Realtek HD Audio Issue

Hello fellows,
Unfortunately I've been having problems with my Realtek HD Audio (includes THX TruStudio Pro and Dynaudio Premium Sound Technology) with my Windows 8 x64 MSI GT70 whenever I open up a game file and start playing for 1-2 minutes (WoW, Diablo III, SCII). I've tried all the different settings in the Audio Manager but it didn't help.
For WoW, I seem to have resolved most of the problem (an issue with the sound where makes clicking and buzzing noises) when I opened up the loading screen and chose to open it in 32-bit instead. Unfortunately, SCII or Diablo III don't have that option in the loading screen. For WoW, the problem is mostly gone but an occasional click here or there comes, a lot softer than before. Before, it was unbearable so I had to turn the sound off completely.
Anyone have suggestions to stop it for good? I'd appreciate the help. I've already reinstalled everything concerning the audio system, it says it is working properly, and I have the latest driver (also tried disabling THX) and the problem still arose after that. I've also tried to run the programs in compatability mode but that didn't work either. Everything else aside from games sound just fine. In any case, changing to the 32-bit helped with WoW. How can I do that for the others?
Cheers,
A

Thanks for the suggestions. Even with the default sound driver, I still experience the problem. I contacted MSI and they think it may be a hardware issue. That was the only thing they said. I have my doubts, however. If it was a hardware problem then why don't I have any audio problems when playing music or watching videos?
Anyone have any other ideas? I really don't want to send the computer away, going through that effort and then to find out that it wasn't a hardware problem after all

  • Having issues with Realtek HD Audio Manager, need help

Sorry if I am in the wrong section for this,
I just got a Z87-G45 MB (v1.10) latest is: 1.30 which has the Realtek HD Audio onboard, now to the problem:
I have the Logitech Z906 speakers which is a 5.1 setup and I have them plugged through the Digital S-PDIF/out on the back panel (Green) but the problem is, the computer isn't detecting the speakers and since it doesn't detect them, I don't have the option tab to manage the audio settings in the Realtek HD Audio Manager Control Panel so that I can set it to 5.1/2.1/quad, etc. Even when I disconnect/connet the digital cable, it doesn't detect that it's been disconnected/connected and the speakers appear as "Ready" in the Playback Devices menu .
Another problem I have is that there's audio, but the audio level is way too low, even at 100% and I think this has to do with me not being able to set up Realtek to 5.1.
When I plugged my headphones through the front panel, everything worked fine and the option to set up the audio for stereo, etc. appeared.
I did a rollback on the Realtek HD Audio Drivers
    Current: 6.0.1.6873
    Latest: 6.0.1.6959
    Things I've done:
1.Re-install Realtek drivers from motherboard CD
    2.Update drivers
3.Disconnect/connect the cable to see if the computer would recognize it
4.Check the Playback Devices, choose Digital SPDIF green as default
    5.Turned off all enhancements
6.Set the Realtek Digital Audio level to 100% in the properties tab
I'll provide some screenshots of what I see:
What I should be able to see:
    Also:

Try this.  Right click on the Audio icon in the tray.  Then, click  Properties.  This opens the 'Sounds and Audio Devices Properties'.  Check all of the settings to assure they are correct.  You may have to change the settings one at a time to see if one of them does the trick.  When I have had a problem with the speakers not being recognized, it was incorrect speakers chosen.

  • HP update of Realtek HD audio SP64224 version. 6.0.1.7071 fails -5009 : 0x8002802b

    Hi,
Just got ouf of the box HP Pavilion 15-n056so.
    EDIT: product number F4C38EA#UUW
All windows 8.0 updates available was installed, then 8.1 windows update was installed.
    Origin and battlefield4 was installed.
I used HP Support Assistance to install those drivers and programs it suggested but ran into problems with Realtek update SP64224. This fails. I tried to find more details but none in event viewer.
Did some searching and found from HP sites the same driver package separately downloadable.

