Realplayer download

I have a realplayer download – "untitled.flv" from facebook
I would like to edit the movie and be able to burn it to a DVD.
IDVD and Disk Utility will not let me import.
I tried to open in QT Pro – says, “The file is not a movie file.”
VLC will open it and view– still can’t burn it
Can someone tell me how to make it a QT movie or import it into iMovie?

You need to install Perian from http://perian.org/
before you can play them in Quicktime.
You should read this support page http://perian.org/#support in case you need to delete older codecs.
To edit them in iMovie you first need to convert them to to DV which iMovie is designed to handle. For that you need mpegStreamclip:
http://www.apple.com/downloads/macosx/video/mpegstreamclip.html
which is free.

  • RealPlayer download feature not working in Firefox (but works in IE)

Realplayer download feature (cursor over a youtube video, "download this video" pops up) has recently quit working for me (I've been using it for months). I've searched knowledge bases and forums extensively and tried all the suggestions., such as rolling back from Flash Player 11.5 to 10.3 (no luck), disabling/enabling RealPlayer Download plugin in Firefox (no luck), etc. The one suggestion I'd like to try but can't is going into RealPlayer preferences and enabling/disabling the "Download and Record" function. I can't because all I have in my preferences is "Recording" and the options have nothing to do with downloading. None of the RealNetworks/RealPlayer support sites are helpful at all...
However, the download feature works just fine in Internet Explorer

Realplayer download does not work in Firefox. Someone suggested ant.com as an add-on. That works.
For youtube I use YTD downloader (a youtube product). It is more reliable for youtube videos.

  • Can't get rid of Realplayer download app

I downloaded the RealPlayer download app and then decided it was annoying and wanted to get rid of it. I dragged it to the trash but it keeps coming back. I searched around and found it in the RealNetworks folder in the library and deleted it from there but still it came back. I even tried using a digital shredder to get rid of it but still it came back. I'm thinking there's an important file somewhere that I should delete to get rid of it altogether but I can't figure out where to find it. I'm tempted to delete/uninstall everything that has to do with Realplayer altogether but that seems a bit drastic. Any ideas?

The downloader.app should reside in /Library/Application Support/RealNetworks/. If that's the one you deleted, then the only other possibility is that there's a login item in Accounts. AFAICT, there aren't any other components scattered about.

  • Realplayer "Download this Video" doesn't work on Firefox

Realplayer "Download this Video" doesn't work on the latest vesrion of Firefox

I upgraded Firefox from the latest to the latest. I have all the current flash plugins and reverted to RealPlayer 15 because I'd lost all my thumbnails in Windows explorer with RealPlayer 16.
Funny how RealPlayer 15 works fine with Internet Explorer and not Firefox. Everything worked very well up until this current cycle of continuous upgrades with FF and the addons. Two upgrades ago (on everything) everything worked perfectly. Now, everything is questionable.
Believe me, I have tried everything, every combination to fix this without something else going haywire and it can't be done at this point.
If I want to download vidoes in RealPlayer I use Internet Explorer 8, for everything esle I try to use Firefox, but quite frankly it's slower than Internet Explorer.

  • RealPlayer "Download This Video" Button shows up all over the page

When I roll my mouse across a page "Download This Video" shows up at all kinds of places where there is no video. Not a problem in V3.6
    I use Win7.

    Sorry, but both the:
"Download This Video to Real Player" appears in the FlashPlayer right-click context menu"
    http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/402/kb402905.html
    and the:
"Content creators are currently able to prevent this button from appearing by publishing content as ActionScript 3.0 or by passing FlashVars to the SWF file through HTML. "http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/402/kb402905.html
forum threads give the 404 Error page.
Is it still possible to prevent RealPlayer from downloading any swf???
I'm developing in the Flex 3.5 framework and see this annoying RealPlayer download button.
For me, it's not even a matter of securing my copyrights, but of giving the user a smooth experience. This RealPlayer annoying button just gets in the middle of my navigation buttons, just to say "Video cannot be downloaded"... Apart from bothering my users, it spoils my desing. It's very frustrating.
    Thx guys

  • Realplayer downloader

Since I updated Firefox, I have been unable to utilize my realplayer downloader. I tried the several suggestion on the FAQ page, but to no satisfaction.

Ever since Real Player became Real Player Cloud, my downloader has
not worked. A big lose. Now I use Download Managers. They work
very well with Firefox. I have several that work independent from Firefox
letting me browse instead of waiting for the file transfer.
In the address bar, type '''about:crashes'''<enter>.''' Note:''' If any reports do not
have '''BP''' in front of the numbers/letters, click it and select '''Submit'''.
Using your mouse, '''mark''' the most '''resent 7 - 10''' crash reports, and
'''copy''' them. Now go to the reply box below and '''paste''' them in.

