Really strange promotion behaviour (Required dependencies not found)

Hello,
We have a really mysterious failure with the promotion failure.
I created a very simple promotion job, that should promote a single WebI report from platform A to B. B doesn't have any folders yet. When I create the promotion job with our Testuser, I get the following promotion window and when I start the promotion job, everything works fine:
As you can see the folder of the WebI report is added automatically to the promotion objects.
When I create exactly the same promotion job from another client PC in our company, but with the same Testuser ( ! ), the promotion window looks like this, the folder is not added to the object list.
After starting the promotion job, I get the following error:
Übergabestatus=Übergabe versucht und fehlgeschlagen., Hochstufungsstatus=Failure : com.businessobjects.lcm.utilities.LCMException: com.businessobjects.sdk.biar.BIARException$EngineException: Erforderliche Abhängigkeiten im Zielsystem nicht gefunden: '[M1M6uOUACCVhAHUAagAAXIgFAgrH.HcAAAA]'
-> translated: Required dependencies not found: '[M1M6uOUACCVhAHUAagAAXIgFAgrH.HcAAAA]'
It's the missing folder in the second screenshot, which has that CUID on the source system.
We tried it with the same browsers (IE and Firefox), same browser versions, etc.
As we are executing exactly the same steps on both client PCs, the same user, the reason for the different behaviour must be a different client setting I guess?
Any ideas what could be the problem?
Thanks!

hi Hans,
1) Can u  try import Wizard / Upgrad management tool?
2  )What Bo version and What patch level you are on? Does the Production/ Dev and and your UAT system are on the same patch level?
Please try these in Dev Enviorment...
goto :
"http://myBOESERVERname:8080/AdminTools" using
One can use the query builder tool ti figure out which object is causing the issue,

  • Moved Music to New Hard Drive - Required folder not found??? pls help

    Hello
I have recently purchased a new external hard drive as my crappy Dell was full to the brim with music.
I have moved all my music files over to the hard drive and re installed itunes.
Now when i drag my music folder into the itunes library it updates but the shortly after an error message occurs that says:-
'Itunes Libray music file cannot be saved. Required folder not found'
Previously i have saved my itunes folder within my music folder?.
Now everytime i close down itunes all my music has gone from it!??
Any suggestions....sorry if being really ignorant..not too profficient on computers..
    Thanks in advance.

I think itunes by default looks inside you my music folder. In the itunes preferences screen there is an option to select a new folder to your library. Change the path to the music folder on your external drive. Make sure to always have the drive turned on before launching itunes though.
You may also be able to replace the my music folder with a shortcut to the music folder on the external drive. This behavior may not work in windows though so I'm not sure.

  • IPod cannot be synced. Required file not found?

I havent had any trouble syncing my ipod until last week when i purchased a song. When i dragged the song to a playlist on my ipod, it appeared grey in my playlist (because it was still loading) and then disappeared. I repeated this until i gave up and I reported this as an issue to itunes. When i tried again it worked and i thought maybe the problem had fixed itself, but i tried to add a CD to my ipod a few days ago and it only synced half of the songs. Now when i try to sync the leftover songs an error box pops up saying "The iPod (name of ipod) cannot be synced. Required file not found."
Some songs will sync perfectly normal, some load but disappear, some eventually just sync, and some won't sync at all. Has anyone had this problem/ can anyone help SOLVE it? please and thank you!!!

    Try this:
    Let your iPod charge up.
Attempt to sync a large play list.
When the iPod shuts down and you get the error message, quickly click through the dialog boxes on iTunes so when the iPod comes back up iTunes will attempt to sync again.
When the sync starts again after the iPod reboot, click the little X in the bar that shows how many tracks have been loaded. This will stop the sync and you'll be able to eject your iPod.
After it's been ejected, unplug the connector from the iPod and see what happens to the battery indicator. Mine goes down to almost gone and red - then after a few minutes it comes up to about 2/3 strength - but it should be full after being fully charged and just syncing a few hundred tracks.

  • Cannot Sync, Required file not found!

Plz help. I just updated itunes and now when i plug in my ipod, it wont sync,it says, "The ipod "name withheld's ipod" cannot sync. required file not found."

