Really that difficult to get answers

Been a customer for a very long time.  Decided to sign up for their wireless hotspot device which was an extreme mistake.  Thought it would save some money seeing how I got rid of my home internet service. Sounded great in the beginning but then each month my charges started to get larger and larger.  I called the help service for this company and the guy who happened to take my call proceeded to tell me that maybe I should change my password.  REALLY????  I live in the country, have three houses around me who the owners happen to be old enough to not know how to hack my wireless account.  Ohhhhhh no they all of a sudden are computer hackers.  NOPE dont think so.  Since I purchased this service and have changed my account around I havent started watching videos or keeping my wireless service on during the day while my wife and I are at work.  ALL I WANT TO DO IS CANCEL THIS SERVICE.  Why does the website make it sooooooo difficult to do so?  I am so ready to leave this company after years of service.  This sucks and so does your service verizon.  In fact I wouldnt be surprised if you were secretly charging each customer like you are me....... maybe not as much but to think about it every extra 2, 3, 4 or 5 dollars times the amount of customers you have adds up.  Let me out of my contract.  I am going to SPRINT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

In the time it took you to type out that rant, you probably could have called in to cancel your service and had Sprint!!!! on the line getting everything setup so they could rip you off as well.  Lots of bark, not so much bite DONEWITHYOU!  Put on your big boy pants and cancel already!

    Steve--Sorry if this approach wasn't the best--as I said, I'm not well-versed in forum protocol-- but I did post it last week to the end of that discussion as you recommended but didn't get a response, so I wasn't sure how best to proceed from there.  Anyway, hopefully this works ok for you.  Here's a copy of the relevant exchange.     And here's my follow-up, & hopefully final, question, from last week:

    Question 2-- when I do start using the AVCHD lite, is there any one preset you can advise as the best one to use?

    What does this means: DLL C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\MOZCRT19.dll is not a valid Windows image. Please check this against your installation diskette.
    Suddenly all my tabs closed. Then Windows told me I had a gazillion infections. Then a tiny strip appeared saying it was Firefox and these little blocks started to fill up the little strip as if it were downloading something--there was no way to cancel this so I cut the power. Now when I try to use the Firefox icon, I get the message above.
    Am I supposed to remove the old Firefox stuff and start from scratch? I am stuck using Internet Explorer.
    I went to the Firefox website and tried to download it again, but McAffee jumped in and said there is something wrong with Firefox and I should register with them that I am downloading Firefox (I do not have McAffee). Then I got a security warning saying Firefox is not safe.
    I am completely at a loss as to what to do next, since I don't understand any of this mumbojumbo.

    The main problem with malware is that it uses the installation to proliferate by contacting hostile servers to download more of the same rogue code.
    Firefox doesn't have the option to "Run" a file. You can only "Save File" or "Cancel". If you downloaded it with IE8, then yes, you can run it, but that's not what I wanted you to do.
    What you should do now is to disable System Restore. You can open System Properties by hitting the Windows logo key and Pause/Break key together. Then click the "System Restore" tab. Then checkmark the box which says "''Turn off System Restore on all drives''". Reboot to clear its contents. System Restore unfortunately makes a backup of all executables which includes viruses so that when you reboot without deleting them first, System Restore reinstates them again.
    After you complete that step, run Avast and Malwarebytes again to make sure the system is clean.
    Then go to the Windows Update site (link on your start menu) and install the missing patches which enabled your machine to become infected in the first place.
    Once the system is clean, repeat step one to download Firefox again, but please do not run the file. If you don't see the option to "Save File", cancel the download, but it should be there.     Run the file after you download it to the desktop.

  • Java Communications API (JCA) is really that difficult???

    Hi everyone, I am an advanced developer for some years in Microsoft Platforms (.NET, VS6, etc.). I have used Microsoft Programs for a while and I can certainly say that I can develop serious programs.
    The reason I am posting this is that I am doing some reaserac in the usability of other programmer platforms for windows and linux.
    I turned towards Java about a month ago. I kno very well the structure of the language but I came across something very silly:
    I tried to install the javax.comm package! Ha ha ha...
    I thought SUN is a serious company (one o the largest) and I keep wondering why this package is so difficult to install. I tried every single post on the forums and nothing worked for me. I am using sdk1.4.1
    with SUN Studio One update 1 (formerly Forte, ha ha).
    IS THERE ANYONE OUT THERE THAT HAS THE API WORKING ON A WINDOWS 2000 PLATFORM (language doesn't matter but the answer -please- must be in english...) THAT CAN GIVE ME THE MAP OF FILES LIKE:
    c:\j2sdk1.4.1\bin\win32comm.dl
    c:\j2sdk1.4.1\lib\javax.comm.properties
    c:\j2sdk1.4.1\lib\ext\javax.comm
    c:\program files\java\j2re1.4.1\lib\javax.comm

    Please, I can't get this working. I need to see the damn package in the Studio so that I can work properly..