  • For frequent connection dropouts try removing "realplayer downloader" from

Try removing real player downloader from your personal account login items (found in: apple menu, preferences, account, login items. Click on it and then click "-" to remove it, then restart computer.) Apparently this item is the gremlin in the system as far as wireless networking for Apple. It was installed as part of a large Real Player package.
I just innocently installed it today, and all these problems cropped up, including the request for WEP passwords (which I don't use). I had no problems previous to this installation. I checked this forum, and Steve Eson related his phone call to Apple on one earlier reply. No one confirmed his suggestion, but I think it may be the culprit. If it works for you, respond with a hallelujah!

    Hallelujah!
These dropouts have plagued me for a week now. I have tried everything to stop them happening, updated modem, tested airport card, turned off Time Capsule, removed Time Capsule, changed channel on modem, uninstalled everything and re-installed it - nothing worked.
I wanted to remove Realplayer downloader because it is irritating and I'm not sure how it came to be installed in the first place (I only wanted to update Real Player) and I came across this. I can't believe you have sorted two problems in one!
    Thanks so much. Hallelujah indeed!

  • I can't get Realplayer Downloader to run on my XP Pro machine even though the add-on is installed and enabled.

The Downloader works with IE8 but not with Firefox, however the Download Helper does work with Firefox (I just like Realplayer's version better). I'd appreciate any suggestions. Thank You! WW

    Ah, okay. I understand now.
There's a couple of things you could try:
*Try disabling all your your themes, add-ons and plug-ins that are not RealPlayer specific to see if that solves the problem. Do this in [[Safe Mode]]. If doing this gets RealPlayer to work with Firefox, then one of your themes, add-ons or plug-ins (or a combination of two or more of them) are conflicting with the RealPlayer functionality. <br /><br />
*If you can use RealPlayer in Firefox successfully with a new (unenhanced) profile, or in your standard profile with all themes, add-ons and plug-ins disabled, then try enabling them, one a a time, and restarting the browser after each to test each one sequentially. You should be able to narrow down which one or combination is causing the problem that way.
*If you cannot use RealPlayer in Firefox with a new and unenhanced profile, or with all themes, add-ons and plug-ins disabled, then the issue may be that the RealPlayer product simply does not function as intended. The fact that RealPlayer support has a support page dedicated to the problem seems to indicate the problem is on their end, rather than with Firefox.

  • How to transfer RealPlayer downloads from a windows 8 desktop computer to iphone 5 s

    I have 2 Problems:
    1.
How to transfer downloads I made through RealPlayer on my Windows 8 desktop Computer onto my iPhone 5 s ?
    2.
How to transfer purchases I made through ITunes on my Windows 8 Desktop Computer onto my iPhone 5 s ?
    Thank you.

Bah, no reports in your System Details. No matter.
Can you give me your crash reports?
#Enter ''about:crashes'' in the Firefox address bar and press Enter. A Submitted Crash Reports list will appear, similar to the one shown below.
#Copy the '''5''' most recent Report IDs that start with '''bp-''' and paste them into your response here.

I'm assuming you can uninstall it from your computer on the Control Panel's Remove Programs feature.

  • Realplayer download for TungstenE using Mac computer

I have a Mac and would like to listen to MP3 files on my TungstenE, but I cannot find the RealOnePlayer (or RealPlayer for Palm) software for the TungstenE that is compatible with Macs.  The handbook directs me to a support site for the TungstenE that no longer exists (www.palm.com/support/tungstenE). The link for the Photos, Music & Videos Guide is also obsolete.
Is RealPlayer already on  the CD-Rom desktop software for the TungstenE? and if so, what do I need to do to get it onto my handheld?
    Thank you.
    Post relates to: Tungsten E

RealPlayer for Palm can be found here.  It requires a Real Player music store account to access the download, which you can create for free.  But the instructions don't include MAC info.  Maybe there's a .zip file download which has the necessary files instead of having to run an .exe installation package.
Another free audio player is TCPMP.  Google it, and get it at the first Google link...you'll want the Palm OS package of files which comes as a .zip download. You need the main application file and whichever plug-ins you plan to use.  C'mon back with any questions you might have if you go this route.

  • Downloadhelper and Realplayer download features will not work properly with Firefox 5 with will with Firefox 4 do I switched back.

Upon installing Firefox 5 then trying Download helper the download feature of Download helper worked but when trying the download and convert feature it led my to other sites to download further programs for which the new site asked me to install Firefox fist (which was already loaded), dead end.
With Realplayer there was no longer the option to download the video with Firefox 5.
When I deleted Firefox 5 and reloaded Firefox 4.0 both of the above problems vanished; now everything works fine.

  • The realplayer downloader problem, brand new solution and sure-fire fix for 5.0 and possibly 6.0!

I've been bummed about not being able to use real player downloader plugin for some time and every solution that was posted didn't work so I went looking for my own. I found something on real.com called RealDownloader. It's a completely different program from RealPlayer, but it allows you to download again without having to uninstall RealPlayer. Type http://www.realdownloader.com/ into the search bar and download the program for free! Happy downloading! :)
