Really strange musical fonts have appeared

Just today I was using pages when i noticed these really strange musical fonts had appeared:
There are alot more of these wierd fonts: these are just a few examples.
i have this musical creation program on my computer called Sibelius First 6: I was wondering if that was the cause.I don't use it much and am on the trial version, so I could uninstall the program if it would fix this strange issue.

If you are really using 10.6.4, updating your OS may solve the problem.
It would be best to download and install the 10.6.7 combo update and then run Software Update.

Illegible fonts have appeared

Recently I had a strange problem. I had gobble de gook for my otherwise legible fonts on my site. Now that I've gone to each "changed" text block I notice that they have gone from regular (i.e., fonts) to fractions! And they have done so on their own! I am now changing the changed fonts back to regular to, with hope, remedy the situation.
Why? I ask why did this happen? I am also finding that FRACTIONS, apparently a font has overtaken my fonts in Hotmail and occasionally in other e-mail accounts that I have as well.
I recently loaded up my Font library to my newly reinstalled system 10.3.9. Could this have precipitated the problem?
Help GEEKS AND NERDS out there. I'm just a lowly artist trying to have a New Millenial website with the least amount of problems. Maybe problems are the hallmark of the new Millenium?

You need to find the font Helvetica Fractions on your system and trash it. This font is not compatible with a number of OS X apps.

I have the iPhone 5s. My ringtone works, my YouTube videos work. When I go to watch an Instagram video or play my music I have purchased on my phone, no sound will come out. The volume is up and is not on mute.

Really strange problem you have there. I have a few questions though.
Please try again and try to make the phone as a new without restoringen with you iCloud-data or backup-data from iTunes. Maybe it is something wrong with the data (strange).
Anyway, i think you should call Apple Support or visit an Apple Store, don't forgot to make a Genius Bar reservation.

Connect your phone to computer, and sync like this. Check the boxes for the playlists, artists, albums you want to sync. Then click Apply. If you have enough space on your phone, you can choose Entire music library.

Nope, it either needs to be plugged in or turned on with the power button.
A replacement iPhone 4 is $149, but at least the whole phone is replaced.

I just jazzed up my 2 Ghz iMac with 10.6.8, and 4 gigs of memory. I'm VERY happy with the results (fast!), but now I have a thin yellow line way over on the right side of the screen, which goes from top to bottom. This is really strange! Any input?

Why would you repurchase songs simply because they will not sync? Sorry, that's beyond illogical, it's simply not smart.
What happens when trying to sync these songs?

Older Zens don't support AAC, which is the format iTunes uses for songs.

ON a Mac the Home folder (the one with a Little House icon) tends to be where most people have "Documents", "Desktop" "Pictures", "Music", "Movies", "Downloads", "Sites" and "Public" folders (Plus anything else they put in there and possibly the library if they set it to display the Library).
"My Music" sounds like a Windows reference and you list Windows as your OS
Seems like the question is better suited to a Microsoft forum.

I have iTunes ver 10 on a PC with Playlists which do not sync to ITouch or Nano (6th Gen). All the music does not appear and the playlists do not appear at all. I have selected to manually manage music on the sum tab

When I select to manually manage music on the summary tab and selected playlists on the music tab nothing changes. Either way all the music isn't on either device and the playlists are not on either device. Please advise next steps. Thank you.

Connect the device to the computer.
In iTunes, select the content desired to sync.
Sync.

I can see the music, it is in a lighter font and appears to still be there but will not play. When placed on shuffle it will skip right over this music. I have already paid for this music and have been able to play it at one time but that was before the update. Why can I not listen to this music anymore?

Music does not appear in iTunes after consolidation and xfer to E drive

I followed the instructions listed on the web site for xfer of the music to an external hard drive. After I did the consolidate portion, the music did not show/appear in the e drive folder created for the music. The music does not show in iTunes now. I have not deleted anything since I can't see music in the e drive folder.
I am currently copying the music from the older folder to the newer folder to see if this helps.
Where does the consolidated music go?
Can it be shown in iTunes at all now that it has been consolidated?
Will pod sync now since music does not appear in iTunes?
Any help or information would really be appreciated.

Rather than move individual files you might want to move the whole collection:

Quick answer if you let iTunes manage your music: Copy the entire iTunes folder (and in doing so all its subfolders and files) intact to the other drive. Start iTunes with the option (shift on Windows) key held down and guide it to the new location of the library.

Fonts not appearing in CS3 program font lists

Certain postscript fonts (ZapfDingbats and Rubino Sans) are correctly installed in Windows 7 and available to Microsoft programs (Word and Excel) but not to Adobe programs. That is, they do not appear in any of the CS3 Design Standard applications (PhotoShop, InDesign, Illustrator) font lists when the application is open. I have uninstalled and reinstalled both the fonts and CS3 to no avail. I have added shortcuts to the Common Files/Adobe/Fonts directory to no avail. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

I assume by PostScript fonts you really mean Type 1 fonts. (TrueType and OpenType fonts are every bit as much "PostScript fonts" as Type 1 fonts are!)
There is a known problem with the CS3 applications with all Type 1 fonts under all Windows Vista 64-bit and Windows 7 64-bit versions when such fonts are installed in the Windows System Font directory. The problem is fixed in CS4.
The workaround is to copy all the Type 1 font files (both the .PFB and the .PFM files - each Type 1 font has one .PFB and one .PFM file) to the Creative Suite's private font directory. Depending upon the CS version, that may be in
C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\Fonts
or
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\Fonts
Restart the Creative Suite programs you are using and the fonts should appear.
You may also copy said fonts into the private font directories of the individual applications (typically a directory path ending with the node name Fonts.

Music Artists' names appear as lowercase on my phone, but uppercase in iTunes?

So I have quite a few artists whose albums I've decided to put on my iPhone 5S and for some reason their names are showing up as all lowercase. At first I thought the ID3 tags weren't correct, but after using two ID3 tag editors (alongside the iTunes "get info" screen), I found that the tags weren't the issue. I also thought it might've been the actual phone itself; perhaps the software was corrupt, but I actually had to get my phone replaced today because the screen was lifting and after syncing to my library at home and looking at my Music app and seeing the artist field still reading as all lowercase, I figured it wasn't my phone. So what could it be? It's really strange seeing some artists cased correctly like "Grace Jones" and "Sam Smith", while also seeing others cased incorrectly like "prince" and "fka twigs".
Please help me figure out what is wrong with these artist fields. I have tried the following to no avail: restarting my computer, updating iTunes, deleting iTunes plist files, reinstalling iTunes, deleting and reading songs into iTunes, editing ID3 tags, changing the artists' name to something else and then back to the correct name, restarting my iPhone, and hard resetting my iPhone.
To clarify, the artists' names all read in correct case on iTunes, and only read in all lowercase on my iPhone.

Ok sorted it looks like the folder where the music is stored had changed to itunes media when all my music is in itunes music. I have reset the default folder back to itunes music and that seem to have solved the issue. Thanks for those that helped.
