Rear channels coming out of the front speak

Doing the speaker test in the Creative Console Launcher has the audio noise for the rear speakers coming out of the front speakers. The sub is being played from the left and right speakers.
I use a X-FI Xtreme Gamer via optical out to a receiver.
Thoughts on fixing this?

Forgot to mention that I can not turn on the Flexijack/digital audio out even when I reinstalled the drivers and software. As shown below, the options just are not available to me while http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v37/TheRealEdwin/myphoto.jpg[/img] alt="Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket">

  • I have my earbuds plugged in but the music is also coming out of the ipod speaker.  this happened before but i dont remember how i fixed it, ideas?

earbuds plugged in but music still coming out of the speaker.  happened before but i dont remember how i fixed it?

    Hey Nick,
The first thing I would check is to make sure your headphones are plugged all the way in.  It may require an extra amount of force to get them to click and pop all the way in.
If that isn't the case, try a hard reset of your iPod.  How you do that depends on what model iPod you have.  See your iPod's User Guide for more assistance, or use this page to help locate your model and then troubleshoot your iPod from there.

  • Sound isn't coming out of the right speaker/headphone

my ipod has cut off the sound to the right headphone... Thought it was just my headphones but it does it to every pair.

I've found that this happens with my 12" powerbook sometimes. There is nothing permanently wrong, just go to your System Prefs > Sound and adjust the balance to the center. For some reason I have to do this every so often.
I was wondering if anyone has found a permanent fix for this, or if there is a way to avoid the problem?

  • Why are there faint static noises coming out of the speaker of my iPod touch

There are faint static noises coming out of the speaker of my iPod touch fifth generation

I Just got home and noticed it. It's coming out of the iPods speaker, Not headphones.
For a few moments it was making popping noises. I shut it down and the static is still going. No sounds are playing.

  • I just purchased a 6  and there is a static sound coming out of the speaker when it is idle. I have the sound on low and turned off and it still makes the static sound.

I just purchased a 128 Gig iPhone 6+. When I have the sound off and volume as low as possible, I get a static sound coming out of the speakers. It is distracting and annoying when I am in meetings, etc. Does anyone know what to do? Thanks in advance.

Couple of things you can try but it looks like you may have to take it in
    1. Settings --> Cellular --> Change "Enable LTE" to just "Data" if available
    2. Toggle your ringer off and on
    3. Settings --> General --> Accessibility --> Toggle Noise reduction off and on
If none of the above works - consider taking it to Apple
If you hear no sound or distorted sound from your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch speaker - Apple Support

  • IMAC freezing, hang during startup, loud noise coming out from the speaker

I am using the iMAC i3 Intel based which i bought it just a month ago
Last week it hang, freeze just like that without me launch any application just yet
I hold the ON button for a restart, and it freeze during the startup
One more thing, sometimes when it freeze, there's a noise coming out from the speaker ( just like there is no signal from the TV )
Already sent it to the Apple Service Center but they tell me it is free from any error, but by the time i bring it back home, not even 12 hours, it freeze again just like that with loud noises coming out from the speaker.
Btw did i mention, sometimes there's also a screen distortion
    Please somebody help me

I've experienced similar symptoms to the original poster's description. I have an iMac 27" 2010 model. This may be related to the following:
I've looked on numerous forums regarding the freezing problem I was having. This problem would arise on a wide range of systems.
Symptoms included but were not all always present - usually when I am loading the system with games/heavy load processes:
    - Full system freeze, screen still on.
    - Loud cracking noise coming from speakers (relative to what volume was at when the freeze happened).
    - Computer asleep but I cannot wake up unless hard reset with power button.
    - My screen backlight was also damaged (permanently dimmed) near the left side, and progressively got worse over time. This was fixed (replaced LCD 27" display $600+ and covered by my creditcard extended warranty)
Basically, what I've come to realize which has not been well documented as far as I could find relating to this problem - is that the system is overheating and causing these freezing errors (and LCD damage in my case). Prologned occurances could result in different system part failures.
How do you fix the overheating problem? Give this a try, it's worked so far for me and I've actually been able to continue video/photo editing without having this annoying freeze.
Search for and download 'iStat Pro' (widget addon that lets you monitor your system temperatures... compare it before and after the fix)
Search for and download 'SMCFanControl (a great little app that allows you to change your system fan speeds) - I did not know this was possible, and have never heard the fans go this high when it was being run automatically by the system. The fan's are obviously louder when set to max, but is well worth the system cooling results.

  • Can you have sound coming out from both internal speaker and speakers connected to the iMac?

I have a pair of KRK Rokit 5 speakers connected to the headphones jack at the back of the iMac.
I use these for playing good quality sound when I need to record on Garageband.
However they are mains powered and have a switch at the back which is difficult to always turn due to the position of the speakers. At the same time I don't want to have the speakers turned on all the time.
Is there a way to enable the Mac to play sound through its onboard speaker without disconnecting the speakers' cable?
Thsi should be possible, becasue whenever I restart the Mac I can hear it s start up jingle clearly coming out from its onboard speaker, even when the external speakers are plugged in.
    Thanks

Unfortunately the iMac is not designed to offer that setup capability.  If you go into your Applications folder>System Preferences>"Sound">here you will find that you can select the device that the iMac's sound output is sent thru (see below)>you will find that you can only select "one" device at a time to receive the audio signal, not multiple devices at once.  The "startup chimes" are separate from the normal audio output and Always come from the internal speakers.

