    Thanks,
    Jason

    Hi Jason,
Below are some links that should get you started with deploying an application onto your real-time target and then controlling it from a PC that does not have the LabVIEW Development environment:

  • Desing requriment for processing the IDOC in real time

    hi Gurus,
we have a requirement to design for processing the IDOC in real time i.e.all the IDOC must be store and process for give time line with out using BPPM tool.we have suggested to use cache storage or storing the files in file adapter.
please suggested good process with out compromising the Performance of PI.
    regards
    shankar

    hi Raj,
Please find the example below for your reference
    let say
    System A-->PI--
    >system B
system A sends multiple files based on time(daily or weekly) and real time( as an when the record created) to systerm B (CRM) in the form of IDOC Via. PI
we needs to club the real time files and send it to system B.How best we can do without using BPM.
    regards

  • Real time idoc to file scenario - URGENT!

    Hi all,
I have a real time idoc to file scenario with the idoc structure as below:
    WP_PLU03
       IDOC
         Begin
         EDI_DC40
         E1WPA01
            E1WPA02
Now as can be seen, EDI_DC40 is the header record common for the eniter idoc. But the segment E1WPA01 will repeat for each item sent from R/3. E1WPA01 in turn has many segments within it whcih corresponds to that one item.
Now the problem i am facing is, I did the mapping for all required fields from E1WPA01 to my file structure and it works fine if i send one 1 instance of E1WPA01. But when i send multiple instance of E1WPA01 for each item, my result in teh file should be 1 line of record for each E1WPA01. But this doesnt happen. It takes allE1WPA01 as 1 and gives only one record in the file.
How can this be overcome? this is a very common requirments? did i miss anything in the configuration?
    Thnaks,
    Yash

    Hi Matias,
I have two instances (may be much more than 2) of the same segment in the idoc (E1WPA01) and each instance should create a new root in the target message structure as in the link below
    Link: [http://img299.imageshack.us/my.php?image=image3ct6.png]
I have mapped the segment E1WPA01 with the root like this:
    Link: [http://img176.imageshack.us/my.php?image=image2of6.png]
Hence it creates 1 root for each segment. But for complex mappings such as:
    Link: [http://img337.imageshack.us/my.php?image=image1yu1.png]
the 2 input parameter to the UDF - KONDART and KONDWERT - the queue can be seen. the problem which i m facing here is in this queue, values from both the instnace of the segment E1WPA01 is taken together where each instance should be processed seperately. The first 4 values in the top queue(till VKP0) belongs to the filed KONDART of the 1st isntance of the segment and the 1st 4 values of the below queue (till 17) belongs to the field KONDWERT. Similarly the remaining belogns to the other segment. My logic in UDF is built taking only one instance at a time. Is there anyway i can distinguish between the two instance within my UDF?
I hope u understand my problem here.
    Thanks,
    Yash

  • Technical requirement's for ALE/Idoc

    Hi all,
    Am new for ALE/IDOC
we have requirement for ALE inbound and outbound scenarios ,
what are the mandatory requirements(port, partner profile, message type ..etc) from technical point of  view for Technical consultants,
    Regards
    Suresh.D

Here is the step-by-step configuration approach in ALE.
    - Create logical system (txn BD54)
    - Assign client to Logical system (txn SCC4)
    - Create RFC destination (txn SM59)
    - Generate ports (txn WE21)
    - Create partner profiles (txn WE20)
    - Create distribution model (txn BD64)
Now you can use the required transactions like BD10 (to send materials), BD12 (to send customers), BD14 (to send vendors)....which would create the IDocs. You can view the generated IDocs via txn WE02 as you note down the system time when the IDocs are generated. You can use txn BD87 too to trace the IDocs at the sender...
If idoc is in status 51 or 52 process by program RBDMANI2 or in transaction BD87, If idoc is in 64 status process the idoc by program RBDAPP01.

  • IDoc not getting processed in Real Time job

    Hello,
The configurations are done as per the below link to receive iDoc from SAP in BODS.
How to Receive IDOC in BODS from SAP (Outbound to SAP)
An iDoc is sent and Real Time Services on management console shows that request is received successfully. But I cannot see output xml file created. When I checked the real time services and client interfaces, I could see all are in green.
But the real time job status shows its in running state. It has been in running state for 2 days. Trace shows as below. There is no error message.

Can anyone please let me know if there is anything missing in the configuration? How do I resolve this issue?
    DS version: 4.2

    Hi,
Try to reimport the metadata of IDOC into PI in idx2. Also check the port definition in ECC and whether the segment is released or not. Please go through the below discussions it may help you.
EDISDEF: Port XXX segment defn E2EDK35 in IDoc type ORDERS05 CIM type
IDoc 0000000000181226 was saved but cannot or should not be sent

  • How to create idoc in real time

    hi guru
how to create idoc in real time
    thanks
    subhasis

    Hi sahoo,
To Create Idoc we need to follow these steps:
    Create Segment ( WE31)
