Really tired of the same response(s) to iChat connection problems
AFter a while, the 'fixes' stop working. I have deleted preferences, changed ports, and, yet,I still have problems connecting to the AIM servers. I cannot video chat with a friend who WORKS @ APPLE, cannot hold video interviews on iChat for my podcast(s) can't transfer files via iChat. I'd use skype, but I cannot capture video, only audio. Any suggestions? [ Edited by Host ]

Allow user to take survey multiple times, but do not allow the same response
I have a requirement to allow users to take a survey multiple times, however, the answers to the survey can not be the same.
So when a user takes the survey the first time they can take a second and a third but not have the same response.

Sorry about the long title.....its my first post.
My kid just got a brand new iPod 5th generation (today from Santa) and it won't power up or charge. The only response is when I connect the USB and press the power button or front button the Battery appears with red line on left and lightning symbol below. There is no other response at all no matter what I do, including holding both buttons down for extended period. My other kid got one and it works perfectly.....I have interchanged usb cables ports etc. but still no response....I would really appreciate any help.Try:

On the same iMac wifi can be connected in Win7 but not OSX Maverick
Hi All,
I'm encountering a problem of connecting to wifi on my new iMac. I'm wondering whether anyone in the community has also encountered the same problem.
My iMac is a late 2013 model with 21.7" display bought just 2 weeks again. The OSX installed is Maverick with the latest update. I have also installed Win7 using Bootcamp.
At the beginning, the wifi connection was OK both in OSX and Win7. However, just around 1 week ago, the network connection began to fail in OSX. When logging into the Win7, I can still connect to my router through the wifi and everything is OK. This at least can proves that the wireless adapter in the iMac itself doesn't malfunction and the router works fine. Also all the other devices in my home connects to the same router through wifi has no problem including 2 iPhone5, 1 iPhone4S, 1 iPhone4 and a MBA 2012 model.
However, whenever I switched to the OSX any try to connect to the wifi ends in a failure. The SSID of the network is displayed in the visible network list still but not connectable. By clicking the name and after a while for the iMac to try to connect, a message saying "network cannot be joined" will pop up. Even by running the network diagnosis and specifying a static ip address for the iMac won't help. And I have also tried out some tricks in the community but all seemed not work.

I strongly suspect this is time machine-related. Even though time machine has been turned off, this happens at intervals of exactly one hour.
A single entry appears in the kernel log at the precise moment the (first) popup error box appears. This is:
"AppleSRP started."
Anyone have any clue how to go about diagnosing or fixing this? I don't even mind trying something brute force (short of wiping the HD and reinstalling lion, which I really DON'T want to do; I don't mind a non-destructive reinstall). -
Have 2 ipads setup the same but 1 no longer connects to the network. Have reset network settings and tried to reconnect but no luck. Any advice?
Have you tried rebooting your wireless router by removing power from it for about 30 seconds, then powering it back up?

When I try to play videos on Apple's website, "missing plug-ins" appears. The same happens when I try to play Apple trailers. Other "users" on the same iMac don't have this problem.

AirPort Express wireless connection, when I surf the news sites so I linked to **** pages. And must close the window. If I use my iPhone with Internet sharing the same computer, then I have no problem.
I believe that it is in AirPort Express, and would have to clean it. How do you do that?You need to use the Express in router mode.. I think you are trying to use it in bridge mode.. but you need to give us a lot more details.. screenshots might help more than anything.

We have PCI-6110 S series installed in our computer. We are planing to purchase PCI-6024 E series card. They will be both installed at the same computer.

1) Using Traditional NI-DAQ, there could be problems with the fact that the NI-DAQ driver is not multi-threaded; meaning that while waiting for one operation to complete, the driver could cause another operation to time out. On the other hand, DAQmx is multi-threaded, and would eliminate this problem. At the time of this writing though, DAQmx does not yet support simultaneous-sampling boards like the PCI-6110S. A good solution then would be to use Traditional DAQ for the 6110S and DAQmx for the E-series board, and they would by default run in separate threads.
2) No, using a PCI E-Series board, the LabVIEW VI would have to run in a Windows OS and would not be Real Time or run deterministically. You can run the PID program in Windows, but the
results could be inconsistent. The advantage of a Real Time is that the OS is deterministic or that the OS allows you to tightly control or determine the maximum time any function takes to operate. This kind of control of the maximum operation time is not possible with non-Real Time OSs such as Windows.

i have problem that changes i make wont be saved it all goes back to the same date that i had this problem for EX: when i ever change my desktop photo and reopen the macbook it goes back to the same photo that i had before.
Might be corrupted preferences ..
Open the Finder. From the Finder menu bar click Go > Go to Folder
Type or copy paste the following:
~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.desktop.plist
Click Go then move the com.apple.desktop.plist file to the Trash.
Restart your Mac and try changing the desktop photo. -
Multiple possibilities for the same response
Is it possible to make an IF statement accept multiple responses in a console application...

Console.ReadLine();There are any # of ways to solve this issue. When you have code that you want to reuse then consider moving it to a function. It can then be called as needed. If you want to loop through the same block of code over and over again then use a do-while
or a while loop.
For the specific case where you want multiple conditions to cause a set of code to execute then you can use the logical operators && and ||. But since you're specific example is calling a function you'll need to first store the results of the
function in a variable that you can then compare against multiple results (so the function doesn't execute multiple times). This is another good case for a function.
For your specific case you are actually building a state machine so it probably makes more sense to go that route. In a state machine you define the different possible states (InHouse, AtHouseDoor, etc). For each one you define a set of possible "inputs"
that will trigger a response. The response is generally the transition to a new state. For example if the user is in front of the door to a house you might be in the AtHouseDoor state. For this state you might define the inputs like "Open",
"Enter", "Use Door", etc. For all these inputs you would transition to the InHouse state. Moving to a new state would trigger some sort of output to the user. State machines make it a lot easier to manage the states of
your app and extend them as needed.
Implementing a state machine isn't too hard but you'll probably do better to use either an existing state machine (Workflow has one and I believe several people have created C# versions as well) or using a simple dictionary that maps states to a list of
inputs along with their actions (functions).

Ofcourse Im complaining Im using apple devices since ios3 but I havent seen such bugs yet. Firtly think about a play list that have a videomusic(m4a or smt like this format) that bought from iTunes and there are other musics that are mp3. When i started to play the m4a music and i locked my device the music stops and after i start on lock screen it continues to play the song that after the m4a seems playing on lock screen but the sound of song doesnt come. This happens everytime eventhough i shuffle songs or not. Play on my iphone or my ipod or my brother's iphone. Second sometimes shazam app closes it self on my devices(iphone,ipod) or the app that I closed opens it self again then i close 3 times then it openes 3 times then stops. There are a lots of other bugson my iphone and ipod touch that i even cant count .
