RealPlayer video downloads are "Blank"

I have an HP desktop running Vista Home Premium and Norton Internet Security. If I use RealPlayer as my internet browser, on some websites I can download short videos then play them back using RealPlayer. But on other websites, when I try to download short videos (under 5 min), it looks like everything is downloading properly and a file is created on my PC, with a reasonable looking MB file size, but when I try to play it in RealPlayer, it's blank and there is no audio for the full length of the clip. How can I download and play back these videos? Thanks.

For MP4, try downloading Quicktime, which will load the correct codec for you.

Try a reset Carole ...
Reset the device:
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
If that doesn't help, tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings

My video's are blank w/audio when imported to computer!! How do I fix this???

I have a iPhone 4s. Sence the ios6 update when I import my videos they are blank w/audio now.

I am guessing that there is also something "new" in the way videos are recorded using the iPhone since the phone was updated. I just don't think there is a simple way to revert the iPhone software back to the way it was, so the easier path for now is to go back to an earlier Quicktime. "Old" Quicktime works with both "old" and "new" iPhone software (with respect to this issue at least), but "new" Quicktime only works with "old" iPhone software. The solution will come when Apple figures out there is a problem and fixes Quicktime. I suppose Apple could revise the iPhone software to revert it back as well . . .

Keynote video thumbnails are blank.

I have placed video clips into my slides, but the tiles are blank. How can I get a thumbnail scene to give me a visual representation of the video I'm about to play? I've loaded the mp4 files into the library and then synced through the Photos tab in iTunes. I have inserted and sized them with the media option. They play fine, but there is no thumbnail visible on the slide, so I am shooting in the dark. Any suggestions? Thanks

Are you trying to view Silverlight or WMV content? If so, you need the appropriate internet plugin: Silverlight or something called "Flip4Mac."

IMovie 10.0.4 imported video clips are blank and green?

I've imported video clips successfully from a VHS player & from a few DVD's to iMovie 10.0.4. However, the most recent DVD I've wanted to import doesn't work. The original DVD is in UDF format. I converted it to MP4.4 format, and the first time I played it in iMovie, it worked fine. But the second time I played it, the whole clip was super jittery like it was skipping every 0.5 seconds. Then the third time I played it, the clip was just a blank green screen. I've tried using the most recent version of HandBreak to convert the DVD to a different format that supposedly iMovie can read, but the same thing happens when it's imported into iMovie - just a blank green clip. What am I doing wrong?? Thanks all.

Same issue I've seen. I have a Sony DCR-TRV30. Had 40 tapes to transfer to iMovie 10.0.6. Had no issue on first 16 tapes then all the sudden I experienced the audio/video timing issue. Video looks good when it is getting imported, audio/video in sync on camera and in preview window on iMovie while importing. Tape finishes and you start to watch import when beginning of tape is in sync and by end it is several seconds out of sync. Tried deleting and installing iMovie again and that didn't help.

I had to do a complete uninstall and reinstall of my up-t0-date Firefox due to another problem (it would only open one window), but after reinstalling my extensions, their icons were not displaying.
I uninstalled and reinstalled again, but the Personas Plus fox will not display in the status bar, and the Video Download Helper icon will not display in the Navigation toolbar, and is not available in the Customize Toolbars menu.

Downloads and Podcasts count numbers/fields are blank

The number field that is next to podcasts (the number of unplayed episodes in library) is blank... just an empty oval.
The same thing is true of my Downloads count.
If I were to open the Podcasts or Download windows, everything shows up, but under the regular view they are blank.
My iTunes library is on an external HD connected via Firewire.
I use the same library on another computer, and there the counts are fine. Both computers have the same version of iTunes running, 8.0.2.
Should I delete my Preferences file on the one computer? Which file would it be... User/Library/com.apple.iTunes.plist?

I haven't launched iMovie in a while, and I've used iPhoto to import many videos from my iPhone's Camera Roll since the last time I launched and used iMovie.
iMovie prompted me to create/update the thumbnails for my iPhoto videos, along with indicating no iPhoto videos will be available with iMovie until this is completed.
Not sure how to do this manually, but this may be your problem.

Using Sothink video downloader, normally by default my video files are save in FLV extension. Now for whatever reason suddenly my video files are save in .ebm extension & I can't open my video file. "Save file Type As" -to select file extension does not seem to work -

It's a WEBM video file. My solution was to rename the file to have .webm extension, and play it with the latest VLC Player (2.1, but I think any from 1.1 and upper will solve it too). Just associate .ebm with VLC didn't work. I had to rename the files so VLC knew exactly what that thing was.
By the way, it worked the same way with a .eam file (!), I just renamed the extension to .webm.

I downloaded an iBook but the first 8 chapters are blank with an error of rendering message

I down loaded an iBook and th first 8 chapters are blank and the pages have a rendering error. I have rebooted and sometimes get part of the pages then they disappear when I go forward or back.

Have you tried deleting the book and re-downloading it ? If it's the only book that you've got in the iBooks app then you could try deleting the app and re-downloading that and the book.

Regardless of whether or not you 'like' downloading and installing software on your computer, Canon DOES HAVE software available for your specific camera and it IS compatible with recent versions of the Mac OS X operating system. Maybe try that instead of whining here about it not being compatible.