    Acneto, the jar file must be mounted and the
    the parser must be updated. If the api is installed
    correctly (finally i have it running) then the ide is
    able to compile and run programs that are associated
    with the api.That's what I've told you before...I've installed the commAPI in windows 98, Me, 2000 and XP...
    The problem with installing the API (I haven't told you before because I thought you already done it...) is with the "java home". Lots of people think that their java home is the jdk\lib and may be the c:\windows\java\lib...or other. And other people think that their java home is c:\windows\java\lib and then discover that is \jdk\lib.
    So what I always advice is to make a little problem:
    class JavaHome
    System.out.println("My java home is:"+System.getProperty("java.home"));
    }And so copy the files in the wrong place...
    (I don't know if there is a different way to update
    the parser database without adding the jar to the
    filesystem).I don't think so...anyway, you can mount the jar, update the database, and then unmount!
    I will make a post today that indicates a way of
    installing the api succesfully under win2K pro with
    j2sdk1.4.1 and Sun Studio One update 1 IDE.
    By the way, I believe that a special forum regarding
    serial and parallel port communications should be
    launced by SUN. There are just too many ppl out there
    that make such applications.I agree with you!

    If you find it, you will have it back.
    If you had find my iphone activated on the iphone BEFORE it was lost, then you may be able to track it.

    I have the same problem, my laptop was stolen with my girlfriend's icloud activated on. If the Laptop is switched on with access to the internet it will connect to icloud. How can I find out the IP's that are connected to my icloud. That lack of information who is connected to your icloud is not qool . Sorry for my english.

    Put in the serial number but was not offered an extended apple care plan. I guess if you purchase a new one because your old one is out of warranty you get a deal for $179 but you don't get a chance for an extended warranty. You don't get a new box or earbuds, just a brand new iPod. Good deal but since my first died under warranty, got a new one for free, second one I smashed the screen and got a new one for (I don't remember) and now the hard drive went and I paid $179 for a new one, I was hoping to get an extended warranty. But I guess not...

  • Is it really so difficult

    Is it really so difficult when a customerhas problems that are verified by Tech Support, to properly order replacement devices and give information regarding the shipping of the order? It was bad enough to receive a fraud verification email after almost 2 hours with tech support, but when 2 phones on same account rquired replacing, i only get the info for one of the phones.  So what did i do? I contacted Verizon 3 times today to obtain information and hopefully avoid a problem. I still never received the shipping info for the second phone. I hope it arrives as promised, but since there is an error in the automated system and no data online available i am expecting a problem.  So far i am not impressed.
    Also, is it really that hard to take a digital proof of benefits letter from the "company" (the VA) and apply my discount to my account? Instead, i am told it can take 90 days to have applied.  Not a way to show that Verizon "appreciates my service to our country " as they tell me. Nothing should take that long unless i will also receive a credit for charges back to the time of submission.  Nothing should take that long.  Would Verizon stand for waiting 90 days for payment while i "process" their submittent requestfor remittence? Of course not. But the customer isexpected to? Lets get a move on Verizon. Customers are to cone first, not the dollar.

    What is is about the .swf file that is generated from the InDesign CS5 interactive workspace that someone would get the following error message when they go to view the site I created?
    "This file may contain newer information that this viewer can support. It may not open or display correctly. Adobe suggests that you upgrade to the latest versions of our Acrobat products blah blah blah."
    The site doesn't seem to work for four Mac users, but works fine for at least one PC user.
    I'm trying to figure out how to save the .swf file down to Flash Player 9, which I've done by exporting a .fla file, then adjusting the Publish setting in Flash CS5. But that throws a wrench into the works...all the animations go haywire by continuously looping and the scale of all the text elements on the first page is much larger than it should be.

I can restore the artwork (and make my apple tv see the movie exists as well) by going into the movie library and clicking on each movie by hand, slecting get info, and then selecting enter. Now doing this 10 times in 20 days was fun and all BUT I would really like to automate the process so everytime itunes screws it up I can fix it easier.

    Try assigning Queen as the Album Artist on the compilations in iTunes on your computer.

    My iPod touch 5th gen isn't charging, when I plug in my charger I've always used. It's an apple product and a message pops up saying "This accessory may not be supported" The charger isn't the problem because my mom used her iPhone with my charger and her phone charges fine with it. For Christmas, I got a portable charger and I used it the day after Christmas for a little bit and it worked, but then 20 minutes later my brother wanted to use it. So I let him use it. Then I went to go use my normal charger instead and when I plugged it in that message popped up. It's been like this sense the day after Christmas and the only way it charges is right before I swipe right to turn my iPod all the way off I plug my charger in real fast before the message can pop up. I've tried resetting my iPod, cleaning out the area it charges, and few other things. I've also tried getting help from people that work with technology at some stores. They all told me I had to contact Apple Support Communities. I'm trying to contact you guys, but last time I did it didn't solve my problem. I really want to get an answer to be able to fix it or have it replaced. I'm 13 and saved all my money on my own to get the iPod have. It took me a long time to save and I really don't it to be broken and not be able to get it replaced. Someone please help my resolve this.
