Rearranging Photos in a clump

I'm making a stop motion film. I just recently imprted 200 photos. The photos were place on the end of the timeline. I'm trying to put them in a different place on the timeine. Can I highlight them all and do this. The only way I have been able to do it is one by one, which u can appreciate is painful.

Select the first clip. Hold the Shift key and select the last clip. Or drag a box from outside the first clip the drag through and selects all the clips. Or go to the timeline index and select the first clip and with the Shift key select the last clip in the list.

  • How do you rearrange photos in iPhoto's on iPad.

In the help drop down in iPhoto it says that you can drag to rearrange photos.  I can't get this to work and I want to reorder my photos.

That help item is only telling you that you can drag the top bar to make it larger or narrower. This rearranges the photos into one, two or three columns. I wish we could drag photos to put them into a different order but it seems one cannot.

  • How do you rearrange photos in an iPhoto library?

I am trying to rearrange photos in iPhoto so I can make a slideshow that makes sense.  I can't seem to move photos once they are there.

Where are you trying to rearrange the photos?  In the slideshow mode or in an album?
In the slideshow you can drag a photo from one position in the thumbnail tray at the top to wherever you wnat it.
In an album use the View ➙ Sort ➙ Manual menu option to let you drag the photos into any order you'd like.
What system and iPHoto verson are you using? Are you really running 10.3.6?

  • Rearranging photo thumbnails in Organizer window

Is there a way to rearrange photo thumbnails manually in the Organizer? Most software enables a drag-and-drop function but apparently not here. Any suggestions? Thanks.

    Philip
In the full Organizer, the Views available (lower left corner) are Newest, Oldest, Folder and Import Batch. Within the full Organizer, I don't believe you can do as you wish.
If you make a collection, you can re-arrange the images within the collection by dragging and dropping. This is often used to re-arrange pictures for a specific project, making a slide show or web page say.
I guess in theory you could create a collection that included all your pictures and then drag and drop within that. Never tried this so you may run into some kind of file limit.

How do you rearrange photos in a folder by file name on an ipad?

I don't believe it's possible under the standard "Photos" app (built-in) in iOS.
However, there appear to be many downloadable apps that will allow you to do this. Search the App Store for something like "photo sort".

  • Rearranging photos in grid view

Mac OS 10.5.6 Lightroom 2.2 Camera RAW 5.12
My understanding is that photos cannot be rearranged in grid view in the parent folder. However, in a sub-folder to the parent folder it is possible to rearrange photos. I have several folders in the exact same hierarchy level inside a parent folder. All photos in all folder can be rearranged into user order except the photos in one folder in the same hierarchy level as the other folder mentioned above. It was previously possible to rearrange photos in this folder but now it is not. The only change is that I have imported some photos into Lightroom from a sub-folder to this folder where the photos cannot be sorted into user order. So the folder in question has NOT changed in the hierarchy level order, but a sub-folder to this folder has become part of the Lightroom library with new imports. How the heck can this import lock the photos in the folder and prevent them form being sorted (if this is what is causing the lock issue)? I would really appreciate some help since rearranging and sort photos is a main function of editing and organizing. This is an extremely annoying feature of Lightroom that hopefully will be corrected soon.
Please advice on how I can unlock the photos in this folder and sort them in user order

Remove the subfolder after lifting the images up into one folder is another solution.

  • Rearrange photos in an album

How do I rearrange photos in a saved album in IOS 8?

    Hi Jennifer,
As far as I know there's no such function as "Reverse Photo Order".
I'd recommend you to make an album for that page in iPhoto and have it the right way 'round there. When adding new photos or reordering you would simply put them in the album and re-export to iWeb. That's what seems to be the easiest and best way to me...

  • How do I sort and rearrange photos like power point charts?

I am trying to create a slideshow in iphoto.  I am in faces view. How do I sort and rearrange photos like power point charts?

You are asking how to use Aperture, unfortunately a question that is a bit overly broad. Aperture will certainly allow you to do exactly what you ask, but I suggest buying a book/CD/tutorial and working all the lessons to learn the process.
What you want is a tutorial, not a manual. One acceptable tutorial is:
Apple Pro Training Series: Aperture 3  by Dion Scoppettuolo (Apr 23, 2010)
One mandatory thing to do that many tutorials fail to note is:
Back up original image files on and off site before using Aperature or any other images management application.

  • Rearranging Photos in Book

I am creating a book on iPhoto 9.2.3 (Snow Leopard). I have not done so in a few years. In the past I thought I could move/rearrange photos from page to page when in “all pages.”  Like drag a photo on page 3 to a placement on page 12.  But in “all pages” all I can do is rearrange pages.  Is this possible, or am I thinking of the books I created on Shutterfly? The only way I can seem to move photos to different pages is to open page 3 and remove photo.  Then open page 12 and drag in the photo.  Is this the only way?  I like seeing all pages (the entire book) and rearranging photos from there.

Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the apple and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild.

  • Rearranging photos

How can I rearrange photos in an event/album so that they burn in that same order to a new CD?

You would have to first put the photos in an album, manually sort them and  use the Photos ➙ Batch Rename ➙ Title ➙ Text menu option with the option to add a sequential number to the new title.
Then export those photos to a folder on the Desktop via the File ➙ Export ➙ File Export menu option with the option to use the file name as the new file name.
Then burn the folder with the photos to the CD.  That will put them in the same order on the CD as you had them in the album.
