Realplayer messed up my ipod.Videos appear on songs.please help!
the other day i was trying to put some songs on my ipod
my friend opened up realplayer and im not sure what happened
now my videos appears on songs
and my video podcasts don't appear at all
when im looking at all my songs on itunes.
it doesn't show any video icon by them
like it use to

You may have some success getting the songs off your iPod by using the instructions/suggestions here.
Music from iPod to computer.
After that, you need to restore the iPod by the sound of things.

Hi.
I have a 30 GIG iPod Video 5th gen, with the latest iPod updater software installer on it.
But when I look at the iPod preferences, when it's plugged in via USB, all Video options (manual vs automatic etc) are all greyed out and not available for selection.
And I can't drag any videos onto the iPod (even with the right video format!).
It's like the iPod itself doesn't recognised that it is an Video one, like it has a complex and can only deal with music and photos.
Can anyone help or offer advice?

Even with the iPod set to manual, I couldn't drag iPod format videos directly onto it.
Did a factory restart, and it has fixed the problem.
And just a note; the options in the video tab will always be greyed out, when the iPod is set to manually update songs.

IPod Nano manually manage songs - please help
I've set iPod to manually manage as I have music on home computer and have purchased music on the office computer since we have DSL. I have tried to drag each purchased song from Library to my iPod in the source list but they never show up once I disconnect. What am I doing wrong?
Nano Windows XPHave you played the songs in iTunes for a few seconds? This will authorize them. Now sync your iPod. Do they play?
If not, make sure everything is up to date on your computer and iPod..

If that doesn't work, in iTunes, go to advanced-->deauthorize computer. Now play the songs in iTunes. It will ask for your account information (from the iTunes Music Store). Enter that. Now play a few purchased songs for a few seconds. Sync your iPod. Do the songs work now?

ITunes doesn't see my iPod video 30 gb! Please help me!
When i connect by usb 2.0 my iPod, the pc see the iPod as an external drive and It seems to be empty, while iTunes says that there isn't any iPod connected. The latest iPod software is installed. Opening the iPod while it isn't connected to the pc, there isn't any file but in the settings is written that almost 10 gb are full and 20 gb are free: this should be ok because before that these problems appeared that was the memory used. Of course I can't update the iPod or reset it to default because the iPod updater doesn't see any iPod connected to the pc while it is really connected... Well, windows sees my iPod while iTunes doesn't see it so i can't make any operation on the iPod and when it isn't connected to the pc i can't listen to the music... Please sombody help me!

Short version:
Best Performance is for videos of up to 60 minutes
Best Quality is for videos of up to 120 minutes
Professional Quality is also for up to 120 minutes but even higher quality (and takes much longer)
That was for single-layer DVDs. Double these numbers for dual-layer DVDs.
Professional Quality: The Professional Quality option uses advanced technology to encode your video, resulting in the best quality of video possible on your burned DVD. You can select this option regardless of your project’s duration (up to 2 hours of video for a single-layer disc and 4 hours for a double-layer disc). Because Professional Quality encoding is time-consuming (requiring about twice as much time to encode a project as the High Quality option, for example) choose it only if you are not concerned abo
In both cases the maximum length includes titles, transitions and effects etc. Allow about 15 minutes for these.
You can use the amount of video in your project as a rough determination of which method to choose. If your project has an hour or less of video (for a single-layer disc), choose Best Performance. If it has between 1 and 2 hours of video (for a single-layer disc), choose High Quality. If you want the best possible encoding quality for projects that are up to 2 hours (for a single-layer disc), choose Professional Quality. Choppy video on big screens PLEASE HELP!
I've noticed that the videos that I have exported from CS3 are very smooth when played on a computer screen and average size tv screen, but are very choppy if played on a large TV or projected on the wall. Is there a way to remedy this? Please help!

How is the large-screen projector connected, via a set-top DVD player to it, or by a computer connected to it? If it's via a set-top player, is it the same one used for the small-screen TV, or a different one? What is the make and model of the set-top player(s)?
Also, what DVD media was used, and what was the burn speed used to create the DVD? Was this authored in Encore, or with some other authoring application?

- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.

IPod video appears to be Corrupt
after i install the new iTune
the itune updated my ipod video
but after that i say it is corrupt but my ipod still can play video and music.

Windows XPIf you're still within the 1 year warranty then I recommend that you take it to your Apple store and get it replaced immediately.
What happens when you put it in disk mode? If you only see the 'ok to disconnect' then possibly your dock connector is fried or something.
This is exactly what happened to me but I didn't realize it until after the 1 year warranty expired. My ipod charges and plays the existing songs but I can no longer add anything to my ipod.

I am new to IPods. I have a Classic 160GB and I can't figure out how to load Music Videos to iTunes or the IPod. I have had no problem loading my CD's to iTunes and to the IPod, but no go on the Music Videos.

Ok. Here's the results. I tried all the music videos I wanted to put onto the IPod and the results were:
I was able to get good results with 2 full length music videos and 2 video singles(only 2 videos on each disk). For a total of 4 videos.
I was able to encode 5 full length music videos, but the results were distorted (video and audio).
I was unable to copy 2 full length videos due to error failures. 1 was a "No Title Found" error, the other was a "NAVDAT" error.
I guess my next question is: Do you know of any other program(s) that I might try, to see if I can get good results with the videos that didn't work with Handbrake?

My video ipods album artwork keeps switching please help!
for certain songs the album artwork is another bands album artwork and its all messed up and i tryed everything I did the five r's and i deleted all the album artwork updated my ipod then put all the album artwork back on and updated it again and it still does it for some reason please help im probably going to take it in to the apple store.

IPod Video problem with songs not playing
I received a 30GB iPod video for christmas today and accidently made a mistake while configuring it. Since I had an old iPod I figured that i wouldn't have to insert the enclosed CD and therefore I connected my iPod to my computer. The iPod icon never came up on my desktop so, left with no other choice i had to unplug it with the dreaded "do not disconnect" on the screen. Now, I can put songs on the iPod but it won't play them. The time bar at the bottom of the iPod screen simply sits at :00 as long as i leave the iPod on. HELP!!
