Reason beat tempo not syncing with Logic Tempo???
Hi,
Made a beat in Reason 5
Exported loop at 137 bpm and saved to external hard drive.
Imported loop into Logic with Logic tempo set at 137 bpm.
Set the metronome on for recording. Pressed record and and beat & metronome are out of sync.
I used beat detection to try find the tempo (said it was 137.1672 or something) yet still the metronome & beat go out of sync...
Any ideas?
I'm going to try saving the beat to the internal harddrive and see if that is the problem.
The external hard drive is USB not firewire.

to bring your reason audio into logic in perfect sync, open reason as a rewire slave to logic and set up a logic aux track input to reason L&R. Set your locators in logic to the loop length and bounce (with "add to audio bin" enabled so its easy to drag it into your song). This locks the 2 clocks together. Which drive your audio is on is irrelevant.

you need to use Triplet sequence in the song?
have you tried to set Tempo sign at 3/4 or 6/4 or 12/8?

Logic x not synced with material in rewire app when played from start and when bounced.
When rewiring logic x and reason, play from start in logic..(this doesn't happen when you play from start in reason) when the playhead is at 0 it kind of goes back a millisecond and plays... which makes it not synced with material in rewire application. Sure you can always hit play in Reason or Rewire app... but this is completely unsuable when bouncing the project!!!! Help please!!!!

I'm sorry to read that you are having issues with your Sync account.
Your best bet is to follow the steps described in this blogposts and open a bug:

After that, if you don't want to user Sync in your computer, you can stop it with this simple steps:
* At the top of the Firefox window, click on the Firefox button (Tools menu in Windows XP) and then click Options.
* Once the options window opens, click on the Sync tab.
* At the bottom of the Sync tab click on '''Deactivate this Device''' link -

For some reason my iPod will not sync with my computer. It comes up with an error code 13019. Does anyone know what this code means or how I could find out?

ICal not syncing with MobileMe
I know there have been other posts on this, but I have tried them all and cannot figure this out. MobileMe is syncing with my iPhone 4 (iOS 4.2) but it is not syncing with my MacBook under my current user profile. I created a new profile as a test and it synced with no issues. I have tired signing out and back into my MobileMe account, deleting the calendar cache, deleting the calendar folder, reinstalling ical, etc. I cannot figure this out and I am feeling my only option left is to upgrade to Snow Leopard. Any help on this?
For whatever reason, iCal has suddenly "come back to life for me." I did a backup and restore (did not by itself seem to solve the problem), then Reset Sync History, then rebooted my MBP, then Reset Sync History again, and then initiated a manual sync in the MobileMe control panel. Voila! iCal populated with the MobileMe data, and it appears that not only did iCal receive data, it also sent updates of its own on over to MM and thereby to my phone. We'll see if the reliability of the MM "ecosystem" under 10.5.5 gets, well, more reliable.

my iphone 5 will not sync with my macbook pro. it says my computer is no longer authorized to download purchased items from the iphone. However, when I go to authorize my computer, it says it is already authorized. How do I fix this?
You can't change the Apple ID that the Authorize dialog comes up with by default. It's showing you that Apple ID for a reason: it means that the items you want to play were purchased using that Apple ID and therefore you need to authorize your computer with that Apple ID. Changing the Apple ID given completely defeats the entire purpose.
If you don't know the password to the given Apple ID, then you will no longer be able to play those items. -
Okay, I checked the other topics here but I don't see anything that quite matches my issue. I recently (like many others) updated to iTunes 9 (I'm using Windows Vista), and now my 5th Gen 30gb video iPod won't sync. I'm not getting any error messages, it's just... not doing anything. I click on 'sync', and the button fades like it usually does when it starts to sync, but it only does that for literally a second and then it just stops and goes back to normal. Nothing updates, nothing happens. It's still charging, and it's recognizing that it's connected, it just WILL NOT SYNC.
It's making me really sad. Anyone else having this issue? What should I do?I hoped the updates to iTune 9 (iTunes 9.0.1) would resolve my issue but it has not. My 120GB iPod Classic does indeed sync with iTunes perfectly with one exception. Like OldWhiskers, my Smart Playlists of video podcasts will not sync with my iPod. The playlists work fine on my White 17" iMac (running Mac OS X 10.5.8... so it's not a Snow Leopard thing), but after syncing my iPod, the podcasts don't show up on the playlist under my iPod in iTunes or when I disconnect and look at them directly on the iPod. When look at the iPod, the smart playlists in question do not show up at all, but in iTunes under my iPod it says they're on the iPod, but there are no podcasts in those playlists. And it's not the podcasts that aren't syncing. They're on the iPod under podcasts, but just don't show up in the smart playlist on my iPod or under iPod in iTunes. So until this is resolved I'm just watching my podcasts smart playlist on my Mac and not even bothering syncing the podcasts to my iPod. I would have to constantly navigate to the next podcast every time one finished. Very annoying. Smart playlists have me spoiled and are the reason I bought an iPod and use iTunes over Zune and other alternatives... so fix it, cause that HD Zune would look nice docked to my HDTV.

