Reason Code automatically defaulted in dispute created from FBL5N

Hi Guys,
Your help would be greatly appreciated here.
We have a situation where ONLY for document type RV (Billing transfer), the reason code is defaulted to "AA" awaiting audit. This happens when I select a particular customer invoice from FBL5N and create a dispute from there. While creation of dispute, it does not ask me for any reason code entry and is not even there as an input field, but when I save this dispute and view it in the corresponding FI document, the reason code gets populated as AA in additional information tab of financial document.
We want to change this reason code from AA to DI but we dont seem to find where to change this.
I have revisited every possible configuration for dispute management and even checked "Define Default Values" in dispute management and we have not mentioned AA as default value anywhere. But we are not able to find it. Note: This is happening only for document type RV and for other doc types no reason code gets updated.
Is there any configuration which I might have missed?

I was hoping you would respond to this considering your experience in this. I have checked for substitutions already but there is no such substitution which exists. Our technical team is trying to find out if it is hardcoded but they have not had any clue so far. Some routine would hardly be a case because the accounting document is already existing and after this the dispute is being created. i.e. the dispute is not getting created on the SD side nor it is getting created at the time of transfer of docs from SD to FI. It is purely during FI-Dispute link up after SD part is over. However, I will still tell my technical team to look into it.

    I agree with Ravishankar, that this is more of a question regd operational process being followed by your business team.
    You might want to explain them tht it would be better of that to have below process
    1) initially AR residual has a reason code
    2) DC gets created automatically with the reason code of AR residual
    3) in case the Reason code needs to be changed now, change it in the DC case itself.
    4) to reflect changes made in step 3 to the AR residual online, you need to make settings in spro @ FSCM -- DM -- Process Ingegration with AR -- Auto doc changes from DC -- Define doc changes
    If you get the above steps employed, you will have one version of truth across AR and DC with respect to Reason codes.

  • Is there a way to hide some reason codes in dispute management without deleting?

    Within SAP Dispute management (UDM_DISPUTE) we would like to remove some of the available reason codes in the drop down on the search screen and available to assign drop down, but not physically delete them.  Is there a way to do this? 
    I know if I physically delete them out of the Reason code list (SPRO -> FSCM -> dispute management -> Dispute Case Processing -> Case types -> Create Values for Attribute "Reason") then if an old dispute case that used that reason code is displayed, the four digit number code will be displayed rather than the description.  So we would prefer to not physically delete the code / description from the reason codes but somehow make them non-display, or inactive. 
    Any thoughts on this?

    you may consider the functionality "personal list", putting all valid reason codes in and leaving out those you do not want to show. Maybe your Authorisation / Security Team can also help you performing this exercise for all affected users at once.

  • Not Ready Reason Codes

    Is anyone familiar with configuring Not Ready Reason Codes in Desktop Administrator, more specifically creating a new one?  From all Cisco's documentation it should be a simple task.
    However, when I create the new Reason Code in ICM Configuration Manager, it does not populate to the Reason Code list in Desktop Workflow Administrator.
    The version of UCCE we are running is version 8.0.

    check your CAD is synced with ICM, especially check the configuration for AW in CAD post install.
    in CAD, reason codes automatically synchronises once configured in ICM. and then you can assign them to workflows.

    Hi,
    1. During lock processing, whether lock box post residual or partial payments is controlled in configuration. In transaction code OBAY, defaul is residual, or you can choose partial payment.
    2. Lockbox will not populate reason code by default. In the BAI2 format, there is a field for reason code. Either you can work with the bank to populate that field. In our company we have a custom pre processing program that populate the field with a default reason code for all residual payments. During post processing, users change that to appropriate different reason codes depending on whether they going to write it off or keep it as a residual open itme on customer.
    3. You can control the population of reason code using substitution rules. For example any payment difference that is less than $50, you can write a substitution rule populate a certain reason code during posting. There is no standard configuration to do this.

      A.Configuration OBBE we can configure, with the tick "C", and OBXL we can assign GL a/c and rules activate Reason code.
    3.Partial /Residual payment with different gl with reason code.
       A. while posting F-28 , or F-53 difference amount post in the field we have to field Reason code and Differences amount and  simulate,
    Note:If we select Reason code xxx with "C" in this scenario system will through error, we have to use other reason code except "C".
      Each reason code we can configure according to our requirements.
    4.Invoice is posted customer refuses to Pay.
       No idea in sap.

  • Multiple reason code in payment advice

    We have requirement to put multiple reason code at the time of cash application which we can do manually via f-28 and via payment advice
    F-28 is working fine but payment advice is not
    Steps
    Booked AR invoice of $1000
    Create payment advice of $1000 with below line item and reason code.
    AR Cr 200$ with reason code p1
    AR Cr 300$ with reason code p2
    AR Cr 400$ with reason code p3
    AR Cr 100$ with reason code p4
    Apply cash using payment advice.
    Issue
    The first line of payment advice is booked as on account AR Cr 200$ without reason code p1 and residual is created for  other 3 lines
    I am expecting the result should be that it should create residual for all the 4 lines with correct reason code.
    Expected result
    AR Cr 200$ with reason code p1
    AR Cr 300$ with reason code p2
    AR Cr 400$ with reason code p3
    AR Cr 100$ with
    Is it something i am missing at the time of creating payment advice or applying cash.
    I tested and had issue with the first item of payment advice. There should be something I missed in the payment advice creation .

    Hi,
    What you could possibly do if the reasons for rejection are similar for each lot is to create these combinations as UD codes and assign them to your selected set. Else you could record the reasons for the rejection in the long text and display this long text on your reporting.

