Really annoying problem on My O2 accessing the community!

I have a Nexus 7 2013 and a Sony Xperia z1 compact. Both have this really annoying glitch whereby when in the community section, evert time i press the 'back' arrow (the app one, not the Android soft key) it opens the 'my offers and perks' page and takes me to the page where it tells me how much it costs to upgrade! I have to repeat this half a dozen times before it finally navigates back to the previous page.  The touchscreen on both devices in this app seems glitchy too, it tries to highlight things in other areas of the screen at times. I have an iPhone 5s and never have this bother when accessing the community via that. I've tried exiting the app, signing out and back in again to no avail. I'm nearly at upgrade time, I hope this isn't O2's way of persuading me to renew!  How do I sort this or is it just me?

Just tried uninstalling and reinstalling My O2 on both the Z1 and nexus and it's still doing it on both devices. Still seems ok on my iPhone so far.
Thanks , The Xperia Z1 Compact is running Android 5.0.2, and my Nexus 7 is running 5.1.1. Both devices are running standard firmware and are not rooted. I acces the community via the link on the 'hamburger' menu on the left of the screen after signing in. I might try doing it via the community link at the bottom of the sign in screen and see if not signing into My O2 via my pin makes any difference.

  • Connecting via Airport express: really annoying problem

I've got a really annoying problem that doesn't make much sense. Have an airport express and my network seems to work OK mostly. My iBook can always connect, never any problem. My eMac however is behaving bizzarely. The longer I'm connected, the worse my connection gets. Until it stops working altogether and I can't access the internet at all. System preferences tells me the Airport card is on, but is not connected to a network. Can still connect to it with the iBook.
Shut down, leave it a good while (a good while too, a short shut down doesn't do it), and it works again.
I can't even think where to start looking, all I can think of is that I have a problem with the Airport card in the eMac (something getting hot in there perhaps). Any ideas?

    Thanks,
I'm pretty sure the card is seated properly (it works most of the time after all). I couldn't get it to work when I installed it because it wasn't seated properly, I pushed it in as far as it could possibly go and it has worked since (except after extended periods of use). The Airport express is three feet from the eMac with only a couple of bits of wood between them. The connection does not go down at times which I can link with the use of any particular appliances (When the eMac stops working, the iBook is always fine, even in a similar position). It is the apparently time-dependent aspect that I can't figure out (I only notice it on those, fairly infrequent, occasions when I am online for a few hours at a time). The eMac discussion group is a good tip. Ta.

  • A really annoying problem!!!

Alright guys, I got an annoying problem with my mac.
The text formatting is on many occasions all wrong like this:
    http://users.pandora.be/solid_raven/vb1.jpg
Another thing is, the sound fails me, but not in itunes and stuff but only in flash files, games etc. Really annoying!
I did a complete format before but after a couple of days this came up again.
Anyone know what to do about it?
    Ty!

I'm not sure about the text problem (although sometimes it can be to do with the website itself, I think), but the sound problem sounds like something that happened to me a while ago. Go to Applications>Utilities>Audio MIDI Setup and look where it says "Audio Output" - there'll be a box for "Format". Check the Hz number it says; ensure that it says 44100.0 Hz. If you find that it did not say 44100.0 Hz your problem is one of the programs you use. Some programs, e.g. Audacity (that's the one that caused my problem), change that level to one that is too high - this causes the sound problems you described. Once you've found out which program it is you can either avoid using it or change the level back to 44100.0 Hz after every use.

  • Really really annoying problem with slooooow Adress Book

I have a really, really annoying problem with Address Book.
Ever since I connected it with the MobileMe service it has this problem, and I just cant get rid of it. I have tried logging out and back into the MobileMe service, resetting the sync history etc., but to no avail.
Each time I open the application it freezes for about 5 to 10 seconts, then that blooming annoying, Windows reminiscent, rotating rainbow circle appears for about a minute at a time. Then it goes away and the application works..........that is until try something demanding like adding a new group or changing a group name, then it starts over. It is making the Address Book almost unusable and very un-Mac-like.
    Can someone please help???