My Mac Mini will charge - but not sync with - USB-connected devices (ipod, camera, memory card reader). I have tried unplugging the devices, restarting the computer, selectively unplugging and plugging in the devices, closing and opening the relevant applications (iTunes, iPhoto, etc). I have tried using different USB cables.
It's like all of a sudden the synching service stopped functioning or recognizing these devices for some reason. The other ports work just fine (monitor).
The only USB-connected external device that appears to be unaffected is the USB SuperDrive and it works on all the USB ports into which I plug it.
How do I fix this?Open Console in Applications>Utilities & see if there are any clues or repeating messages when this happens or doesn't happen.

Yes, my iPhone 5 running ios 7 will not sync in *any* way with itunes now. I can neither add nor remove content via itunes. I just tried to delete 100% of my music from my iphone, it hung forever on "Waiting for changes to be applied" and then when it was finally done... no changes had been applied.
I can't add, remove, change, delete or in any way of any kind sync my iphone with itunes any longer.
I'm becoming the person who refuses to update to the new Apple OS. I used to get very excited about new OS updates. That all ended around Mountain Lion. Yesterday when I saw that Mavericks was out I wasn't excited. Instead I felt a sense of dread, and for good reason. Every time they release an OS in the last few years it's just a cluster-F. -

Why won't it sync? Are you getting any sort of error message during the sync process? If so what is the exact wording of that error message? If this the computer you normally sync the iPod with?

Outlook 2003 notes not syncing with iphone
I cannot say for sure if this is a new problem as when I first purchased the iPhone 3GS 32GB (iOS 4) in June, running iTunes 9.2.0.61 on XP (all current updates applied), I got all notes from Outlook onto the iPhone. I updated some notes yesterday in Outlook, and noticed they weren't sync'd with the iPhone. This applies to both updated or new notes on Outlook. The same applies in reverse, in that any notes updated/created on the iPhone does not sync with Outlook.
Any sage advice on what's going on?You are right, of course. There are so many threads on this subject, too many to count, and they go no where definitive. This is a symptom of a problem that is being experienced by iPhone users who use Windows & Outlook.
I am NOT a Windows user, and have been using various species of Linux for years, and am currently using Ubuntu on my desktop and notebook. I have been using Evolution, which is a linux version of Outlook. I now have setup a separate box to run XP and Outlook. I have tried using VMware running a virtual Windows XP on my Ubuntu box, which I have been using off and on for years with success. But, installing iTunes on the virtual Windows, and trying to sync causes the virtual Windows to hang - most unusual. Never got it figured out, hence, the Windows box.
Like I said before, iTunes is a cluge. And to it, they added the sync which ***** at best. Apple should re-think their strategy, and focused on iTunes as being a damned good multi-media application, which will sync with Mac/Windows/Linux. Then, they should have another application, something called "iSync" or "iFiles" which specializes in syncing up anything other than multi-media, such as contacts, calendars, notes/memos, tasks. This would be a nice tight piece of code, allowing to sync with Mac/Windows/Linux.
Wish I could've been more help.
PS. For whatever reason, notes are being sync'd across to the iPhone. I noticed this a "few" syncs ago. I don't know why it decided to sync notes, whereby, it didn't a week or more ago. It's at the point now, where I don't expect anything consistent when the sync happens. If it goes across, fine, if it doesn't maybe in a few days. Not the best approach if you are relying on this device for a profession/business! -

Not true. The music and pic sync is one way - computer to iphone. The only exception is itunes purchases. Without syncing: File>Transfer Purchases
You really should transfer everything from the old computer, or your backup copy of your computer. Since you do not have access to the old computer, then use your backup copy of the old computer.
If for some reason you have failed to maintain a backup copy of your computer ( not good), then you would have to transfer itunes purchased as described earlier. Any other itunes content would be lost.
You can e-mail photo library pics to yourself, but they will not be of the original quality.
Before syncing, enter at least one unique contact and calendar entry on the computer. When you first sync, then you should get the option to merge the data. -

Of course not... it's not supposed to. There is no issue with that.
iDevices only show as cameras so that pictures/videos taken with the device can be copied off.
What troubleshooting has been tried to get iTunes to recognize the device?
Different sync cable?
Multiple USB ports?
Reset or restart or the device?
Rebooting the computer?