It's possible that the iPod Photo Cache folder on your computer, which is created from syncing photos to your iPod, is interfering with the syncing.
Try deleting the folder from your computer. See this for details:
Photo Sync creates iPod photo Cache
Then, try resyncing your iPod with your computer, and see if it is sucessful or not.

  • IPod Classic 120GB cannot sync, "Required disk not found"

Somebody, please help! iPod Classic 120GB charcoal, current OS as of about a week ago (won't stay synced long enough for me to see what it is), iMac 24" 10.6.4, iTunes 10.0.1. Let me know if you need any more info and I'll try to provide it.
Everything was absolutely fine until I updated to the newest version of iTunes. Now, when I plug in my iPod, it says it's connecting then jumps straight to the "Okay to disconnect" screen. It never shows up in iTunes at all. After doing this repeatedly, I unplugged it then immediately plugged it in again before it had finished the progress bar on the "Okay to disconnect" screen, and it finally showed up in iTunes, but it gave me an error of "iPod was not properly disconnected" then "cannot sync - required disk not found" and disconnected itself again.
I tried resetting it (menu+center buttons) while it was plugged in, and this did nothing. iTunes still didn't recognize it at all.
About a week ago, I followed some instructions somewhere and toggled the "enable disk use" option (I usually keep it unchecked) then was able to restore it. The songs were added back in a bizarre order (not alphabetical, not chronological, songs within an album added out of order, jumping from artist to artist, etc.) and I had to sync it again for three random albums that it missed the first time, but once everything was in again it was fine. I haven't added any new songs or playlists to my iTunes library since then (just changed a few ratings and I like to keep track of play counts), but when I tried to sync it again this morning, I got exactly the same errors.
The only difference this time is that it alerted me that one song in my library (a song I happen to like very much) could not be synced. The song still shows up on my iPod, but will not play. It still appears and plays in iTunes on the computer.
The iPod works perfectly in day-to-day use and is a little over a year old. I take very good care of it (my previous iPod is four or five years old and still works fine) and it has never had any problems before this. It has almost 100GB worth of music (no other media, just music), which makes it pretty annoying to have to restore it more than absolutely necessary. What is going on here and is there some way to fix it that will last longer than a week?

Hi, yeah I'm experiencing the same issue as everyone else with a 120gb iPod classic using iTunes 10.1.1 (4). Started about the time of OSX 10.6.5 update and hasn't been resolved with the OSX 10.6.6 update.
iPod attempts to Sync but now quits without even appearing on the computer let alone iTunes.
I have ESET security but quitting the app doesn't help.
I also have an iPhone 3Gs and that's still syncing fine (thank heavens), via a different library.
I've since managed to wipe the iPod clean (back to factory settings) as forced to do so by following the instructions in another post to remove the iPod Photo Cache. I then moved my iTunes folder to another directory for safe keeping.
I set up a clean iTunes database thinking my old one might have been corrupted. To do this you open iTunes from scratch while holding down the option key and select "Create Library". iTunes then remembers the last library created whenever you open the app.
When I am able to see the iPod summary screen (a rare occurrence now) I see that "enable disk use" is checked ok - this has been noted as a problem in previous forums. So that's not the issue.
Actually the iPod doesn't even stay connected to my 2010 unibody MacBook Pro when the iPod is switched over to disc mode. It immediately goes into "OK to Disconnect".
So I now have a clean iPod, and clean iTunes - all empty and essentially useless!
Anybody out there with any ideas? Plllleeeeeeeese?

  • Need Help ASAP! TV Show won't sync, required disc not found

I need some help!!! I am trying to sync a TV SHow to my iPod and I can't get it to work. For some reason in iTunes, I have to completely unplug and plug in my iPod anytime I want it to sync, pressing the sync button does not work, neither does pressing the apply button after checking the TV show that I want to sync. SInce I don't have to update any settings for music, this isn't a problem, I just unplug my iPod and plug it back in and it syncs automatically. The error message I get when trying to sync Shows, or videos or anything where you have to update is Can't sync iPod required disc not found. If someone could respond to this right away, I would appreciate it as we are going to be traveling today, and I would love to have something to watch during my four hour flight!