    Try deleting this plist:
    (yourUserName)/Library/Preferences/com.apple.AddressBook.plist
As well, the general approach at this time is to ask if you've checked for any problematic fonts (all languages) with Apple's Font Book (look in the Applications folder). Find and remove all duplicates also.
Start there to be sure all fonts that are in play come out with a clean bill of health.
Also, don't hesisate to perform wholesale deletion of old and/or little used fonts - be skeptical of anything that has come from Office 2008, including those related to an Equation Editor installation.
By all means be sure your 3rd party apps are Snow Leopard compatibl

  • Just updated to itunes 12.1.0.71 - big problem - can no longer access the legacy "Get Info" where you could change multiple files, easily add artwork, add album name for TV show, and much more. In previous iTunes 12 you'd right click

Just updated to itunes 12.1.0.71 - big problem - can no longer access the legacy "Get Info" where you could change multiple files, easily add artwork, add album name for TV show, and much more. In previous iTunes 12 you'd right click and hold shift key and be able to get to it. Anyone figured this out?

The "legacy" metadata editors, for which there was a "back door" in iTunes 12.0, have gone from 12.1.  However, the revised editors in 12.1 provide access to (almost) all the metadata elements that were available in iTunes 11, albeit in a different layout and with some additional constraints based on media kind.  Some users have / will have an issue with the statement that "Get Info has been completely redesigned in iTunes 12 to focus your attention only on what’s necessary for the selected item" since that removes some metadata elements that people may have been using in creative ways.  iTunes 12.1 basically gives you access to the fields that Apple think are necessary ... .  Some of the things that have been excluded by this rule:
track and disc number fields for video media kinds
show and episode fields for music
description tab for audiobooks made up of more than one file
Obviously the first two examples can be regarded as "overloading" the metadata elements - i.e., using them in ways that the designers didn't intend - but given that some users do find valid cases for this it's a shame that they've been deprecated in the new UI.  There are couple of workarounds:
in songs view (or any of the other columnar views), you can still select any fields to display, independent of media kind, and these can be edited (though only one at a time) by double-clicking in the relevant "cell"
you can (temporarily) change the media kind of an item (or group of items) to get access to metadata elements that would otherwise be inaccessible.
It may be worth submitting an issue via https://www.apple.com/feedback/itunesapp.html - I can't see it as a huge development task to have a user preference to switch between "show all fields" and "filter fields based on media kind".
One other oddity/irritation is that some of the tabs don't, by default, show all the available fields - you need to scroll up/down to access them or to expand the window by dragging on one of its corners.  Fortunately, the latter seems to be persistent - once you've done this to make all the fields visible the editor will open at the same (larger) size when opened again.

  • Help, Really annoying problem,

when I copy certain tracks to my ipod, they appear 2 times in the ipod listings as in If I copy over 'Since I've been loving you by led zepp' and then click on led zep in the artist listings, there will be two idenical names 'Since I've Been Loving You', like its referencing the same song twice, I'm using a Nano latest firmware, and latest itunes with a macbook, its really annoying,
Also alot of times songs I send over wont appear under the artist as expected, and they dont even appear under the unknown section, instead the only way to play them is find them in the all songs section, I mean whats that about??
    Thanks in advance,
    John

A spelling or punctuation mistake, or sometimes a trailing space usually causes this after the artists and/or song name, which fools the iPod into thinking that there are two different artists or songs. The trailing space is the hardest to spot.

Best way to cure this is to go into iTunes, highlight that artist and/or songs, right click on them and select "get info".

This brings up the multiple song info window. In the artist or song box retype the name, as you would like it, and then click ok. Do this even if no mistakes are immediately visible.

Re sync this new artist/song info to your iPod.
As for your artist problem, it could be that you have inadvertently imported these CDs into iTunes as part of a compilation. If so, the artists won't show in the artists menu on the iPod.
To check, highlight the tracks on one of the offending artists CDs in iTunes, right click and select "get info". This brings up a multiple song info window, and from there you can check if you have 'yes' in the box marked "part of a compilation".
If you have, select 'no' instead and click 'ok'. Do this with any CD that has this issue. This will alter the info in iTunes, and you should then connect your iPod and synchronize the changes.
The problem arises because the information contained on the Gracenote CD Data Base (where iTunes gets all it's album/artist/track info from), is sometimes incorrect. It can show CDs as compilations when in fact they are not.
You should also check that the songs have album name info in their ID tags.
See: Some songs don't don't show under artist on my iPod.

  • Really annoying problem, can't get past 'getting started' screen!

