I've tried hooking up to my pc and downloading.. And it's now on my pc, but I still cannot get on iPhone.
I've tried copying across in iTunes to no avail. It still comes up as saying the file isn't there and is only in the cloud.. And surprise surprise when I try to download from the cloud, I cannot download at this time.. Please retry.

Ah yes school boy error there out of frustration and discontent..
My issue is with music/apps/films etc not downloading from iTunes / App Store.
They initially fail and message is displayed stating unable to download / purchase at this time, yet if I retry it says I've already purchased (?) or alternatively I go to the purchased section and there they are waiting with the cloud symbol..
However some items get frozen in the download window and cannot be retried or deleted. Message appears stating to tap to retry, but even if you stole every bath and sink in the uk you'd still not have enough taps.
I post here as the iTunes guys are useless in there 'help' and have only advised posting here or phoning apple, at my expense, to explain a problem that could be rectified by forwarding my original email to a techie. However the tech team apparently don't have an email address as they're from ye olde Middle Ages..!
Anyways I digress.
So I tried sync to pc, but instead of showing the file as ready to listen/use/view, the iCloud symbol shows and I'm back to square one as the item is unable to download..
At frustration station waiting for a train from pain...
All my software is up to date, and had all worked fine prior to the last big iOS update that resulted in all the changes in display and dismay.

Netscape use to let me choose and create new profiles. after clicking on the icon for netscape i was prompted for which user profile i wanted. can i do this with firefox? also, each user profile was linked with its respective email account. can i do this through firefox as well? I need help. i have tried setting up firefox before and since i couldn't accomplish this i had given up but netscape is so old and most sites cause it to crash, i need a solution. i have 2 main profiles and 2 different email addresses. any advice or help, even not firefox related would be great

Firefox doesn't have the same type of interface for the Profile Manager that Netscape did. You might want to look at SeaMonkey ''(which uses the same Mozilla Gecko code as Firefox has)''.

Why? Why does it do this? Why? (problem with the lock thing)

I always lock my ipod mini and then put it in my bag while I'm using it, but as soon as it touches something in my bag it pauses. Should it pause with the lock on? It's really annoying as I have to unlock it to unpause it, and then it just pauses itself again. Grrrr.

If you are using an third-party headphone set, or your headphone minijack connection is slightly loose, then every time it moves, the iPod senses that and pauses the music.
It is a 'feature' to stop the music playback should you remove the headphones from the iPod. It can be a bit sensitive given the 'wrong' conditions.
No way to turn off this feature, so you'll need to experiment with keeping the jack from being jostled.

My mac is telling me when I attempt to download an HD movie from iTunes that, "This cannot be purchased in HD on this computer." this does not makesense because I have the retina display Macbook pro 15"

My mac is fully loaded, it is the brand new, a little over a year old Macbook pro. I cannot download this movie in HD because it says I cannot watch HD movies on my mac, I have done this countless times before and I don't know why i am just having this problem now. Is there a setting that I have wrong or is there a problem that needs to be corrected with my mac? I have all software and iOS up to date.

Unfortunately, Canon's most current 1080p digital cameras are plagued by the same bug: they have 5.0 as their H.264 level. This is why you can't synchronize them to the iPad version of Videos, because Apple (pretty much unnecessarily) limited the synchronizable H.264 level to 4.1.
You can fix this in two ways:
- use a third-party video player with hardware playback and iTunes File Sharing sychronization (meaning you can just drop the file in them in the App list); for example, GoodPlayer or It's Playing.
- change the H.264 level. You can do this with both recompressing (in most cases, it's not recommended) with HandBrake or (this is what you should try first) just changing the given byte with a desktop tool.
