Reason 7 Link Down errors on wi-fi
Hello,
my wifi disconnects every 30 seconds.
I have these errors in /var/log/system.log:
Link Down on en1. Reason 7 (Frame received from nonassociated STA).
My iPad can connect with the same wifi access point without any issue, so it definitely looks like an issue on OSX.
Other wifi access points work well on my MBP, so it doesn't look like a hardware issue.
All suggestions are welcome!
Can't answer that, but here are some more ideas.

Hi all,
I am on a field campaign with my Labview-controlled instrument. I wanted to make a small change to the code and build it again for uploading to a cFP-2020 Fieldpoint but the application builder stopped with the following error message:
Error 7 occurred at ABAPI Dist Report Read Link Info Error.vi -> ABAPI Dist Cmp Settings to Disk Hier.vi -> ABAPI Get Settings From File2.vi -> ABAPI Get Settings From File.vi -> RTBEP_Invoke_Build_Engine.vi -> RTBUIP_Build_Invoke.vi -> RTBUIP_Build_Invoke.vi.ProxyCaller
This is another computer than the one I used in the lab previously so might have forgotten to install something. I just copied the whole application folder with project file and subfolders
to the Laptop I am using now. Labview version should be the same though (8.20).
Any suggestions?
OlafHello Olaf,
This error is usually found when a subVI or a support file (DLL, custom control, etc)
isn't able to be found by the application builder. Possible reasons
for this could include subVIs no longer located in their original
paths and in need to be relinked, a DLL that isn't included in the build,
and many other possibilities.
You wrote that you copied the project from another PC, so it is very possible that some file went missing. Are all VIs in your project executable?
You could try to mass compile all the VIs in your project and see if that helps.

Johannes

Occasional problem with eth0 link down after booting
Hi,
Every so often after booting up the PC there is not any working network connection. Looking through the output of dmesg, I find "eth0 link down" messages. Not knowing a lot about networking lead me to resort to rebooting to resolve the problem, and rebooting does indeed resolve the problem. Today I discovered the post at [url http://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=117728] which suggests similar behaviour.
I played around with ifconfig and initially thought I was seeing the same behaviour, but believe I was mistaken. I can't actually confirm until it happens if my new found knowledge will actually resolve the problem without rebooting.
I'd like to try and track down the source of the problem, and either file a bug report or take some other (configuration) measure, but need help tracing it.
Hardware in question is: Ethernet controller: Realtek Semiconductor Co., Ltd. RTL8111/8168B PCI Express Gigabit Ethernet controller (rev 01)
and I'm using the testing repository in Arch. Any help appreciated.
Cheers,
James.I have the exact same problem and I have the exact same ethernet controller/chip.
I've not looked that much why it was doing this. Maybe auto-negotiation fail for I don't know which reason, maybe something else, hard to tell. I might try to investigate this a bit more next time it does me this.
That said, what I'm doing when I'm seeing that my eth0 has no carrier, I'm doing a "ip link set eth0 down", wait a few seconds, and then a "ip link set eth0 up", and then it's usually fine. Since I'm personally using static IP addresses, I also have to re-add the default route after that, i.e. a "ip route add default via 192.168.1.1" to be able to go out of my LAN again. This will be different if you are using DHCP. -

Support,
Yesterday for no apparent reason the fiber link between my SRW224G4 and SLM248G went down. Luckily I have a backup SRW224 switch with a mini-GBIC. I tried both ports on the SRW224G4 switch. Neither would sync with the SLM248G switch. I moved the mini-GBIC to the SRW224 switch. This got the network back up.
Why did not SRW224G4 switch fail? I've looked through the logs and only see link down entries. Is there a way to test the switch to see why it failed? Do I need to relpace the switch? Is it still under warranty? What are my options??
Thanks,
Bill Vi've checked the datasheet for the device and the warranty period is 5 years. you already tried to use a different mini-gbic card for the device, right? i suggest that you try to swap the gbic card also to verify if that will work.

[SOLVED] Pitivi playing fails (streaming stopped, reason not-linked)

Link down and Link Up Snmp trap C#
Hi i've configure my cisco router to receive the SNMP traps if the link goes up or down. However i found out that when i plugged out the cable i'm not receiving any link down on the network management system. Until i plugged in again the link will then show up or down state. May i know whats the reason why i can't receive the link down when i plugged out my cable?
If your router has only fa0/0 as active interface, then this would be the interface that the router would use to communicate with the network management system. However when you unplug that interface now the router has no interface that it can use to send the link down trap to the network management system.