    Hi,
Can't get ipod and itunes working for the first time!
Ipod is plugged in and appears in the itunes menu, click on ipod and a screen appears on the right hand side saying something like 'getting started'. The problem is that the type runs over the edge of the window (can't read all the info) and there's no link/tickbox to set up the ipod. Tried widening window but moves about an inch then stops. Is there any way to get things working without this annoying problem?
I'm trying to get this working for a friend and don't know much about Windows as I use a mac (which worked first time with my ipod!).
    Any replies appreciated, Steve.
    Ipod classic 80 gig/win XP/itunes 7.5

I have the EXACT same problem. I own a first generation iPod nano and I loved it so much that I bought my boyfriend the 3rd generation. I downloaded iTunes for him and everything was going great until I went to register. The screen is doing exactly what you described. You can tell there is something on the right side that needs to be clicked but you can't scroll over there to do it. I'm frustrated because he wanted to sync all his music before we started to travel for the holidays and now we can't! Please let me know if you figure anything out or find out anything. Thank you!!
FYI - I tried to register online to see if that would help but it didn't make a difference. Also, you can still put songs onto your iPod by dragging them into the iPod section but once they are there you can't manipulate them or take them back off.

  • Really annoying problem, please help!

We have just upgraded to quad core mac pro and for some reason when we try to encode video, either in compressor or directly in DVD studio pro, the bottom third of the frame is solid green!
We didn't have any problems when we were running the exact same version on a Dual Core but I have no idea if thats relevant. It happens with every quicktime movie we try and it doesn't seem to matter what settings we use. Its driving us crazy as the deadline for the project is approaching really fast!
Any help would be greatfully received.
    Simon

Sorry no one has gotten back to you. The only thing I can even possibly sugegst is to reinstall the latest upgrade to QT. You can delete the RECEIPT for the last one or two revs of QT that you got handed by Software Update and run Software Update again. It will see that those receipts are missing and resend and redo the QT updates.
There is an apple knowledge base article on the process. Sorry, can't put my finger on it right now. This might work,

  • Email links out of Practice Fusion are not active (as they are in IE), which they say is a problem with "something lost in the communication between the Flash engine and the browser". Does anyone have experience with this?

This is a medical records system, cloud based. I use Firefox to get into the system, but any browser would work. Other than this problem, Firefox works fine (better than IE, in my opinion).
Patient demographics include their email, which is hyperlinked and should go right to Outlook (my default email program). This works in IE, but nothing happens on the click when using Firefox as the browser.
I queried Practice Fusion, which replied: In regards to your previous question about the email hyperlink in the patient information, it looks this is not something that can be fixed on our end right now. It is the web browsers' responsibility to handle these types of links, and there seems to be something lost in the communication between the Flash engine and the browser. I apologize for any inconvenience.
Thanks for any help anyone can provide.

  • A really annoying problem regarding the Zen Vision M 30 g

When I go to the creative media?program it says that I don't have a player plugged in. I've done the system registry editing for the USB that was on the support page, but that doesn't work either. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have Windows Media player 0 installed at the moment but I'm going to try to get the th version installed when I get home. Last time I tried to get it to install it wouldn't for some reason,?but I'm going to?look into that problem. I don't think this is related to the Windows Media player though.

  • Really annoying problem.

Well I thought I'd download a trial version of Photoshop on my computer so I did.
    However, Every time I attempt to install it I get the following error;
    ']Adobe Photoshop CS4
    Error:
Error 1612. The installation source for this product is not available.  Verify that the source exists and that you can access it.
    Adobe Photoshop CS4
    Error:
Error 1612. The installation source for this product is not available.  Verify that the source exists and that you can access it.'
Everything installs except Photoshop CS4 itself.
I've tried re-downloading and such but I still get the error.
I've done a lot of searching for a fix but there's absolutely nothing that solves the problem.
Anyone know a way to resolve this very annoying issue?
    My computer;
    Windows XP 32-bit
More than sufficient hard drive space.

If you went to the Adobe site and down loaded the trial of PS CS4 did you get any errors or was the download complete?
Did you put the folder on the desktop that contained the 2 files?
Did you right click on the .exe file in the folder and run as Admin?
Turn off any anti-virus running on XP.
The biggest problem now is that even with the partial install of PS CS4 trial, with the rest failing, the trial cannot be reinstalled. You will have to re-format your hard drive and reinstall XP.

So yeah, I know, longest post in history, right? This just completely baffles me. To me , going through it, it should work. I even commented out the line where it sets the flag to 0, and it didn't change the outcome. Any insight would be very helpful thanks for even reading this far.