When I tried to install this manually (not using HP Support Assistant), I got error:

Did some searching again and found some discussions where realtek hd audio should be uninstalled from the Programs and Features. Did that , rebooted, tried again installing through HP Support Assistance + manually and faced same problem again.
    I tried renaming folders:
    C:\Program Files\Realtek -> C:\Program Files\Realtek_old
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Realtek\Audio -> C:\Program Files (x86)\Realtek\Audio_old
änd then running installation manually again. Same problem.
I know what error code means, but why it appears is mystery as well as how it could be installed successfully.
I am also little worried, that when and if the update is done I might face other issues like:
    http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Display-and-Video/video-driver-stopped-responding/td-p/3270697...
I do not know completely what benefit it brings to update the driver to the one suggested by HP support Assistance. It is purely annoying that I can't get the update done as there should not be anything disturbing the installation + the exclamaison mark is extremely annoying as well.
has anyone else had this kind of problem?
Any ideas how to resolve the problem?
    Thank you for assistance.

  • Is it possible to install Realtek HD Audio Manager over BeatsAudio

    Hello,
I recently bought an HP Envy 700qe PC and I'm really happy with it and its specification except for the fact that comes with BeatsAudio. I tried setting it up like my previous e9240f desktop where you can manage the sorrund  speakers since I have dual z-5500's, but the sound is just horrible and somotimes there's no sound coming out of the sorround speakers. I tried installing the Realtek HD Audio Manager after deleting BeatsAudio, but nothing shows after I restart. My current system comes with an IDT High Definition Audio Codec so I'm thinking that's why it doesn't recognize the Realtek Codec when I download it.
Also, if there's no way to download the Realtek HD Audio Manager, will it be easier to just install an Asus Mio-892 HD Card or a Creative SB1350 or both just disable one decide which one is better even though I'm sure I won't be able to use Realtek HD Manager on the Creative Either. And also do these audio cards take too much power. My system has a 500watt power system or would I need to upgrade the power as well?
Any help would be highly appriciated.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hello @Jccr510,
Yes that ASUS MIO-892 will indeed work on your computer and will give you the Realtek HD Audio Manager that you are looking for.

  • Realtek AC97 Audio CutOff (ALC655)!

    Hi,
After a month from replacing my mainboard (old board was fried during system shutdown along with PSU), I am starting to experience these weird problems...
I use the onboard AC97 codec on my MSI 865PE Neo2 mainboard which is manufactured by Realtek and reported by the driver as an ALC655 codec...
It all started a week ago when I was playing Far Cry when the all sounds suddenly went dead  , I simply exited Far Cry and re-opened it and it was fixed for a while when it went dead once more, so I exited and tried to run WinAmp and listen to my MP3s and again problem was fixed...
But I can't remember exactly when, maybe 2-3 days ago when the sounds starting going dead after a few seconds or a few minutes in ALL DirectX games (RedAlert 2, Toy Story 2 , Generals, Far Cry...everything!), even when running WinAmp, it would suddenly stop playing, and clicking on Play again did absolutely nothing! (does the same with WMP), even MS-DOS based games (ex: RedAlert 1) lose sound, Yet when I logoff Windows XP and logon again, it works once more but cuts off again after a few seconds.) !!
    Here's what I've tried:
    1. Re-install DirectX 9.0c
    2. Re-install Realtek AC97 Audio drivers (original one on mainboard CD)
    3. Decreased Sound Acceleration to in DXDIAG
    4. Did a fresh install of XP on another partition with just system drivers...
--> And still the same problem !
    Note:
    1. Even when the sound is dead, when I logoff, Windows XP is magically able to play the logging off sound ! But when I re-logon and start (eg: Far Cry), the sound is immediately cut off after a few seconds !
    2. If I continue to play even after the sound is dead, I can occasionally hear the sound suddenly popping back on for just a fraction of a second playing sounds that were supposed to be played when it cut off..., but it doesn't keep that way and pops dead again..
Any suggestions ?? Any help will be really appreciated...

    Hey guys !!
--> I just finished downloading this file from MSI LiveMonitor !
    >>>> Here's what I've done just now:
--> I removed Realtek AC97 Audio from Windows Device Manager...
--> Downloaded Realtek 5.10.0.5750 driver from MSI LiveUpdate....

--> It asked for a reboot but I refused...
--> Running my whole MP3 collection in WinAmp!.. Seems that the problem's fixed !!

