ok, if there is a computer dummy out there for mac, then i'm #1.
how do i uninstall/erase programs?
how do i protect my laptop from viruses, bugs, etc?
how do i clean my laptop up?
i just got the laptop and i've never used a mac before, so everything is really new to me.... help if you can.

Here is a link to a web page that explains how to install applications. There is a link at the bottom to another page that explains how to uninstall applications. Note: Many Apple applications that were originally installed on your Mac are integrated in the operating system, and it is not recommended to remove them.
Protecting from viruses on Mac OS X is debated topic. I am one of many that still do not think we need virus protection, at this time. Opinions differ. If you do a search on these Discussions on the subject you will find a great deal of debate. If you want to protect your Mac from viruses, you cannot do better than the donationware clamXav.
As for cleaning your laptop up, there is not much to do. The best system maintenance guide is Here.
The one question you did not ask about is backup. This is the most important question of all, if you value your data. The best single method of backup is a bootable clone of your system. I use SuperDuper!. You can read all about backing up OS X here.

I have been trying to reset my security questions. i have found others who said they changed them from the manage account and then password and security online, but i am asked to answer the security questions i don't know the answers to. help?

Welcome to the Apple Community.
Start here, and reset your password, you will receive an email with your new password, then go to manage your account > Password and Security and change your security questions.
If that doesn't help you might try contacting Apple through iTunes Store Support

It's syncing my iCal calenders. But it's putting different calendars information into other calendars. I look at my calendars basically color coded and the same multiple informaion is in wrong calendars. Understand?

If the email hasn't arrived after a few hours and isn't in a spam filter, you need to ask Apple to reset your security questions; this can be done by phoning AppleCare and asking for the Account Security team, or clicking here and picking a method, or if your country isn't listed in either article, filling out and submitting this form.
They wouldn't be security questions if they could be bypassed without Apple verifying your identity.

A YouView Question - BT don't know the answer!

I've had the email inviting me as an existing customer to get a YouView box early. I asked BT whether I will be able to recieve Freeview HD channels and record them. Answer " I don't know, but I'm sure that you need Infinity Mr D". I cannot get infinity, no estimated dates for my exchange, but the next person I spoke to (whilst trying to get an Infinity date) told me that my Total Broadband will definately give me HD ( usually get 10 -12 Mbps).
I am not going to order YouView if I cannot get HD, so does anybody here know the answer?

umm, it is an easy question to answer......and what you have put above does not answer it The original question has nothing to do with broadband speed.

If you don't have access to your rescue email account (you won't be able to change it until you can answer 2 of your questions) then you will need to contact iTunes Support or Apple to get them reset.
e.g. you can try contacting iTunes Support : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Account Management , and then 'Forgotten Apple ID security questions'
or try ringing Apple in your country and ask to talk to the Accounts Security Team : http://support.apple.com/kb/HE57
When they've been reset you can then use the steps half-way down this page to update your rescue email address for potential future use : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5312 . Or, if it's available in your country, you could change to 2-step verification : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5570

When the iPhone crashes, locks up in a way that prevents the iPhone from responding to being turned off, or just isn't working as it should (you'd be surprised at how many problems can be solved by a simple reset) you need to reset the iPhone. Here's how:
Reset the iPhone by holding the sleep/wake button at the top right of the device and the home button at the bottom center of the face at the same time.
Hold them both until you see the screen go black. In some cases, you may need to keep holding them even after the red power off slider appears. If it does, just keep holding it.
Wait until the white Apple logo appears.
When this happens, you can let go - the iPhone is rebooting.

Okay, so I'm in charge of starting a podcast for a website i'm part of. and what I need to know, is if you can put multiple .mp3, .acc, whatever, into one podcast.
Like say I wanted to chat about something, do like a commercial thing or whatever, and then go back to chatting, any possible way you can do that with a podcast?
And if not, is it possible with another RSS feed coding?

A single podcast episode is a single file, so therefore a single audio format. Each episode in a podcast can be a different format, although that can lead to listener confusion for anyone using a non-iTunes/iPod player (assuming you mix in AAC files with MP3).
