Really annoying problem... if anyone could help that would be great
everytime i click to add folder to import an cd album on my comp, it always imports double the amount of songs into itunes. i.e. if i try to add a album on my comp with 13 songs, then it will import 26 songs into itunes, and I will have a duplicate of each song. any help on this problem would be greatly appreciated....

Hmmm, do your album folders have duplicate songs in them? It's probably a dumb question but I don't know the whole story. And also, in your album folders, are there any kind of 'System Information' files or '.cue's in them?
As an alternative to your importing issue, I say go to the folder manually, highlight all the songs you want to import, and then drag and drop into your iTunes music library. Make sure, however, that "Music" under "Library" (on the left task pane) is highlighted or that a custom playlist of your own is highlighted. I say this because you can not add new songs to smart playlists which are, for example, the "Recently Added" or the "Recently Played" smart playlists.

My ipad 3 is frozen on the plug into itunes page - it won't turn off or on - just stuck. I have tried to follow advice I have found on these pages but I don't know how to connect the ipad to my mac (the advice is to connect ipad to mac and there is no usb port on an ipad). I think you should probably also read the iPad User Guide. You didn't say what version of iOS your iPad is running, so here's the links to both the iOS 6 and iOS 7 (PDF) versions:

this is the lattest ipod touch and its 32 gb
well when i click restore it says itunes cannot contact the ipod update server because im not connected to the internet but as ive said bbefore i already am connected but when i click on it it also comes up with a little box and its called (Dial- up Connection) and it wont connect

I use a Mac. OS X.
I click on the Firefox icon to go online.
It opens up the drive that I originally used to install the update(3.6.15). I have to select open because it is an unknown application.
Firefox opens to the homepage.
I try to eject the drive.
It says "The disk 'Firefox' cannot be ejected because 'Firefox' is using it. Quit the application and try to eject the disk again."
I do that.
The same thing happens again and again.
I try to download the update again.
Same thing.
I won't download the Firefox 4 RC because it makes my online browsing very slow.Make sure that Firefox gets installed properly.

i´m trying to do a proyect that requires modulate and demodulate a text in QAM. i´ve been trying this for days but i can´t come up with a solution, I can not retrieve the text I am modulating and i do not understand why. I am new to using Labview and would appreciate some help.

everytime I open qt pro i have to enter the registration code. This is really annoying. Does anyone know how to rectify this problem?
This procedure will check for files in your home folder that are locked or have a wrong owner. It makes no changes and will not, in itself, solve your problem.
Launch the Terminal application in any of the following ways:

i have recently purchased an ipod touch 5th generation ipod for my girlfriends daughters! im trying to sync some music onto the device but it is not been recognized on itunes. i have the device plugged in but i cant find the device on itunes! I have plugged my phone in to check if its the cable but the cable is fine as my iphone synced up perfectly! wondering if anyone could help me out??

When iWorks for iCloud Beta become available I subscribed to it. After that I become unable to access iCloud at all as in all my devices I get messages to install it and other apps (find my phone, etc) that are already active. Anyone could help?
The first time an iPhone is connected to iTunes that is used to sync with another iPhone or iOS device, you are prompted to transfer the backup for the other iPhone or iOS device or to set up the iPhone as a new iPhone.
The former does as provided - it transfers the backup for the other iPhone or iOS device to the iPhone replacing all data on the iPhone that is included with the backup being transferred. The latter does nothing allowing you to make your various selections for the iPhone sync preferences with iTunes.
This is designed to be done right away with a new iPhone.
If you don't have a backup for the iPhone with iTunes on your computer and don't have an iCloud backup that hasn't been updated since choosing to transfer the backup for your iPod Touch to the iPhone, the data that was on the iPhone is gone. -
How do I get more effects in my action box? I am only showing a few, like "Bottom Borders, Losing Weight, Resize and Crop, and Special Effects. And they do not list but a few effects. When I have watched the tutorials, they are showing a long list of effects in the action box. (with a side space bar) I do not. When I have clicked on the little arrow at top, and clicked "Load Actions", a box comes up, but it is blank,saying "no items match your search". I'm lost! If someone could help, it would be much appreciated! I would like to start using this.

Hi, Firefox on my desktop keeps crashing at just random moments. Sometimes not very often at all, but other times it can happen a few times within an hour.
My Desktop Window Manager also crashes regularly and the dialogue box always pops up saying its stopped working. However, this doesn't seem to effect anything.
It could be realated though, as I just had this desktop built a few weeks ago and a few times it's crashed as well as programs.
If anyone can help me fix this issue with Firefox, that would be great. Thanks in advance.Hi,
I updated the Flash plugin, but I still keep getting crashes.
I will try to disable the hardware acceleration in the Flash Player as you recommended and hopefully this will work.

Connecting via Airport express: really annoying problem
I've got a really annoying problem that doesn't make much sense. Have an airport express and my network seems to work OK mostly. My iBook can always connect, never any problem. My eMac however is behaving bizzarely. The longer I'm connected, the worse my connection gets. Until it stops working altogether and I can't access the internet at all. System preferences tells me the Airport card is on, but is not connected to a network. Can still connect to it with the iBook.
Shut down, leave it a good while (a good while too, a short shut down doesn't do it), and it works again.
I can't even think where to start looking, all I can think of is that I have a problem with the Airport card in the eMac (something getting hot in there perhaps). Any ideas?Thanks,
I'm pretty sure the card is seated properly (it works most of the time after all). I couldn't get it to work when I installed it because it wasn't seated properly, I pushed it in as far as it could possibly go and it has worked since (except after extended periods of use). The Airport express is three feet from the eMac with only a couple of bits of wood between them. The connection does not go down at times which I can link with the use of any particular appliances (When the eMac stops working, the iBook is always fine, even in a similar position). It is the apparently time-dependent aspect that I can't figure out (I only notice it on those, fairly infrequent, occasions when I am online for a few hours at a time). The eMac discussion group is a good tip. Ta. -
Really really annoying problem with slooooow Adress Book
I have a really, really annoying problem with Address Book.
Ever since I connected it with the MobileMe service it has this problem, and I just cant get rid of it. I have tried logging out and back into the MobileMe service, resetting the sync history etc., but to no avail.
Each time I open the application it freezes for about 5 to 10 seconts, then that blooming annoying, Windows reminiscent, rotating rainbow circle appears for about a minute at a time. Then it goes away and the application works..........that is until try something demanding like adding a new group or changing a group name, then it starts over. It is making the Address Book almost unusable and very un-Mac-like.
Can someone please help???Try deleting this plist:

As well, the general approach at this time is to ask if you've checked for any problematic fonts (all languages) with Apple's Font Book (look in the Applications folder). Find and remove all duplicates also.
Start there to be sure all fonts that are in play come out with a clean bill of health.
Also, don't hesisate to perform wholesale deletion of old and/or little used fonts - be skeptical of anything that has come from Office 2008, including those related to an Equation Editor installation.
By all means be sure your 3rd party apps are Snow Leopard compatibl