    Hi zachfromlondon,
Thank you for visiting Apple Support Communities.
I'm reading that as "No sound is coming out of the speaker…"

  • How do you Turn off the front Speaker

    Hi everyone,
I hope this isn't too much of a stupid question since the answer is probably very simple, but I just cant seem to figure it out...
Does anyone know how to turn the music coming from the front speaker in the Mac Pro?
    Any advice is appreciated,
    Thanks

Thank you everyone, unfortunately I can't find the right setting under the control panel
Here's a strange variation to this that I'm wondering
    if anybody else has seen.
I plugged in some analog speakers via the line-out in
the back and set the output to the line-out.
Everything goes thru these speakers EXCEPT when I
play a quicktime movie. That is, double-click a QT
movie and it opens (although in the Finder, not
Quicktime Player) and the sound comes out the front
speaker -- which should only get the system sounds
(as I have it set in the sound preferences).
    Anybody else see this strangeness?

  • Some kind of buzz/noise coming out of the desktop speakers when I connect my iPhone 6 plus to my desktop speakers.  Help?

I have the iPhone 6 plus with the current update 8.02.  As soon as I connect my phone to my desktop speaker jack, I can hear an intermittent, low-level buzz/noise coming out of the speakers.  I've never experienced this noise with my iPhone 4S or my laptop connected.
Is this maybe a grounding issue with the phone? Could mine be defective?
I just tried a friend's 6 plus and his doesn't make the same noise.
    Thanks for your feedback.

I have the iphone 6 plus and when I play a ringtone or a video or music and stop it, the speaker of my phone make a little sound like shhhhhh haha, why? and still there for a few seconds and sometimes minutes

  • Refurbished MacBook Pro, coming apart at the front.

    Hello,
I recently purchased a refurbished MacBook Pro (the 2.0ghz 256mb VRAM model) which I received on Thursday. I'll start off by saying this is an awesome machine, the whine is essentially non-existant, the screen is perfect, and the heat seems to be just fine.
However the front faceplate (for lack of a better term) is seperating from the top part and the grey plastic bezel, as well the front latch button is very scratched up. It looks like it was a pretty poor repair job, but it's impossble to tell if it was Apple that messed it up, or if it was the previous owner.
Anyways, I was wondering if this was terms to be sent back in for repair? I understand that it's a reconditioned product, and I'd be fine with it having minor nick's and scratches on the outer case (which this one doesn't, aside form the front issue, I think everyone would think it was brand new).
If anyone has any input, or experience with requesting a return of a refurb, please respond. Thanks.
I still strongly believe that the reconditioned MBPro's are an awesome option for people to look into, especially those debating between the MB and the MBP, or those just looking to save some $$$.

The scratches you may have to live with, because it's
a refurbished product. What exactly is coming apart?
On my (non-refurbished) MBP, the front of the case
above the sleep light very slightly bulges out. That
seems to be nothing to worry about, just a slight a
fit-and-finish problem that won't get worse.
If, however, the top case is vertically coming apart
from the bottom, you should call AppleCare. Then the
MBP has not been put back together properly.
Thanks for the reply Tim. Yes it does bulge out at the front right above the latch, but it sticks out vertically as well so whenever I put some pressure on it, lik using the track pad for example, it makes a bad sqeaking noise.
I'll give AppleCare a call today and see what they can do about it.

  • Why is does audio only come out of the left speaker when I press the latency button....?!?!

    Hello
I have a small problem which I hope someone can advise me on ......
Everytine I press the Latecny button on Logic 9 the audio will stop coming out of the LEFT and RIGHT speakers and only come out of the LEFT speaker ?
Audio sent out of DAW --------> Mixng Deck  ------> back into Soundcard via SPDIF (digital) on inputs 9/10
I am sening al my sounds out of the computer to be summed on a mixing decks and then the 2 channles of audio from the deck is coming back into my soundcard as an digital a signle on INPUTS 9/10.
    Can anyone please advise ..........!?!

Might want to read on what Low Latency mode does + why and when you should use it.
It's basically only used in realtime monitorinr when recording and/or when recording softsynths.
By reading the docs you should be able to figure out why the right side is being muted.
    http://documentation.apple.com/en/logicpro/usermanual/index.html#chapter=41%26se ction=2%26tasks=true
Be sure software monitoring is Off when recording the summed input.

I'd wait. What can't you do that you need? You mean you want to buy a new model, then why not wait for an actual new one, not the two year old 5,1, when you need to and have outgrown.
Yours will run Mountain Lion. yours is 4 yrs old and still supported and has life left.
