Really I am only adding this because getting a hold of anyone to solve my real problem is impossible

OK I am working on CS6. Recent upgrade arrives and I download. Now I appear to be on a trail for CS6 extended I did not request nor download. Since Adobe is really impossible to get a hold of and this is the only way I can respond to this crap. I am writing this down. If like in the past I recieved a disc I could start the process of downloading all my CS programs one to six and hey we might make a go of it. But since this is all downloaded from the dam internet, that is not a possibility. Of course finding a number to a real human being is impossible. If I lived in Jordan I found a number but I do not speak arabic. So to who ever is listening. I vow to never buy another adobe product. I might be able to work in CS5 if not I will loose buisness and money. So thats the story sports fans.

I have never used CS6 extended. I have been using CS6 since it was released and photoshop before CS was even out. I try to open up CS6 and this box appears asking me if I wish to start the CS6 extended trial or register my CS6 extended, which of course I do not have. I recently downloaded whatever adobe sent me to update CS6. I did not use photoshop after the download and shut my computer down. I restart the computer go to bridge open file I am working on and the box comes up. How is this possible. I am at a loss for words as to what could have happened. This is out of the blue and driving me crazy. It is not just a simple problem with brushes or saving files, its like my whole CS6 is no longer available to me. Where did this come from. I do not know what to do next.

If you're having difficulties getting updates for your tools using the Creative Cloud Desktop app, then you can try downloading them without it by using the direct links for the CC updates on Windows or on Mac OS, for all CC apps.

Why does the newest FF keep me signed in to websites when I log off despite being set to full time "private browsing"? This is a real problem on a shared computer!

Despite being set to full time "Private" mode, this latest version of FF keeps me logged into things like ebay etc.
This has never happened with previous versions and is a real problem.

‘iPad is disabled’ fix without resetting using iTunes
Today I met my match with an iPad that had a passcode entered too many times, resulting in it displaying the message ‘iPad is disabled – Connect to iTunes’. This was a student iPad and since they use Notability for most of their work there was a chance that her files were not all backed up to the cloud. I really wanted to just re-activate the iPad instead of totally resetting it back to our default image.
I reached out to my PLN on Twitter and had some help from a few people through retweets and a couple of clarification tweets. I love that so many are willing to help out so quickly. Through this I also learned that I look like Lt. Riker from Star Trek (thanks @FillineMachine).
Through some trial and error (and a little sheer luck), I was able to reactivate the iPad without loosing any data. Note, this will only work on the computer it last synced with. Here’s how:
1. Configurator is useless in reactivating a locked iPad. You will only be able to completely reformat the iPad using Configurator. If that’s ok with you, go for it – otherwise don’t waste your time trying to figure it out.
2. Open iTunes with the iPad disconnected.
3. Connect the iPad to the computer and wait for it to show up in the devices section in iTunes.
4. Click on the iPad name when it appears and you will be given the option to restore a backup or setup as a new iPad (since it is locked).
5. Click ‘Setup as new iPad’ and then click restore.
6. The iPad will start backing up before it does the full restore and sync. CANCEL THE BACKUP IMMEDIATELY. You do this by clicking the small x in the status window in iTunes.
7. When the backup cancels, it immediately starts syncing – cancel this as well using the same small x in the iTunes status window.
8. The first stage in the restore process unlocks the iPad, you are basically just cancelling out the restore process as soon as it reactivates the iPad.
If done correctly, you will experience no data loss and the result will be a reactivated iPad. I have now tried this with about 5 iPads that were locked identically by students and each time it worked like a charm.

To re-install iPhoto
1. Put the iPhoto.app in the trash (Drag it from your Applications Folder to the trash)
2a: On 10.5: Go to HD/Library/Receipts and remove any pkg file there with iPhoto in the name.
2b: On 10.6: Those receipts may be found as follows: In the Finder use the Go menu and select Go To Folder. In the resulting window type
/var/db/receipts/
2c: on 10.7 they're at
/private/var/db/receipts
A Finder Window will open at that location and you can remove the iPhoto pkg files.
3. Re-install.
If you purchased an iLife Disk, then iPhoto is on it.
If iPhoto was installed on your Mac when you go it then it’s on the System Restore disks that came with your Mac. Insert the first one and opt to ‘Install Bundled Applications Only.
If you purchased it on the App Store you can find it in your Purchases List.

Disable automatic syncing when the iPhone is connected with iTunes on each computer.
The only item you will have selected for syncing with iTunes on your computer at work will be Calendars, which is selected under the Info tab for your iPhone sync preferences with iTunes. Nothing else will be selected under the various tabs for your iPhone sync preferences with iTunes on your computer at work. You will get a warning message that your iPhone is associated with another iTunes library on a different computer which you can ignore when syncing calendars/calendar events only with iTunes on your computer at work.

First, AVCHD isn't just "one" clip, it splits the video & audio into several files each per clip, typically with randomly generated names. The only way they "play" correctly is if the software doing so is able to read from the data file ...in a different folder ... the information that X clip is actually A, B, D, #@, and 456 video clips and TR, #r54, and ert$%4 audio clips. The next "clip" is ... and on and on. So both rapid access to the video files AND that database file are necessary to play the files back, or do anything else with them.
VLC is a fairly decent but simple playback tool. It's nowhere near as complicated nor demanding in its "relationship" with those clips as an NLE like PrPro, which will be trying to do more reading & writing.
Further, many of the preferences in PrPro are natively set so that it writes project, cache, preview, & database files next to the footage. So ... if it doesn't have both a fast enough connection with the data AND space for putting all of it's own stuff there, it tells you it can't work the file.
Therefore ... the need to have the complete data from the card in the exact same folder structure it was in ON the card copied to a "local" hard drive.

the Intel Core Duo processor is a 32-bit only processor and not capable of 64-bit.
Only the Core 2 Duo and later processors are capable of 64-bit.

This is getting really old.
I keep running into limits on the way I can access information.
I have some code that was looking at a SerialElement:
pSerialElement.getChildAt(0).toString();     trace produces "[object VideoElement]"
Now if I simply store that SerialElement in a MediaElement (pMediaElement = pSerialElement )
I no longer can do a getChildAt.

Thanks deggie, I think I get it now. Volatile memory (I had to look it up!) is memory that is lost on loss of power, so it's as you say... I'm not achieving anything on a normally functioning iPhone as on-off achieves the same result!... Thanks