If you're using XP, the following document may be of some assistance:

  • The iPod cannot be synced. The required file not found"

The iPod cannot be synced. The required file not found" is this something i can fix? i have tried everything.

    Hi,
here's a work around for the "the required file cannot be found" problem when syncing
go to your 'iphoto library' in pictures,
    locate your 'originals' folder
ctrl click it and select 'create alias'
drag your 'originals alias' folder to your 'pictures' folder.
go to itunes with your ipod/iphone attached
    click your ipod/iphone
    select the 'photos' tab
next to 'sync photos from' click the drop down menu
    click 'choose folder'
    find your 'originals alias' folder
    select the photos you want.
now your ipod/iphone will now sync your photos.
    enjoy

  • IPod Sycn issue - Required files not found

My iPod has been running well for a year and a half up until the last month. I have two Libraries which make up my music collection, my main Library on my PC running Windows XP of about 11 Gigs and about a Gig on my Laptop running on Vista.
When adding music onto my iPod - 30Gig video, 4th Generation, I think - I receive a message, saying iPod "could not be synced. Required file not found." After this, my iPod stayed froze until I let the battery run down, then I restored it.
I took it into the Apple store and the guy said the problem was either a faulty USB cable or a bad song file. I knew it wasn't the USB, and it has proven not to be since, as it works fine on both comps still. I thought I found the file, one the iPod froze up on syncing a while on the laptop. Got rid of it, seemed fine.
Until last week. My music collection has been getting bigger and I think I've hit a wall. I'll load my 11.5 Gigs from my PC, then I'll be able to load about a Gig onto my iPod from the Laptop and it'll freeze. It's not one specific file, it's frozen on a number of different files. I do the upload on the laptop last because for some reason it hates to Restore the iPod (unresponsive, not freezing but iTunes stops working).
I can't figure it out, is this a software issue or is it some hardware problem I can't fix?

Hey, I've been fighting with my iPod for the last two hours with the same REQUIRED FILE NOT FOUND error. I found little help on here. Finally, I decided to connect the iPod USB cable to another USB port on my machine... is synchronizing like new... actually, it is finished. No error.
So, maybe try a different USB port. Can't hurt.
    Cheers.

  • File or assembly name SAP.Connector, or one of its dependencies not found

    Hello there,
Something very strange is overcoming me when experimenting a little bit with the SAPConnector:
I developped a class that is accessing the proxy-class generated by the SAPConnector wizard and I have put it into a class library. No problems so far.
When I am accessing the class library from into a windows application, no problems are signalized...
However when I try to execute the BAPI from another class library project, I always get the following message:
File or assembly name SAP.Connector, or one of its dependencies, was not found.
I am testing with the following configuration:
    - Visual PC 2004
    - .Net-framework 1.1 and .Net-framework 2.0
    - Visual Studio 2003 and Visual Studio 2005
I tried both SAPConnector 1.0.3 and 2.0, but both return the same message.
    Thanks in advance!
    Greetz,
    Sven

SAP.Connector.DLL (and SAP.Connector.Rfc.DLL in 2.x) must be available for the project to load. The easiest is to put the two DLLs into GAC (which is the default in NCo 2.x). You can also have them in you application directory. The reason that you don't see a problem if you are using NCo directly is the fact that VS automatically copies directly referenced DLLs into the target directory. This is not (allways) the case for inderectly referenced DLLs.

  • Please how do I fix this on my ipod nano "required file not found"

I had my computer fixed and so I had redownload itunes again. All my my music got saved to a folder as a backup.Well when I downloaded it,I put all the songs on itunes and tried to sync my ipod to add new music. But,it kept saying it won't sync since required folder is not found.I've looked everywhere online to see what to do.I tried uninstalling everything and again multiple times. The same error kept popping up.I switched to Manually manage music to see if it fixed the problem but no.A different error "the song....could be copied error ..." I switched back to sync.Nothing worked!!I tried restoring but it took so long as if it couldn't work it out.Previously I had this same computer fixed and when I downloaded again itunes it worked perfectly fine until now.Can somebody please guide me what to do?I cannot afford a new one.

How many songs do you have, and how long did you give it? I have my 16gb Nano almost to capacity, and it took between 45 minutes to an hour or so the last time I restored the whole thing.