  • Audio issue with A605, RE: Input/mic monitor

I recently purchased a Portege A605-200, with Realtek HD audio and Vista.
Trying to solve a problem that I've found, in my several days of research, seems quite common with Realtek.  Simply, I cannot monitor my microphone input, realtime, through my headset or onboard speakers.  I can record fine, I just can't hear my voice, as you would be able to in any studio recording environment. This is a feature I need desperately, due to conference call recordings I make, via Skype, and realtime backup recordings I must make to Mini Disk.
Many solutions I've seen on the net require a registry edit, but I've not found one that works for me.  Not afraid of the registry, just can't find the right edit.
Things get bleaker as I quote a Realtek technician (level one?) who wrote after several emails back-and-forth:  "I'm sorry. The Microphone A-A Path function had been removed from your system . This is TOSHIBA requirement . So, you can not hear the microphone sound immediately.  Best regards, PC-Tech AT ."
And I'm wondering "What the heck is the 'A-A Path function'"?  Hardware/wiring issue?  Software?  Something to do with preventing feedback due to the onboard mic and speakers?   Registry edit solution?  Vista issue (never happened with XP)?  Heck if I know.
I'm at a total loss and quite weary. I'm considering buying a Cakewalk Roland UA-1G USB Audio Interface or some other audio interface to replace the onboard audio.  What else can I do?
Would NEVER have bought this computer had I suspected it would be impossible to record and monitor the mic input, as I have been able to do with every other computer I've ever had.  I'm just praying somebody can save me some grief and money and provide a solution or suggestion.
    Thanks much for reading this.
    Rick L.
PS  Updated the bios and loaded up the latest drivers from Realtek and Vista SP2.  No luck.

No, I am using my Roland VS 1680. I am inputting audio from this recording unit to final cut using firewire. I can see the volume meter reading the input signal and when I capture, I actually record it onto final cut. Playback after capture is fine.
The issue is that I am unable to preview my audio stream through the speakers. I have gone to preferences on the apple menu checked off my input as firewire and output as built in audio.
I have noticed in my LOG AND CAPTURE screen (clip settings) the PREVIEW box is dark and not allowing me to check this off. I am assuming this might be why I cant preview audio.

  • No sound from laptop speakers after Windows update installed Realtek HD Audio

Laptop is HP6626US with Windows Vista 32 bit SP2.
I had an error with Windows Update which was recently fixed.  When I ran the update Realtek HD Audio was installed, among many other items.  I now have the red circle white X by my speaker icon and do not get any sound out of internal speakers.
    The Driver version is 6.0.1.6662
    Direct X version 11.0
    Audio Codec ALC 268
In Device Manager Under Sound, video and game controllers Realtek HD Audio is listed with Unimodem Half Duplex Audio Device if that is helpful.
    Help Appreciated.

    Hello,PaulM25.
I see that you're having an issue with the sound on your notebook. Typically this means the Drivers don't exist and can also be considered as a hardware issue.
I have a couple of questions for you before we get going.
This is your notebook (HP Pavilion dv6626us Entertainment) correct?
Did this issue occur after you updated the audio drivers?
Now, you can go ahead and try these steps to resolve the issue.
Please completely remove the drivers for the Audio Device in Device Manager and “Control Panel – Programs and Features”.
    Reboot the computer.
Please check if the device will be installed automatically after the computer starts. If not, please go to Device Manager and then navigate to the Audio Device, right click on it and choose “Update Driver software”
If the issue persists, please try to manually install the device driver which comes with the computer to see if it works. (You can also go to HP website to install the drivers. If you cannot find it, please give me the detail information of the device or the computer, such as brand, model, etc., I will help you search for the proper driver.)

  • Premiere Elements 9 audio issue

Hi, i have an audio issue with Premiere Elements 9.
I just purchased a Dazzle DVC 100. I've captured Video/Audio through Pinnacle Studio no problems.
But when I try to capture in PE9 I only get Video. I have changed every setting i could find under the
audio preferences menus, tried every combination i could but still no audio. Am i missing something?
    Thanks for any help forwarded!
These are the settings i tried.
edit - project settings - playback settings - I've clicked both Desktop Audio/External Device Audio
edit - preference - audio hardware - Default Device - Premiere Elements WDM Sound
ASIO Settings - Input - Realtek Digital Input (selected)
                                                                                                      - Output - Speakers (Realtek High Definition Audio) (selected)
                                                                                                                    - Realtek Digital Output (Realtek High Definition Audio) (selected)
Tried the Default Device: Asio4All v2 setting
This comes up with 2 options Realtek High Def Audio and Dazzle DVC100 Audio Device
I have selected both these still no audio.
    I'm stumped.

