Really basic and frustrating Nano problems-can anyone help??

I bought my Nano (from a completely trusted store) but can't get it to function!
Firstly whenever I try to download I.Tunes 7.2, it appears to have downloaded but doesn't and I.Tunes says my ipod won't work due to my lack of I.Tunes 7.0 (I definitely have a version of I.Tunes but possibly an older one).
So I can't transfer my music onto my Nano-very frustrating, so it is a very pretty toy right now lol.
Any advice?

What exactly happens when you try to download the latest version of iTunes? Do you get any error messages? If so, please quote what they say, and when it occurs.
If you are not getting any errors, then does the install seem to stall out at some particular part?
As a general, you could try restarting your computer, and making sure that you are downloading iTunes through a user account on your comptuer that has full administrator priveledges.

deggie gave you that link so you'd know that airprint is a reduced-options print system, designed for mobile devices (not Macs), and you need to use the specific airprint driver on the Mac when adding the printer if you want Airprint, no-options printing. Otherwise, select the "non-airprint" driver when you add the printer.
It may be helpful to Reset the Printing System to get OS X to find the right driver.

(And "not working" doesn't help us to help you - please give more detail next time) -
I just loaded Lion oxs 10.71 on my I-mac computer, and now my Logic 9 software wont show up it says its not compatible also i cant find my macintosh harddrive icon that is usually shown on dektop and device browser column can anyone help me with this problem.

I had a similar issue with Photoshop when I upgraded to both Snow Leopard and Lion. it turned out to be Rosetta is no longer present in the newer OS. Once I upgraded to Lion, Appleworks stopped working after all these years. -

I just deleted PS CS6 and installed PS CC 2014. I'm trying to use the Liquify Filter and it does not work. When I click on the Liquify Filter, my photo does not appear properly. The photo appears as two flourescent color fields - bright turquoise and lime green! Can anyone help me with this? Also, does anyone know if I can re-install Photoshop CS6?

LaraineHi Everyone....I figured it out. Strangely, although I had NEVER used Liquify in PS CC 2014....I just realized that in Liquify Advanced Mode that the "SHOW MASK" option was on by default! I unchecked SHOW MASK. Everything is OK. Whew! Tks!

- Try cleaning out/blowing out the headphone jack. Try inserting/removing the plug a dozen times or so.
Try the following to rule out a software problem
- Reset the iPod. Nothing will be lost
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
- Restore from backup
- Restore to factory settings/new iPod.
- Make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store. Seems you have a bad headphone jack.

Apple will exchange your iPod for a refurbished one for this price. They do not fix yours.

Hi,
I'm having problems with my itunes syncing with my devices. I tried it with my old iphone 4 and now my iphone 5S.
When I plug the phone in, the computer recognises it as it starts to charge, but it doesn't get picked up by itunes.
I've tried repairing my itunes account, and deleting and reinstalling it.
Can anyone help?

Uggh, it's so frustrating! I've googled every search phrase I can think of and this seems to be the only thread describing this exact issue. I'm always automatically logged into Facebook on my MBP but just to be sure I logged out and back in and it worked fine.
I gotta say, I wasn't a fan of the Droid I had preceding this iPhone, and from what I hear the iPhone app for FB is a thousand times better - not that I'd know personally because I can't log in!! - but I could always access my FB account on the droid. Just sayin... -

Have you tried resetting the SMC? The SMC (System Management Controller) has control over the charging function, so resetting it may help. -

From what you're describing appears to be Activation Lock, a security measure provided by Apple that makes it harder for people to use a lost or stolen device. You will need to enter the password for the Apple ID the device is prompting you for.

It sounds like you are trying to update some of your apps and when you tap the update button, the update does not happen. I recommend starting by closing the running apps on the phone:
iOS: Force an app to close

Double-click the Home button.
Swipe left or right until you have located the app you wish to close.
Swipe the app up to close it.
When you have done that, sign out of your iTunes account in Settings > iTunes and App Stores, and restart the phone and try to update them again:

If the issue persists I would next verify that you can find it in your purchased history with ths article:
Tap App Store.
Make sure you're signed in with the same Apple ID used for the original purchase.
Tap Updates.
Tap Purchased on the resulting screen.
So that you can then delete the app and re install it:
Reinstall the affected app
Remove the app from your device and reinstall it:
Tap and hold any app icon on the Home Screen until the icons start to wiggle and show a small "x" in the top-left corner of the app.
Tap the "x" in the corner of the app you want to delete.
Tap Delete to remove the app and all of its data from your device.
Press the Home button.
Go to the App Store.
Search for the app and download it again.
Note: If it's a paid app, make sure you're using the iTunes account you purchased the app with originally. If it isn't, you may be asked to purchase the app again. Learn more about downloading previously purchased items.