  • Problem with multiple threads accessing the same Image

I'm trying to draw into one Image from multiple threads. It works fine for a while, but then suddenly, the image stops updating. Threads are still running but the image won't update. I'm using doublebuffering and threads are simply drawing counters into Image with different speed.
It seems like the Image gets deadlocked or something. Anyone have any idea what's behind this behavior or perhaps better solution to do such thing.
    Any help will be appreciated.

Sorry Kglad, I didn't mean to be rude. With "No coding
errors" I meant the animation itself runs with no errors. I'm sure
you could run the 20 instances with no freezing (that's why I put
the post :) ) But I'm affraid it is an animation for a client, so I
    cannot distribute the code.
Perhaps I didnt explain the situation clearly enough (in part
    because of my poor english...).-
    - By 20 instances I mean 20 separated embedded objects in the
    html
    - The animation is relatively simple. A turned on candle, in
each cycle I calculate the next position of the flame (that
oscilates from left to right). The flame is composed by 4
concentric gradients. There is NO loops, only an 'onEnterFrame'
function refreshing the flame each time.
    - It's true that I got plenty variables at the _root level.
If that could be the problem, how can I workaround it?
    - It is my first time trying to embed so many objects at the
same time too. No idea if the problem could be the way I embed the
    object from the html :(
    - The only thing I can guess is that when a cycle of one of
the object is running, the other 19 objects must wait their turn.
That would explain why the more instances I run, the worst results
I get. In that case, I wonder if there's a way to run them in a
kind of asynchronous mode, just guessing...
Any other comment would be appreciated. Anyway, thanks a lot
    everybody for your colaboration.

  • A really annoying problem with a button/movie clip

I am having a problem with a button! its driving me insane
because i managed to do it last week, but that was by chance and
now i can't remember how i did it!
I can get the button (i'm using gelright from the common
libraries panel) and convert it to a movie clip(by pressing F8) and
even attach a behaviour but when i play the movie it doen't work!
when i move the curser over the button it changes into a hand, but
will not act like a button, even though i have set the behaviour to
'on release, go to and play keyframe 2'.
Please help me, for the sake of my laptop goin through the
    wall!

ok - you are running yourself around in circles - why did you
delete it to the stage only to add it
again? once you converted it to a movie clip, you had what
you wanted on the stage - but then you
deleted it and dragged another instance of the same symbol
back onto the stage - there's no reason
    to do that.

    it jsut said 'layer 1'

    of layers on that one).
Right - this is expected because yoyu are now inside the
movie clip timeline - not the button timeline.
    > When i double clicked on it again, it brought up the
    right headings (top, down,
    > over, etc),
Right - because by double clicking the button symbol you were
then brought to "edit mode" for the
    button symbol.
but there were about 5 layers that showed the different
    layers for
    > the original button.
Huh? What "5 layers"? What do you mean "original" button -
per your description there has only ever
been 1 button you have been working with.
    > I think i have to add the button to each of the
headings, bt there is no room,
Lost you completely now - what do you mean add the button to
each heading? I have no clue what you mean.

    Still losing you here.

That's because you are applying a behavior for a button to a
    movie clip instead.
I think you went wrong when you converted the button to a
movie clip - i have no idea why you did
that or why to think your button needs to be in a movie clip.

I just think you don't understand how timelines, symbols or
    buttons work yet in flash.
    1. drag a button to the stage.
    2. select it and open the Behaviors panel (dont double click
    it to edit it).
    3. add your actions.
    4. test movie.
(no need for a movie clip here.

  • Really annoying problem... if anyone could help that would be great

everytime i click to add folder to import an cd album on my comp, it always imports double the amount of songs into itunes. i.e. if i try to add a album on my comp with 13 songs, then it will import 26 songs into itunes, and I will have a duplicate of each song. any help on this problem would be greatly appreciated....
    thanks in advance

Hmmm, do your album folders have duplicate songs in them? It's probably a dumb question but I don't know the whole story. And also, in your album folders, are there any kind of 'System Information' files or '.cue's in them?
As an alternative to your importing issue, I say go to the folder manually, highlight all the songs you want to import, and then drag and drop into your iTunes music library. Make sure, however, that "Music" under "Library" (on the left task pane) is highlighted or that a custom playlist of your own is highlighted. I say this because you can not add new songs to smart playlists which are, for example, the "Recently Added" or the "Recently Played" smart playlists.