Unfortunately the Dazzle is one of those low-end capture units that are pretty much made to work with the video editor that comes with them. Even converting the video won't make it more compatible with Premiere Elements.
As I explain in my books as well as in the FAQs to the right of this forum, the best devices for capturing video for editing your PC are called DV bridges. The best value is the ADS Pyro AV Link, available for about $100 online.
    http://forums.adobe.com/thread/431853?tstart=0
The video it captures load right into Premiere Elements and edit beautifully!

Hello I'm giving feedback about the audio issue people are talking about in this discussion forum.  I have an x230 that keeps having audio issues.  Either the audio buttons stop working or if the buttons work, no sound is heard from the laptop without going into device manager and removing the RealTek audio driver and then letting Win XP find it again.  It appears the issues isn't O/S specific and have also seen that laptops sent to Lenovo have the system board and speakers replaced, however it doesn't resolve the issue.  I also see that by reimaging the laptop, that doesn't solve the issue either.  The details of the machine are below:

Additional updates to the audio and communication application had found to rectify this issues. At the moment I will be setting this post as solved and the resolution. • Realtek HD Audio Manager - Hibernate

I have an MSI MS-7390 Motherboard with WinXP Pro.
When I either turn off my PC completely, or use "hibernate", I always turn off my 4.1 sound system and my monitor, by a shared switch.
I have to do this, or my sound system will be running all the time, as the only switch to really turn it off, is at the backside of the subwoofer.
Now, after hibernating and turning off the subwoofer, when I turn them on again, the Realtek HD Audio Manager always starts up and detects "new hardware" plugged in to the sound jacks. It's always just the subwoofer I only had turned off and on.
What can I do to prevent this?
It's not a majour issue, but annoying nevertheless.
Not turning off the sound system is no option either.

  • Realtek HD audio drivers

I installed my hardware (new build), then set CMOS, then installed OS with no issues. I then installed ATI chipset, cpu, and Realtek LAN drivers with no problem. (I did reboot between installations) I then installed Realtek HD audio drivers. After restarting, no icon for the Realtek audio program appeared in my system tray. The audio does not function. The audio device does not show up in the control panel, in the volume control as an installed device, nor in the device manager. I did make sure that the audio device in enabled within the BIOS. I did update all the drivers and the BIOS through Liveupdate 3. This has not fixed my problem. How do I fix the Realtek HD Audio so I have sound on my system? Help!

  • Realtek HD Audio: Output:OK, Input (Mic): NOT WORKING??!?!?!?!?!?!?

    Hi guys,
I am going to tell you and ask for your advice the wierdest thing happens to my 14-month old Pavilion 6300 series:
    - The PC has Realtek HD Audio built-in (on-board) and having the latest driver (I downloaded off from realtek.tw, latest is 5.10.0.5874)
    - Before I installed that Realtek driver, I had installed Microsoft UAA Bus driver for HD Audio (version 5.10.0.5010)
    - I am running Windows XP Professional SP3
When I plug in a headset (with mic of course, for skype), strange things start like this:
    1. I can hear the output sound, the jack can detect which plug I plug in
    2. But the INPUT (back or front) which is in my case, the MIC, DOES NOT WORK AT ALL.... Jeeze, it drives me NUT!!!
    3. I have turned on ALL the volume related to "MIC" but to no avail. Even the Recording mic volume is grey-out... really no-hope?
    4. I did the Hardware test, it could not detect the mic (no movement from the sound bar)
    5. The headset works well on other machine!!!!
Can somebody tell me that the onboard card got a problem and I have to buy another card???
Thanks a lot in advance guys, really

now what you can try is can try to test the MotherBoard once and if there is any issue with the onboard card then you have to replace the card.
if there is no issues with the MotherBoard then try entering device manager in safemode and uninstall the drivers once and check if its working.

  • Realtek HD Audio Manager - no Line input

    SR5710Y desktop
    Realtek HD Audio Driver 6.0.1.5910
    Windows 7 Home Premium
Microphone input to front or rear panel jacks works and appears in Realtek Audio Manager display and in Windows Sound Recorder.
Line input to rear jack (no Line front jack) does not appear in Realtek display nor in Sound Recorder, but Realtek senses a connection being made to the Line input as it is highlighted in the ANALOG section of the display, and a flag message also appears in Windows indicating that a device has been plugged in.
Also, AUDACITY program detects neither microphone nor line input device.

    Hi:
Did you try the latest HD audio driver directly from the RealTek website?  That has solved various issues.
If you haven't here it is.  Accept the agreement, download and install the first driver on the list.