i've checked the cable and it's good (it work with a normal pc)
the led on the switch is on (it's green)
maybe i need some patch
how can i do?gio,
You didn't necesarily do anything wrong.
You do not necessarily have any broken equipment.
There may just be somthing that is incomplete in the setup.
Begin by checking if your network settings were set up correctly by running:
<b># ifconfig -a</b>
(it's usually best to troubleshoot while you are root user)
If the output from the <i>ifconfig</i> command seem to be complete, you could always think about reconfiguring the NIC all over again.
If you are not sure, then just paste the entire output results back here.
Also, use the forum search function, using keyword <u>sys-unconfig</u>.
Next, read the Solaris man pages for sys-unconfig.
That command will force you to repeat the setup of the connection. -

Link (dyld) error - non boot safari 3.2.1
Hi, this is on tiger.11, G4. After working fine forever, last night this happened, see subject. I didn't install anything relevant, afaik. I do periodically install things like thunderbird nightlies, but have been doing this forever too, I don't think related. Now, when I click on safari icon, this message [I added the brackets] appears instead of safari 3.2.1 app:
[Link (dyld) error:
Library not loaded: /System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/Syndication.framework/Versions/A/Syndication
Referenced from: /System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/SyndicationUI.framework/Versions/A/Syndicatio nUI
Reason: image not found]
I ran OnyX x1 on 1st crash. Repaired permissions x2, not counting that OnyX does that too. (Do I need to boot from DVD & repair from there in this case?) I used 3rd party "delete app" to remove all hidden & related files (supposedly) as well. Nothing worked, still crash after install of fresh safari downloaded direct from apple downloads (yes, I downloaded the tiger version). Is the library for "syndication" something that has to be reinstalled from DVD & how did this get corrupted if that's the problem? Are some hard or soft links missing & how did that happen (if it did)? It seems absurd to have to do an archive & install just to get safari back.
So I don't have a working safari now. Please advise. Thank you.Hi Paul
It's possible something you added to the system overrode or deleted one of the system files, which is triggering the error.
Do you have a backup of your system? If you do, navigate to this location via the Finder: /System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/SyndicationUI.framework/Versions/A Inside that folder, move the SyndicationUI file to the same location in your current HD.
The alternative is to reinstall the Operating System, using Archive and Install Option, or if you live near an Apple Store someone at the Genius Bar will help you recover from the crash. -

You should have taken it back to apple immediately.
You need to try a clean install of the OS.. yosemite has known bugs especially with the wireless and if you upgrade installed the OS it can just get worse.
You should do a clone of the hard disk and a Time Machine backup etc.. to make sure you don't lose files.. but a clean install will at least show if it is driver issue or actual faulty hardware. Is the laptop still in warranty / Applecare.. if so return it to apple for checking. -

I'm experiencing frequent (every 11 minutes or so) mouse-down errors. As this occurs in any variety of apps, including the Finder, the application in-use seems to not be a factor.
I will be using an application and suddenly the track-pad no longer works. This is will last for between one and three minutes. Sometimes, the front-most window will veer suddenly to the left so that it is halfway off the screen. I will be unable to move it until the mouse-down error ends. Most of the time, I can continue to move the mouse around during these events, but I can't click on or move anything. Sometimes, gestures (like 4 finger push up to reveal Mission Control) will be disabled during these events, but not always. During these events, I am also unable to drag and drop any files from one space to another.
This is extremely frustrating and very disruptive to my work and I would really appreciate any help in resolving this.
The problem began a week or so ago after I installed more than a dozen applications; I have experimented with quitting one menulet at a time with no results. It seems to me, since the error is occurring on a fairly regular basis that one background process or another is causing it so the offending app would need to be fully uninstalled, not just quit anyway.
I'm wondering, at this point, if I should just restore from a two week old backup, but I would really like to avoid that hassle if it's possible to simple identify the offending process.
These are some of the console logs of mouse-downs:

Thank youTry un-installing SIMBL. It is a system hack.
SIMBL Uninstall
SIMBL Uninstall (2) See solution posted by Linc Davis .
Try un-installing the applications you installed. Un-install using the developer’s instructions to make sure you remove all parts of the application. Some people recommend not installing an application unless you know how to remove it. When you find the problem application, you can try re-installing the others. -
BPEL instances invisisble - ORABPEL-05002 - reason is FOTY0001: type error.
I have a BPEL process which gets initiated by messages from a JMS Queue. Version 1 of this same process works fine. But when I deploy a version 2 of the same process (which is compiling fine), it errors out. Strangely the instances are not appearing in the BPEL Console. JMS Messages also read and committed.
When I take a look at log at <HOME>/opmn/logs, I could see the following error. I am not sure what is going wrong as I didnt change anything in XSL.

What I would do is make sure that you successfully can call the BPEL process using a tool like soapUI and compare the format of that message to the one your JMS queue is providing.
Do you by any chance provide a message part of type string which actually contains XML?