  • No messages created from split mapping

    Hello,
    My Scenario is JDBC to Proxy and there is  1:n Mapping
    I had done the multi mapping and done the all the necessary configuration in the MM, IM and ID
    I tested the payload in the MM and IM and it is working fine.
    But while iam doing the end to end testing in the ID --- Test Configuration,It is showing the error at Interface Determinmation and Mapping step.

    Now my message mapping is working, the error is in the messagetype i declared 'row' as capital letters,due to this in the runtime it is erroring out in the request message mapping.

  • Problem with files created from a template

    I've never had this problem before and I can't seem to figure
    out how to fix it. I have DW 8 and we've created a new website, and
    we have a root cfm template named root.dwt.cfm. Everything works as
    normal when you're editing code in the template, but when you go to
    edit code in a file you created from the template, all the text is
    black and it doesn't offer code hints or anything. It's like it
    doesn't know what type of file it is or something? This is the
    first template I've created in DW 8, so is this some sort of bug?
    Is there anything I can try to check to figure out what's going on?
    I'm at a loss.

    If a user forgets to assign a reason code, how can they add it via FBL5N?  When you go into the item and you select Additional Data, it is not there.

    I did that before and I got an error message:
    field BSEG-RSTGR does not exist in the screen SAPMF05L 1301
    That is why I find it odd that I am not able to drill into the particular line item, change, and then additional data, the reason code field is not there.
    That is why I thought there was something wrong in the original config but I cannot find it.

    I creted a reason code in obxl t-code and assigned a gl code in OBXL transaction code, But when I am trying to clear a payment with reason code in F-28, System is throwing the following error..Can some one tell me why i am getting this error?

    Message no. F5605
    Diagnosis
    The reason code entered is designed to ensure that the payment difference amount is posted to an account specially set up for this purpose.  Postings of this nature usually require additional specifications (e.g. tax code, business area). If the difference stems from a single open item, the necessary specifications can be taken from that item. In the case that led to this error message, however, the difference does not stem soley from one item, which means that this method cannot be used.
    System Response
    The reason code entered is not accepted.
    Procedure
    You can either select a different reason code, which would create a new open item for the customer or vendor OR write off the difference using the function Charge off diff.. This function either takes you into a pre-configured account assignment model or into the document overview. From here you can enter the required difference postings.

    It seems while entering the payment (partial payment / residual items) ... you are clearing multiple items with differences. (e.g. if the difference amount is $30, then may the difference consists of two invoices underpaid by $15 each). In this scenario, F-28 doesn't know which additional account assignment fields should be picked up ... hence the error.
    First of all, to validate that this indeed is the case, try clearing a payment with the same reason code where difference can be attributed to a single invoice. If you still get an error, then there is some other problem.
    Then, to take care of a the business scenario where the difference can indeed be due to multiple documents, select "charge off difference" option and create an entry to post the difference as necessary.

    We are on ECC 6.0 without application of any enhancement package.
    Requirement is to capture reasons of short payment received from customer and generate a report based on such reason codes.
    Reasons of short payment received could be - Adhoc payment; Excess billed; Tax deducted at source (TDS) on freight / service charges and Bank charges etc.
    Let me know relevant configuration required.
    Would reason codes be captured during incoming payment entry or customer account clearing?

    Following is the configuration for Reason code for customer payments. It can be short payment, over payment or discount not allowed.
    First step is to define reason code. You do this in Financial Accounting (New >Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable>Incoming Payments>Incoming Payments Global Settings>Overpayment/Underpayment>Define Reason Codes
    Define reason code , short text, long text and assign it to correspondence type. (please note correspondence type settings needs to be done first).  There is a column c which is Indicator: Charge off difference via separate account set this if you want to post the difference to seperate account during clearing customer open item.
    The second step is to define accounts for payment difference.
    Financial Accounting (New >Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable>Incoming Payments>Incoming Payments Global Settings>Overpayment/Underpayment>Define Accounts for Payment Differences
    Assign G/L accounts against reason codes.
    The third step is Define Reason Code Conversion Version
    Financial Accounting (New >Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable>Incoming Payments>Incoming Payments Global Settings>Overpayment/Underpayment>Define Reason Code Conversion Version
    In this step, you make the default settings you need for the manual incoming payment processing via payment advice notes. If differences between the payment advice item and the total of the allocated open items occur after selecting the open items, you can enter a reason code in the payment advice item. This represents the reason for the reduction of the payment amount specified by the paying person.
    Create version 001 and name for it.
    For correspondence type create or assign relevant form and print program in global settings> correspondence
    Once you have these settings you can insert appropriate reason code while clearing customer open item .
    You can print correspondence via T-ode F.62 on a monthly basis or wekly basis.

  • When creating a travel expense, an incorrect input tax code is defaulted

    Dear experts,
    I'm new with SAP customizing in Travel Management. I have an issue that I cannot solve and I've tried almost all possibilities.When an employee tries to create a travel expense in PR05, him being from Belgium, the default input tax code for any expense type is, for example V3. This code exists in FI and will be transferred correct into accounting. But, if the employee wants to change the the country key in the field Country of Receipt (found in additional info section), anything other than the domestic country (BE) will automatically change the input tax from V3 to V0, which we don't even have in FI.
    I tried the following:
    - checked under global settings and for Belgian trip provision variant there was always Input Tax per Travel Expense Type flagged and V3 with cocd BE;
    - checked each and every expense type for the default input tax and all have V3.
    I had to create a country grouping EU for all European Countries. All maximum rates for different expense types have been defined using this EU code. Might it be this grouping?
    Any new expense type, similar to any of the ones I have problems with, will keep the default V3 tax code no matter if I change the country of receipt.
